Kol's pov

It's been a month since Neveah was born meaning she's now a month old, she wakes up a lot during the night but only for feeds or a nappy change. She's amazing she smiles a lot when me and Davina are around and she has the cutest smile ever just like her mother.

It's been nearly a month since everyone went to confront Elena about what she did. After I left to stop myself from killing Elena according to the others Bonnie turned up and was angered to see everyone spewing hateful words at Elena and she wasn't thrilled at seeing Caroline slap Elena but once Caroline and Stefan explained to her why they were angry Bonnie became furious at Elena for putting her friend and an innocent child in danger. Apparently Bonnie hasn't spoken to Elena since then too disappointed in her to face her or be near her and Damon broke up with Elena only to get back together with her two weeks later saying he loved her regardless of what she did and can't live without her, Stefan was mad at him but understood a little bit and didn't push him on it. As for the rest of us neither of us have gone near Elena nor has she approached us she's apparently keeping her distance according to Damon but I still don't trust her and I have a reason not to trust her she nearly had my girlfriend and my daughter killed because of her own selfish desires.

"Look there's daddy" I hear Davina coo behind me I turn to see her popping her head in the room cradling Neveah in her arms who is trying to hold her head up but can't seeing as she's only a month old but it's adorable seeing her try "hey" I coo as Davina walks over to me rubbing Neveah's back gently "she's had her feed so now she's all yours while I head out with Rebekah and Caroline" Davina says bouncing on her feet "may I ask where you and the girls are heading?" I ask curiously "I'm going to the gym to work out since I'm now healed from giving birth I can work on my body I need to get rid of this baby weight" she says "okay not that you need too since you look perfect" I say she smiles at me as she gently rubs the back of Neveah's head "thank you but I've got to get in shape I won't be gone long two hours max I promise" she says handing Neveah to me who buries her head in the crook of my neck. I smile placing a kiss on her forehead "okay just call me when you get there and call me when you leave so I know you're safe" I say she nods leaning up on her tippy toes and kissing me on the cheek "I will don't you worry" she says rubbing my cheek with her thumb "go have fun" I say "trying to get rid of me are we?" She asks jokingly "of course not I'd prefer it if you stayed here with me" I say "I do too but I don't want to interrupt daddy and daughter time I'll get my time with you later" she says giving me a wink I smirk "is that a hint that I'm going to get lucky tonight?" I ask "maybe we'll just see how well you've been with Neveah and of course depending on how it goes at the gym" she says "hmm okay" I say she gives me a cheeky little smirk before turning on her heal and skipping away leaving me with an amused smile on my face "your mommy is gonna be the death of me but in a good way" I say looking down at Neveah who tries to lift her head at the sound of my voice but fails "don't worry baby girl you'll succeed one day" I coo kissing her forehead she makes a little noise in response before snuggling her head on my chest much like her mother does when she sleeps "you're also gonna be the death of me" I coo placing another kiss on her forehead, my sweet precious little girl.

"Peek a boo" I say moving my hands from my eyes with a gasp making Neveah giggle. We've been playing peek a boo for the past half hour and she's loving it "uh oh where's she gone?" I ponder as I place my hands back over my eyes "where's daddy's little girl gone?" I coo looking around with my hands covering my eyes before turning to face her and removing my hands "boo" I say "ah" she giggles putting her fist in her mouth "don't do that only I can" I say leaning down and placing kisses on her fist making her giggle. "Kol please don't eat your child" I hear Nik say from the doorway I snap my head up looking at him "what do you want Nik?" I ask annoyed he's interrupting my bonding time with my daughter "nothing I've just come to see my niece" he says I scoff at his words "oh please you haven't came near her since she was born" I say getting up from the bed and picking up Neveah, cradling her to my chest "I do apologise brother I've been busy looking for this hunter with the white oak stake" he says "that shouldn't stop you from seeing her even if it's for a few minutes" I say Nik looks down "I know and I'm sorry I guess it hasn't quite settled in for me that I'm an uncle I never do take well with new situations and being an uncle is one of those things" he says "well please don't be distant with her I don't want her to grow up thinking one of her uncle's hate her" I say "I won't in fact I was thinking maybe I could take Neveah off yours and Davina's hands for a few hours on Friday" he says I look at him suspiciously "why?" I ask "well like you said I've barely been near her since she was born I haven't held her yet and I'd like to spend time with my niece" he says I still give him a look of suspicion "I'm not going to hurt her if that's what you think she's my niece for crying out loud" he says "sorry brother I'm just cautious she's mine and Davina's baby if anything happens to her we'll never forgive ourselves" I say tightening my hold on Neveah slightly but not too tight "I understand if it makes you feel better Caroline will be with me and I know you and Davina trust her" he says "there's no hidden agenda is there?" I ask "no I just want to spend time with her and I know you and Davina are dying to get some alone time it will allow me to become the dotting uncle I want to be and for her to spend time with her favourite uncle" he says with a slight grin "well you've got some work cut out for you as right now Elijah's the favourite uncle" I say with a slight grin of my own Elijah's spent a bit of time with Nevdah here and there since she was born and she adores him I think it's mostly because of the suit but whatever. "I see well not for long" he says I shake my head at him "anyway I'll have to check with Davina first but I'm sure it will be fine" I say he nods "great well I'm off need to get back to finding this hunter" he says before vamp speeding out the room I roll my eyes at him "if you don't remember that's your mad uncle Nik I usually like to tease him so if you ever feel the need to play tricks on him when you're older please do but fill me in on them first so I can help" I say kissing Neveah's forehead she coos as she snuggles her head into my chest "such a little snuggle bunny aren't you?" I coo as she fists at my shirt I chuckle she's too cute "just like your mother" I say I notice her eyes flutter shut and her heart rate slows slightly indicating she's starting to fall asleep "I think it's nap time for you" I say going to put her in the crib but as I lay her down she whimpers grabbing on to my hands, her eyes water as they meet mine and her bottom lip quivers "not fare" I say picking her up holding her close to my chest, I chuckle as she snuggles her head in the crook of my neck yawning "a few more minutes then you're going in the crib missy" I say as I get on the bed lying myself down with Neveah lying securely on my chest with one arm wrapped around her tiny body to protect her from falling off "in the mean time I'll just lie down" I mutter as a yawn escapes my mouth I blink my eyes a few times to fight off sleep but I'm unsuccessful.

1 hr and a half later
No one's pov

Davina and Rebekah arrive back home after working out at the gym. Davina heads up to her and Kol's room only to stop in her tracks at the sight in front of her "Rebekah come here!" She whisper yelled the blonde Original vamp sped to the young witch "what is it?" Rebekah asked "look" Davina said pointing into the room. Rebekah peeks her head in the room and her heart softens at the sight of her brother sleeping with his baby daughter sleeping away on his chest "it's precious" Davina said feeling tears well up in her eyes. oh yes she still had hormones left over from the pregnancy which was normal her mom said they were known as baby blues "I have to take a picture" Rebekah said pulling out her phone along with Davina the two women hold up their phones, opening the camera and taking a picture of the sleeping father and daughter "Kol's going to kill me but I don't care this was too cute to pass up" Rebekah said before vamp speeding away Davina shook her head at the original sister before quietly stepping in the room, shutting the door behind her and heading over to her two favourite people in the world. Instead of removing Neveah and putting her in the crib Davina gets on the bed and snuggles up to Kol and Neveah and it's as if Neveah can sense her mother as she reaches out and grabs hold of her pinky finger holding it tightly, Davina smiled at the gesture and placed a kiss on Neveah's hand causing a little smile to spread across her face.

A sweet little chapter for you, some brother bonding sort of, some daddy daughter bonding and a little mommy daughter moment at the end there. There's a lot more to come so be on the look out
