I apologize for not updating recently, I've been very busy with college as I'm in 5 days a week and when I come home I do course work and end up falling asleep afterwards because I'm so tired but your luck's in order as here's a new but short chapter.

Damon's pov

I watch Davina and Kol leave the Mikaelsons home one hour after coming back from a doctor's appointment which surprises me because the last thing I thought Kol would do is allow Davina to go to a normal doctor instead of a witch and actually go with her to the appointment, I suppose I understand why they're going to see a normal doctor for Davina's pregnancy as after Esther's little attack witches can't exactly be trusted with the information of Davina's pregnancy but I seriously thought Kol would've ditched her rather than go to the appointment with her as he doesn't come across as the fatherly type but maybe I was wrong about him as he seems very involved and happy about the pregnancy but I could also be wrong maybe this is his way of tricking us by getting my niece pregnant in an attempt to take advantage of us, what the hell am I thinking? It's not like Kol expected Davina to get pregnant as it's extremely rare and impossible for a vampire to procreate but my brother managed too but that was 1 odd out of a million and the chance for something like that to happen again would've been extra rare but here we are my only niece a product of a witch and a vampire is pregnant with an original vampires devil spawn I know I shouldn't say that because it's my niece who I adore but I just don't think I'll be able to handle being in the same room as the child let alone look at it knowing that it's the child of an enemy but maybe my feelings on the matter will change over time. I decide to stop spying on Davina and that pain in the ass she calls boyfriend and head home, on my way home other things start to plague my mind like how Davina could've died if Elena wasn't naive enough to believe Esther wanted to protect her, we all knew she was dodgy when we first met her but we ignored it for the sake of getting rid of the Mikaelsons but warning bells should've been going off in Elena's head the minute Esther brought up Davina's name and the fact she neglected to tell me and Stefan about it when she told us of Esther wanting to help kill her children makes me quite angry and disappointed that she would ever be that stupid and selfish I know she feels guilty about it especially now that she knows Davina's with child and so she should as even though I'm not currently fond of the unborn fetus growing inside her, Elena not only endangered someone very important to me and Stefan she also endangered someone very important to Davina and no one would ever forgive her if Esther succeeded in killing Davina but luckily thanks to me, Stefan's old lover Marnie who recently raised from the dead to protect her daughter and unborn grandchild and Marnie's sister Josie, Davina and her unborn child were saved, Marnie and Josie took it upon themselves to personally deal with Esther themselves and apparently they really made Esther suffer which really helped us alot on mine and Stefan's end, I had went with Stefan to negotiate with Bonnie and her mom Abby Bennett at first Bonnie refused because she was tired of being pushed around by vampires but when Stefan told her Esther was going to kill Davina she was scared for her and tried to stop the protection spell on Esther but Bonnie's mom was determined to keep going, she was eager to help get rid of the Mikaelsons even if it meant Davina dying so I took things into my own hands and force fed Abby my blood then I snapped her neck which dropped the protection, Bonnie was angry at me but I honestly had no choice her mom was willing to let Davina die and even though I want the Mikaelsons gone I would never let my niece or anyone I love die in order to get rid of my enemies, Bonnie calmed down abit more once she found out about Davina's pregnancy from Caroline who had been comforting her, Elena had stopped by at Bonnie's house to see her after she heard of what happened to her mom but Bonnie didn't answer the door Caroline did and she told her that Bonnie needs time because she suffers so much in order to protect her and Elena told Caroline of what Esther tried to do to Davina which Caroline of course already knew from Bonnie but Elena mentioned Davina's pregnancy to her after explaining how sorry and guilty she felt about unknowingly endangering Davina and her unborn baby and how awful she felt about Bonnie and her mom, Bonnie and Caroline like the rest of us were shocked by the surprising news but were also disgusted by Elena's actions because she put an innocent life in danger as well as their friends life.

I arrive back home after having a feed, I'm greeted by Bonnie and Caroline when I enter the house "what brings you two here?"I ask "we thought Davina would be with you" Bonnie says "she's with Kol they not long went out to Davina's first doctor appointment" I say Caroline "aww she's had her first check up on the baby" she says I nod "is the baby healthy?" Bonnie asks "I presume so from how happy they looked" I say with a snort "you don't seem happy about it I know none of really are but you seem to be taking her pregnancy harder than any of us" Bonnie "it's because she's my niece I care about her safety and well being Kol isn't good for her and this devil spawn she's carrying will ruin her" I say Caroline gasps "Damon how dare you say that! Just because you hate the Mikaelsons doesn't mean you can hate and insult the baby he or she is innocent has no idea of what the world is like or what it's family is like that baby doesn't deserve to be rejected and hated because of who it's father is and what family it's part of, you need to stop this otherwise if you keep being like this Davina will cut you out from her life which I know you don't want" she says "Caroline's right no matter how much you hate Kol and his siblings you can't hate that baby maybe this is a blessing in disguise" Bonnie says "blessing in disguise? She's carrying a Mikaelson" I say "the child doesn't choose​ their parents don't let your hatred of the Mikaelsons get the better of you and your judgement this baby is innocent and will get a fare shot at a wonderful happy life surrounded by people who love him or her" Caroline says before walking off "I think she seems too happy about this news" I say looking at Bonnie "she loves children mainly babies as she likes how innocent and pure they are I think she's already planning a baby shower for Davina and Kol" she says "oh boi" I say "take after Caroline be supportive and happy for Davina she needs it" she says before walking off to find Caroline, why are girls so sentimental when it comes to feelings and babies?

I hope you have enjoyed this chapter, I know it's a bit out of place in some parts, I didn't have much time to write and update, I know it also may seem a bit repetitive from a previous chapter but it's just explaining Damon's side of the story of what happened the night Esther attempted to kill her children along with Davina and her unborn child.
