12 week scan

Davina's pov

I was getting ready for my 12 week scan which I'm really excited for because I get to see how my baby's doing again now unfortunately Kol isn't coming to the appointment as something came up with his brothers and he's having to help them but no worries Rebekah's coming with me so I won't be going alone.

I turn to face the door when there's a knock "come in" I say the door opens revealing Kol bringing an instant smile to my face "Kol I thought you had left" I say he grins and steps in the room "we had but Nik forgot something so I decided to take advantage of it to see you before you left for the doctors" he says wrapping arms around my waist pulling me close "well aren't you sweet" I say leaning up on my tippy toes to kiss him he smiles into the kiss before pulling away "only for you my darling" he says kissing my forehead "I'm sorry you can't come with me today" I say with a little pout he chuckles slightly "me too I really wanted to come but you know how Nik is by now if things don't go his way and I don't want to risk getting on his bad side especially now" he says placing a hand on my stomach "you do what you need to do just as long as you don't miss the birth" I say with a smile "I'd never miss the birth of our child for anything you and our child are the most important people in my life" he says leaning down to kiss me I go to deepen the kiss but we're interrupted by the door being swung open, startled we jump apart and look to see Rebekah standing there "enough of that you already got her pregnant" she says "we were just kissing" I say "yes but you both know what kissing leads too and I don't want my niece or nephew to get scared by Kol playing around with his or her mother" she says Kol glares at her "it is actually good for pregnant women to have sex just so you know" he says "yeah well tough luck you ain't getting any right Davina?" He asks me "I don't know he could" I say Kol smirks "I bid you goodbye" he says giving me a kiss before leaving.

Me and Rebekah arrive at the hospital and I take a seat while Rebekah signs me in, her orders not mine. I'm called in by Dr Denis a few minutes later so we head into his room and take a seat, Dr Denis looks at Rebekah furrowing his eye brows "excuse me but who are you?" He asks "oh I'm her best friend but I'm also the father's sister I'm filling in for him today" she replies with a not so polite smile "I see and where is your boyfriend Davina?" He asks turning to look at me "he got called into work unexpectedly and he couldn't get out of it" I say "very well let's get on with the scan shall we" he says "well she didn't come to chat and have tea did she?" Rebekah says Dr Denis looks at her opening his mouth to say something but I quickly cut him off "ignore her she's a little cranky today" I say moving to the bed as he starts setting up the scan monitor machine"so how's the pregnancy been for you since I first saw you?" He asks as I get on the bed lifting up my shirt as he gets the gel out "not too bad I'm still having morning sickness but it's not too bad, I've been quite tired and I'm starting to have mood swings but they aren't too bad" I say Rebekah scoffs making me and Dr Denis look at her "oh please you started crying hysterically the other day when Elijah spilt his coffee all over Nik and you punched your uncle because he bought you orange juice instead of apple juice" she says "Rebekah" I say glaring at her "sorry" she says "do carry on" Dr Denis says "that's all really" I say he nods and squirts some gel on my stomach "those symptoms are quite common in the first trimester the sickness and tiredness should tone down once you reach 18 weeks but the mood swings will vary" he says as he gently presses the stick on my stomach and moves it around until he stops "your baby is doing perfectly well everything is growing nicely" he says "that's good" I say "I'm guessing you would like to see" he says "well obviously" I say he turns the screen to face me and I smile when I see my baby, I sense Rebekah moving so she can get a better view "can't believe my brother made that it seems too perfect" she says I roll my eyes at her but I don't move my gaze from the screen "how many pictures would you like?" Dr Denis asks taking the stick away from my stomach and turning the monitor off "two please" I say he nods handing me paper towels so I can wipe off the gel before exiting the room to to print off pictures.
