Ye Hua was preparing to leave for the Eastern Sea Banquet.  He hated attending these kinds of functions. Making small talk and smiling with other clan leaders annoyed him, but worse was their constant attempts to push their unmarried daughters into his arms.  He always left angry, and he knew this one would be no different.  Several clan leaders would be there, no doubt with their sniveling starry eyed daughters in tow.

Not that he didnt like women.  He'd had his share over the years, he was a man after all, but the thought of their constant need for attention, and mindless drivel gave him a headache.  Sex was a necessity, and one he took care of privately, leaving them heart broken when he had finished.

"Lian Song, tell me again why I have to go!" he groaned at his 2nd uncle.

Sighing at his nephew, for the umpteenth time that day he looked at him impatiently.

"Ye Hua, I have already told you.  It is your duty to meet and greet the realms leaders and strengthen our bonds with them.  You will be the Heavenly Lord one day, and banquets like this one, will give you wider recognition.  It is a perfect opportunity to listen and learn from them."

Moving across to the other side of the chamber to collect the tea tray Nai Nai had left for them, he carried it back to his writing table.

"And." his uncle winked at him.  "I heard your betrothed will be there." he sniggered at him.  He too had heard the many unflattering remarks about Qing Qius Queen.

Ye Hua wasn't interested, instead he picked up yet another scroll, his mind returning instantly back to work.  Shutting his uncles constant babble out, had been a daily habit for Ye Hua since he was boy.  He had learned the fine of art of ignorance while maintaining an interested expression, and right now he was doing just that.

Leaning over the scroll he was working on, Ye Hua jumped at the sudden intrusion as his uncles face came into view.  "Ye Hua, did you hear me?"

"Uncle, the whole Palace can hear you." he answered sarcastically, turning back to his scroll.

Continuing where he left off, Lian Songs eyes lit up.  "Bai Qian is not one to be reckoned with"  he cautioned him.  "She did seal Qing Cang back in the Bell of East Emperor, and her fame is known throughout the entire realms.  To have a chance to finally meet her, is fortunate for you, considering you have been engaged to her for far too long." he added thoughtfully.

Ye Hua thought about Qing Qius Queen Bai Qian and the stories he too had heard.   Her sealing Qing Cang back in the bell struck him as reckless and negligent.  As Qing Qius Queen, she had no regard for her own life, and even less for her own people, and such actions angered him.  She was thoughtless towards their needs, and he really didn't care to associate with such people.

Realizing his uncle wasn't going to leave him alone, he stood, and dressed himself, finishing his ensemble with his black robe, emblazoned with his dragon insignia, delicately embroidered down the center.  The banquet would begin later in the day, but it would take time to travel there, he may as well leave now and get it over with, he thought.

Leaving his chamber, and his his uncle in mid sentence, Ye Hua left for the East Sea Palace.

Bai Qian was still trying to catch her breath when Mo Yuan leaned over her to take her lips again.

"Shifu... I can't." she panted heavily in alarm as she felt him harden against her yet again.

They had made love all morning, and she was still starry eyed with giddiness.

Mo Yuan was not letting her off lightly.   Not only had she used her magic against him, but she had also failed to recognize him from the night before.  And by the time he was finished with her, she would never forget him again.
