Having just spent her first waking hour in a meeting with Mo Yuan and Die Feng, Bai Qian was fuming.  She may be the junior of Kunlun Mountain, but she was also the Queen of Qiu and to be forced to take a chaperone to the Eastern Sea Banquet the following day was ridiculous.  And she told them so.

"I am representing Qing Qiu as its Queen, not the Seventeenth Disciple of Kunlun Mountain." her harsh voice taking on the regal tone she used on her own subjects and laced with whipping anger.  "I do not need a chaperone, and I absolutely will not accept one." she stated flatly, her eyes openly challenging them.

"Seventeenth!  Have you forgotten where you are?" Die Feng glared at her.

"And have you forgotten your rank?" she lashed him, her voice dangerously rising as her whole demeanor changed before their eyes.

It was the first time Mo Yuan and Die Feng had seen this side of her.  They were now seeing first hand the might of the Fox Clans Queen, and Die Feng was wilting under her intense glare.

She was well known for the way she managed Qing Qiu with an upper hand, and her tight reign on her people was the sole reason why her clan prospered, being the most wealthiest of the clans.  And that didn't happen being a junior disciple of Kunlun Mountain.  When it came to Qing Qiu, she ruled all decisions, as a Queen.  And it would be as a Queen that she would attend this banquet.  Alone.

"Bai Qian." It was the first time Mo Yuan had addressed her formally.  "This will be your first venture out alone.  You are unknown to the wider world, and it is with your best interests in mind, that I insist you take a chaperone." he berated her firmly, his voice also edged in anger.

Turning her flashing glare on him, she struck out.  "Shifu. With respect, I insist you do not interfere.  This conversation is now closed." she bit back between clenched teeth, before turning and storming out of the room.

"Now you listen......" Mo Yuan raised his hand to stop Die Feng from saying any more.  "Keep an eye on her." was all he said, before dismissing him.

So that was the Queen of Qing Qiu, he thought.  Her Regal and Stately demeanor was impressive, and if he hadnt seen it for himself, he would have found it difficult to imagine, considering she had always only ever been his little Seventeenth.

Smiling softly to himself, he chuckled softly.  This was a Bai Qian he liked.  Very much.

The Banquet was to celebrate the first month of the East Seas Kings son, and Bai Qian had tried every excuse to get out of going, in the end, it was Mi Gu who informed her, if it hadnt been for the Kings  sister, she would not be here.  His sister was a midwife, and her mothers pregnancy had been rife with complications.  If not for her expertise, Bai Qian would have died.  Qing Qiu owed them a dept, and she would have to repay it.

Sighing, she prepared herself to leave Kunlun Mountain.  It would only be for 2 days, and she would return on the 3rd day to begin her punishment.  Deciding she would make the event as boring as possible and having already given her farewells to her seniors, she went in search of Mo Yuan.

Finding him in his study, reading the mounting scrolls that poured in daily, she knocked on the door softly.

Turning, his heart skipped a beat.  She was wearing a teal green layered dress, with peach pink tassels.  Her hair was simple, but elegantly pinned at the top of her head, the rest of her hair flowed freely about her.  She was stunningly beautiful and looking every bit the Queen that Mo Yuan almost jumped at the sight of her.

Composing himself, he motioned her to enter as he stood smiling at her.  Taking her hand, he led her to the window seating and sat her down, taking a seat next to her.
