Mo Yuan, Bai Qian, Ye Hua

Part 29

Returning to the main den with Mo Yuan, Bai Qian instantly ran to her mother and held her tightly.  "Im so sorry Mother." she cried up at her.  She knew her actions with Qing Cang had hurt her mother deeply.   In fact, it would continue to hurt her as word had spread quickly though out the realms and the gossip started immediately as the story grew more wilder with each retelling.

Mo Yuan too had talked to her about it.  Though he understood her reasoning and her intentions, he had chided her gently, explaining the repercussions it would have on her seniors who all witnessed it, and that she should expect some back lash from it, though he kept back his own feelings on the matter.  Truthfully, he was angry, but as she was pregnant and carrying his brother, he could not chide her anymore than he had already done.  He had to let it go, and hope the world would also leave her be with it. 

She had apologized profusely, knowing that he too was hurt by her actions.  But as he explained with much laughter in his eyes, he also knew of her inability to see the consequences of anything she did, and it was precisely that reason why he fell in love with her in the first place.  Her wild untamed and troublesome personality that completely clashed with his own, drew her to him like a moth to a flame.  Two completely different elements, yet they fit like a glove.

Now sitting with her family, it was decided they would collect Bai Zhi in the morning, it was too late now, and everyone was tired, preferring instead to rest up and allow Bai Qian the extra rest she would need.  Tomorrow would be a big day for them all.

Bai Qian had received Ye Huas missive the following morning.  She was pleasantly surprised to see Tian Shu, Ye Huas star Lord, and she greeted him warmly.  Though she had only met him a couple of times, she had found him likable.

"Qian Qian,  go and meet him."  Mo Yuan tried to persuade her. With her confirmation to marry him, his irrational jealousy of Ye Hua died with it.  Instead, he felt overwhelming sadness for his brother.  His only wish had been happiness for Ye Hua, and he truly hoped he would one day find it.  

The last thing she wanted to do was see him.  Not only was she feeling unwell, but it was a meeting she had tried to put off the last time she had seen him.  The hope in his eyes had hurt, but she knew, the sooner she got this meeting out of the way, the sooner she could release him completely and move on with her life.  A life with Mo Yuan.

"Alright, but it will hurt him," she warned.  Mo Yuan had already told her of his desire to connect with him, she could only hope that what she had to say, would not impede on their possible union.  The last thing she wanted was the brothers to fight over her, or in the end hate each other because of her.  

Giving Mo Yuan a quick kiss, and a promise to return immediately once she was done, she left for the The Celestial Palace with Ye Huas star lord.

Bai Qian and Ye Hua sat by the Celestials Lotus pond facing each other. It was best for the both of them, that they not be  alone together in his chamber, and going by the hopeful look in his eyes, she knew she would leave hurting him, but unless she made it absolutely clear they had no future together, he would never let her go and move on with his own life.

"Qian Qian, you say you are marrying Mo Yuan, but I know, when were in the Mortal Realm, you had felt love for me, you were happy, we were happy. Why then are you marrying him. Is it because I look like him that you began to turn towards me?" Ye Hua asked her, his anger slowly rising as he felt himself losing her.

Bai Qian looked at him sadly, she really didn't want to hurt him, but she had to end this and if it meant he would hate her for life, then sadly, that was the way it would have to be.
