Michael kept pacing back and forth after he sent the message, hoping Sadie would leave Jeremy alone. At some point, Michael was curled in a ball, rocking back and forth.

The tears just wouldn't stop coming. Michael knew he became too attached to Jeremy in the first place, maybe it wouldn't hurt as bad if he wasn't.

It'd be better if Michael hadn't pined for Jeremy for years. It would've been better if he just stopped himself before he fell too far, but it was way too late. In the first few weeks of their relationship, he was completely and utterly head over heels in love.

This feeling lasted all the way through the end of the relationship, and Michael was pretty sure it was mutual.

Michael was so in love with Jeremy that it hurt.

Now that he was unable to act upon his feelings though, everything hurt a thousand times worse.

Michael could've just laughed in Sadie's face and ran to Jeremy's house to protect him. After all, he wasn't sure of what she was capable of- not even Sadie herself knew.

Now Michael sat here, curled into a ball, having one of the worst panic attacks he's ever experienced.

He started hyperventilating, considering he could barely breathe through choked sobs. Tears flowed freely down his face, leaving slightly sticky tracks in their wake.

Michael kept his cries and panic quiet though, he really didn't want his parents to hear.

Especially after the last time he cried in front of them, but he let his mind wander away from that. It would've just made this moment so much worse.

Until he was able to trust Jeremy again after the halloween party, Michael just bottled up his emotions. There were times where he had complete mental breakdowns, similar to his current state, from bottling everything up.

Of course, this just added on to the stress Michael faced, as he kept these breakdowns to himself as well.

Now here he was again in the same boat. He couldn't rant to Jeremy about it, of course, so he kept most of his emotions inside.

This didn't work too well, especially since he continued to sob on his basement floor.

Michael didn't know how long this went on for, but at one point he all but passed out from exhaustion.

An hour later, Michael woke up in a panic. He felt like he needed to go talk to Jeremy and coax him that it wasn't his fault, but rather his own.

Michael grabbed a box of tissues for his use- just in case. He then proceeded to bolt to his car and drive off to Jeremy's house.

Michael couldn't imagine the pain Jeremy was in as much as it hurt him. Jeremy confessed everything to Michael, yet Michael was now unable to return the favor.

Jeremy was just broken up with out of nowhere, and he was a hundred times more heartbroken than when Christine cheated on him.

Michael just hoped Jeremy wouldn't do anything to put himself in harms way. If he did, Michael would never be able to forgive himself.

With this, he went as fast as he could without breaking the speed limit. Not too much later, Michael arrived and sprinted to the door.

He knocked quickly and loudly, to which he didn't receive a response.

Michael didn't miss a beat, however, and pulled out his spare key.

He opened the door in a hurry, to see a very heartbreaking sight.

Michael's first thought was that Jeremy was cheating, when he remembered that they weren't dating anymore.

After a split second, Michael noticed the tears spilling down Jeremy's face. He noticed how Jeremy's body was tense with fear.

Finally, he noticed how Jeremy wasn't kissing back.

He yelled out before rushing towards the two and pulling Sadie off of Jeremy.

"Oh, Michael. You shouldn't have done that. You'll be sorry."

Michael gulped. To say that he was terrified after that phrase spat at him was an understatement.

Sadie stomped away and slammed the door behind her, making both boys flinch.

Michael tried not to focus on what Sadie said to him. That wasn't necessary right this moment.

Michael processed what Sadie was doing to his Jeremy- no, not his. Jeremy was no longer Michael's.

Michael was entirely outraged.

He tried not to think about this at the moment and just hugged his friend- who was still shaking from the traumatizing experience.

"Y-you saved me, I d-don't know what s-she was going to do, b-but I have a good idea and-" Jeremy was racked with sobs for the second time today once he realized what could've happened.

"Shh, It's okay Jeremy, you're okay." Michael was rubbing Jeremy's back whilst they still hugged, which soothed Jeremy a little bit.

The two moved their cuddling session on the couch, watching random cartoons on tv.

At some point, Jeremy ran out of tears and eventually stopped crying.

Even Michael cried for a little bit, seeing how much Sadie damaged his friend.

Speaking of, Jeremy looked at Michael, hesitating as he spoke.

"Michael? Uh... W-why did you br-break up with m-me?"

Jeremy sniffed, physically unable to cry anymore.

This was the last thing Michael wanted to talk about. In fact, he hoped it wouldn't come up in conversation after the days previous events, but here he was now.

"I'd rather not tell you, I'm sorry." Michael attempted to swallow the lump in his throat and was forcing his tears back with all of his might.

"M-Michael, please?" Jeremy wanted to know what he did wrong, if they couldn't work it out, at least he'd know.

"No, Jeremy," Michael said this slightly coldly, causing Jeremy to shiver.

Now, Jeremy was raising his voice. "I deserve to know!" He was pacing now, he couldn't help but to let the anger course through him.

"I can't!" Michael was yelling equally as loud. Jeremy opened his mouth to speak again, but Michael was long gone.

It was then, Jeremy's heart broke for the third time that day.
