Baby's arrival

Kol's pov

I watch Davina from the corner of my eye as I drive, she's clutching her stomach and whimpering as she's hit by contractions "deep breaths love" I say she doesn't answer me she just places a hand on my thigh and squeezes gently as she takes a deep breath "it hurts" she says "I know don't worry we're almost home" I say "this shouldn't be happening it's too early" she whimpers "our baby just wants to meet us early" I say "it shouldn't happen like this" she says as I pull up outside my house, I get out the car, vamp speed round to her side, I open the door and I gently pick her up as she can't walk she's too weak and in pain, I kick my car door shut and vamp speed into the house taking Stefan, Marnie and Josie by surprise I had told them to come here after I told them I knew where Davina was "what's wrong with her?" Her mom asks "I'll explain later but she's in labour" I say heading for the stairs "what but she's not due for another few weeks" says Stefan looking worried "she doesn't look too good you should take her to a hospital" Josie says "she doesn't want to have the baby at the hospital" I say with that I vamp speed up to our room and I lay down on the bed "wait I'll get the bed all bloody" Davina says weakly as I fluff her pillows "I don't care about the bed getting bloody I care about you and our baby" I say placing a hand on her stomach she smiles weakly but it soon fades "ahh!" She yells in pain clutching her stomach just as Rebekah and Caroline burst through the door along with Nik, Elijah, Stefan and Marnie "she needs to take her underwear off" Caroline says gently propping up Davina's legs and spreading them slightly "alright you can't all be in here while she gives birth it'll be too stressful for her" Rebekah says "I'm her mother I'm staying" Marnie "fare enough" Rebekah replies "we'll be downstairs discussing what happened with Stefan and Josie" Nik says before flashing away with Elijah and Stefan in tow, Marnie shuts the door as Rebekah helps Davina sit up a bit "can you take your underwear off or do you need help?" Caroline asks "I'm gonna need help" she says her eyes closing slightly as she takes deep breaths, I stand by Davina and I push up her dress slightly, Rebekah gives me a pair of scissors so I can cut them off since it's easier.

I grab Davina's hand as Marnie stands in front of her open legs, Rebekah is stood next to Marnie and Caroline is holding Davina's hand "alright hunny you need to start pushing" Marnie says looking in between her legs Davina squeezes mine and Caroline's hands as she pushes "aghhh!" She screams arching her back as she pushes "very good hunny give us another push" Marnie says Davina pushes again but her grip on mine and Caroline's hand seem to have loosened a bit "Davina are you alright? You loosened your grip" I say squeezing her hand "I-i-i aghhh!" She screams as she's hit by another contraction and pushes again "K-Kol I-i-i feel pain" she stammers "where?" I ask concerned "everywhere" she whispers "Davina stay awake" I say as her eyes flutter shut and her face seems to be getting very pale "Davina hunny keep your eyes open" Marnie says Davina slowly opens her eyes and pushes again but it's a very weak push "Davina!" I yell worried as her eyes shut again, her face is now very pale and sweaty and her heart beat is very weak "Davina!" I yell when I get no answer I bite into my wrist and place it on her mouth and I feel her gently drink the blood "come on love wake up our child's not here yet" I say moving my wrist from her lips and kissing her forehead which seems to wake her, she grips my hand tight as she pushes again "aghhh!" She screams pushing again "that's it hunny give us another push" Marnie says "come on you can do it Davina" Rebekah says Davina pushes again "yes come on I can see the head" Marnie says looking between her legs "it's got your head Kol" Rebekah says looking between Davina's legs "Kol!" Nik yells from downstairs "what?!" I yell "we need your help!" He yells "Davina's giving birth wait a moment!" I yell "I'll go and see what they need help with" Caroline says looking at me I give her a thankful smile as she vamp speeds out the room, a few seconds later as Davina pushes I hear crashing coming from downstairs "I'll handle it" Rebekah says vamp speeding away leaving just me and Marnie with Davina "come on darling you're almost there just a few more pushes" I say kissing her forehead just then a loud bang comes from downstairs "I don't want to leave her but I better go see what's going on I have a bad feeling" Marnie says "go" I say "will you be okay with delivering the baby?" She asks "yes" I lie I have no idea how to deliver a baby "okay I'll be right back" she says getting up from her spot and leaving the room.

I move to sit in front of Davina's open legs and see a head "I see the head give me a nice push love" I say rubbing her legs "aghh!" She yells as she pushes "it hurts so bad" she whimpers "I know love but it's almost over I swear just one or two more big pushes and our baby will be here" I say smiling as our child is mere minutes from joining us in this world "aghhh!" She yells giving a big push "yes come on darling" I say looking up at her "water I need water" she says I quickly head over to the bedside table, grabbing the water bottle and handling it to her, I help her bring it to her lips as she's very weak "thank you" she mutters "no problem" I say kissing her forehead just then we hear a little whimper so I head back over to her legs and a smile appears on my face and my eyes tear up as I see our baby lying there "why hello there" I say gently picking the baby up "our baby" Davina says looking at me I look at her and walk to her "we have a daughter" I say teary eyed "it's a girl" she says as I lay our baby in her arms not caring that she's covered in blood and after birth "hey baby girl" she says kissing our daughters forehead "Kol get a soft towel and a blanket I don't want her to get cold" she says "right away love" I say going into the bathroom grabbing a towel and I grab a blanket from the wardrobe then I head back over to Davina, I grab the scissors and cut the umbilical cord before taking her in my arms and gently cleaning her with the towel, I then wrap her up in the blanket and hand her to Davina "she's beautiful" she says "just like her mommy" I say smiling as I sit next to Davina wrapping an arm around her shoulder "I knew we'd have a girl" she says "you did? How?" I ask "well whenever I pictured our baby in my head it was always a girl so I figured it might mean something" she says "what do you know you were right" I say smiling our daughter suddenly whimpers before a loud cry erupts from her lips "shh it's okay" Davina says "what a cry from such a tiny little girl" I say with a chuckle oh she's perfect her and her mother are both perfect.

It's a girl! Her name will be revealed along with a picture in the next chapter, there was a slight complication but it seemed to have been sorted, what do you think those crashes and bangs going on downstairs were? next few chapters will focus on Davina, Kol and their newborn daughter along with some new problems arising outside their relationship.
