Family day

Kol's pov

I gently put Neveah in her pram while Davina gets ready for our little family day out. "We're going out for a bit my little love just you, me and mommy" I say looking at Neveah who's wide awake as she lies in the pram kicking her legs about. "I'm ready" Davina announces coming down the stairs "you look beautiful love" I say giving her a kiss on the cheek when she nears me "thank you now let's go" Davina says handing me the diaper bag while she takes the pram and heads out the door as I strap the diaper bag over my shoulder.

Me and Davina are strolling through the park holding hands while she pushes the pram with one hand when Neveah suddenly let's out a squeal and Davina stops. "what's up my little princess?" I coo popping my head over the pram so she can see me and she giggles at me. "Do you want me to push you?" I coo Davina moves away so I can take hold of the pram and I start pushing it forward with a tiny bit of speed making her laugh and kick her legs up in the air. Davina moves to the side of the pram taking hold of Neveah's hand when she holds it up "where do you want to go sweetie? Do you want to look at the ducks" Davina coos as we come across a little pond where there's some ducks swimming about "bababba" Neveah babbles in response with a little smile on her face "okay baby come here and we'll go see the ducks" Davina coos gently taking her out the pram and holding her close to her chest "ah!" Neveah squeals bouncing slightly in Davina's arms as she looks in the direction of the ducks. "You really want to see those ducks don't you? Yeah you do" Davina coos at Neveah as she starts heading in the direction of the ducks and I follow after them making sure I'm right behind them.

I stand back abit and watch with a proud smile as Davina points at the ducks while Neveah coos at each one "look there's a little family" Davina says pointing at at a little herd of ducks that are swimming in a line. "The two at the front are mommy and daddy and the little ones behind them are the babies" Davina says as Neveah coos. I move closer to them wrapping my arms around Davina's waist from behind and placing my chin on her shoulder causing Neveah to turn her head to face me "hey princess" I coo a little pout forms on her face before a wide grin appears and she pokes me in the face. "Well that wasn't nice" I say with a fake cry causing her to giggle as she pokes me in the face again "I think she's got an obsession with your face" Davina says "yeah you're telling me not that I blame her I do have a very good looking face" I say cockily "don't gloat about it" Davina says pulling away from my hold and turning to face me "hey you love this face" I say grinning as I point to my face "yeah I do" she says blushing as I lean down to kiss her lips.

"ah!" Neveah squeals gaining our attention as we notice she's looking at something behind Davina "what is it princess?" I coo looking in the direction she's looking in to see what's grabbed her attention. Davina turns around "what did you see baby?" Davina asks gently Neveah holds up her arm and points forward at the pond with furrowed eyebrows so we walk forward and that's when my ears hear a quiet but frantic chirp coming from close by and I'm able to detect where it's coming from. I slowly walk forward as my eyes catch something moving by the pond, the chirping gets louder as I get nearer "what is it Kol?" Davina asks as I kneel down "it's a baby duck" I say gently picking up the little baby duck that's chirping frantically almost like it's crying "is it alright?" She asks walking over to me as I hold the little fragile thing in my hands "it's injured" I say noticing a cut on it's leg and it's missing a few feathers on both wings. "It must be the runt of the herd there's always a runt that doesn't usually survive because the parents end up neglecting it" Davina explains frowning as the poor thing tries to flap it's wings. "Ohh" Neveah coos eyeing the baby duck in my hands "he's weak and hurt princess" I say gently stroking the little fellas head which seems to calm him down. "We can't leave it here Kol it'll die" Davina says sadly "we'll take him home and heal him" I say "would your siblings be okay with that?" She asks "who cares it'll be an experience for Neveah and it's better than leaving the poor thing here to die" I say she nods "okay well let's head home and I'll sort out a little bed and some food for him" Davina says placing Neveah in the pram and gently taking the duck from me as I take hold of the pram.

We arrive home and Davina immediately grabs a small shoe box, pokes some holes in it and puts some blankets in it along with a small teddy before placing the duck inside. "Okay I'm going to feed Neveah then after I've fed her I'll feed the duck" Davina says taking Neveah out of the pram and sitting down on the couch "you're not going to breast feed the duck are you?" I ask "no but I can use my breast milk to feed him I just need my breast pump and a syringe" Davina explains pulling down her top exposing her boobs and bringing Neveah close to her chest and she immediately latches on to Davina's nipple. "I'll get the breast pump and syringe" I say leaving so Davina can feed Neveah in peace as I know she likes to be alone when she breast feeds as it's her bonding time with our daughter.

I reemerge into the living room with the breast pump and syringe and find Davina's still feeding Neavah who's suckling away. "Not finished?" I ask "no she's quite hungry today" Davina replies rubbing Neveah's back and all I can do is watch in admiration. Despite the fact she's been breast feeding for four months now I still find it incredible just watching my girlfriend bond with our baby girl so naturally, breast feeding is a beautiful thing and I'll never get tired of seeing her breast feed.

"Okay all done" Davina says when Neveah pulls away letting out a little burp as Davina sits her up gently and rubs her back. Once Davina's burped Neveah she hands her to me "okay princess I think it's time for a nap" I say kissing her cheek "just put her in the bassinet for now" Davina says I nod knowing she likes having Neveah nearby no matter what she's doing or where she is. I put Neveah in her bassinet placing a blanket over her so she's nice and warm, I give her a dummy which she puts in her mouth and she clutches her teddy which Elijah bought her.

I turn to Davina who is pumping breast milk into the syringe "you'd make a great nurse" I say earning a smile from her "how would I make a great nurse?" She asks pulling the pump off her breast once she decides there's enough milk in the syringe for the duck and pulls up her top. "Well you're sweet and stunningly sexy for one" I say giving her a little wink making her blush "you have a beautiful smile and you have the best type of remedy anyone could ask for" I continue "what remedy?" She asks "breast milk it's very nutritious and it's very tasty too" I say Davina looks at me with wide eyes. "How do you know breast milk is tasty I didn't think you'd remember having your mother's milk?" She asks making me chuckle "oh I don't remember my mother's but I know how your breast milk tastes and it's delicious" I say "how do you know? Have you started lickinh my bras again?" Davina asks causing me to bite back a grin as I recall how I went through a slight faze after she had Neveah where I licked two of her bras which she had taken off as her milk leaked abit and being the curious person I am wanted to know how her milk tasted. Unfortunately I didn't get much of a taste and I soon stopped after Rebekah caught me and took a picture. "No love" I say "then how do you know if my milk tastes nice?" She asks with furrowed eyebrows "when we last made out I was sucking and kissing your boobs and they started leaking a little bit so I got a very good taste" I say smirking as she goes bright red. "I what? I didn't know my boobs were leaking why didn't you say something?" She asks embarrassed "because it was hot as hell and it made me cum in my pants which made me embarrassed" I say "oh" she says biting her lower lip.

Davina changes the subject as she retreieves the duck from the shoe box "come on sweetie I got some food for you" Davina says softly gently placing the tip of the syringe in the ducks mouth when it opens it's mouth and she pulls the end slightly giving the duck some milk. The duck is calm in Davina's hold as she feeds him slowly and his eyes flutter shut "see even the duck likes your milk" I say cheekily "oh shut up" Davina says with a smile tugging at her lips. Once the syringe is empty Davina rubs the ducks front "there you go little guy" she says as she gently places him back in the shoe box where he snuggles up into the teddy. "Well your brothers will be in for a surprise when they see this guy" Davina says "we'll keep him in our room away from my brothers particularly Klaus" I say "they'll come across him at some point" she says I shrug my shoulders in response "ah well it's none of their business" I say gently taking the shoe box in hand "sleep tight little guy" I say before shutting the lid and don't worry there's holes in the box so he can breath and the lid is only placed down slightly. "Right well I think we should head upstairs before everyone gets back I need a nap" Davina says gently picking up Neveah who is fast asleep "come on then" I say motioning to the stairs I let her go in front as we head up I always have this fear of her falling so I always go behind her when she's going up the stairs.

Family day out was a little short but now they have a little fluffy friend and don't ask why it's a duck it just popped into my head of Kol and Davina taking in this abandoned and injured baby duck plus ducks are cute and funny.
