Song Of The Chapter: The Heart Wants What It Wants- Selena Gomez
[NEXT DAY]
Anastasia's POV_
"Anastasia, why am I getting so many calls from so many people congratulating me on the baby you're going to have? Everyone's saying you're dating one of those pop singers and I have no idea how to respond to all of this non sense?" My mum has been calling me all day, but I was simply too scared to answer, knowing that I'm going to be asked such a question.
I already feel bad for not telling her, since me and her have always been so close, but now that she found out through other people, I guess I have no escape.
"Mum,..." I had no idea how to start my explanation, but I'm guessing she already figured out my next words just by my hesitation.
"Anastasia Mckellen, are you really pregnant?!" She seemed overwhelmingly mad, but I don't blame her, because I would be too if my daughter hid such news away from me.
"I wanted to tell you, but mum I-" I knew she would understand, but I was simply disappointed in myself for trusting Conor, and believing that at some point, he's going to get us out of this mess.
"Since when?!" She cut me off again, obviously worried by the thought.
"Around a month." I cringed, just by thinking about the expressions she might be pulling after my words.
God, why does everything have to be so hard for me to handle?
"You better have a good explanation for this because I swear to god I'm packing my things already!" She warned loudly.
Here's a fact about me, my parents' house is located in LA, where I was brought up and raised, till I moved when I got offered a scholarship and a job after one of our dancing competitions that was held here in London.
I was one of the lead dancers, and we may or may not have smashed the other teams with no effort whatsoever, so me and a few others won the scholarship straight away.
My parents were completely against the idea at first, but let's be real, becoming a professional dancer with a pay check like mine, and my two friends taking off with me, they couldn't really let me refuse such an offer.
That's why Conor's accent always intertains me... it's much softer and nicer than mine.
Which is something I usually find adorable, but right now, I hate everything about him.
Not only because he came here to accuse me of something I never did, but because he left without ending the conversation the way it was meant to be ended.
"I have an excellent explanation, Mum. You really don't have to come all the way here, what the f-" I usually avoid cussing when I'm on the phone with her, so I swallowed my words immediately.
"Wait until you father finds out about this, Anastasia. You're our only child, how could you keep such news a secret?!" She was getting angrier and angrier by the second.
"I'm not a kid anymore, for God's sake! Let me explain!" I exclaimed, trying to calm her down.
"Alright, go on then." She took a breath to calm down, leaving me some space for explanation.
"The guy I'm dating isn't exactly an ordinary guy." I spoke softly, trying to keep her as calm as she is right now. "So we sort of had to keep the news to ourselves till his management figures out a way to end this." I informed her.
It feels weird to say that after all this time.
I actually made it out of Conor's bed, and into his heart... well at least I think I did, because after the words I heard yesterday, there's nothing for sure anymore.
