War.  Part 1.

Suddenly the skies darkened and streaks of hell fire tore through the Heavens as Di Jun and his enormous army came into view.  From land and air, his army lacerated a savage course as they rushed forward to take up position as determined by Di Jun.

Qing Cang had yet to completely break free, but his armies immediately attacked not allowing the Celestials any time to take up their positions, which instantly saw Di Juns armies scatter in confusion as the booming and crackling of hell fire exploded around them and the roar of the Demon Clans dragons took to the air above them, their fiery bellowing roars breaking the last of the blue from the skies as they shattered the war cries of their generals pushing their men forward.

Immediately throwing up an enormous barrier, that was reinforced by his foot soldiers, Di Jun ordered his men into their aerial formations as devised by Mo Yuan and his land armies to immediately take up their places.  Though the formations were not suitable for the this war, they were all Di Jun had to work with at such short notice, but they would do regardless.

Not once did Di Jun falter, as he mounted his pure white horse, its nostrils flaring at the cacophony of thunderous roaring and the screeching  of man and beast that filled the dark air, split only by the hell fire that obliterated their darkened surrounds with its vehement lashing strikes.

Di Jun held no weaponry, he didn't need one.  His presence was more than enough to put real fear into their enemy, and embolden his own armies as he opened his mouth and unleashed a sound so monstrous, so terrifying, so hideously colossal, that the earth beneath them all, rose up and fell with a resounding crash from the shock wave that the force of his war cry exuded.

Immediately the 8 formations opened fire with their lightening rods, sending enormous bursts of crackling thunderous bolts of deadly pulses directly into the enemies aerial armies who returned their own directly back at them, the energy clashing in a deafening ear-splitting shatter, that penetrated the very breath, as each mans own war cries died in the assault against their senses.

Breaking through their barrier, the Celestials aerial armies, assaulted theirs from every angle smashing their defenses as their pulsating energy vibrated violently around them.  The primal barbaric sounds broke through the thundering hell fire, as men fell from the skies, the sickly sweet stench of their blood assaulting the land as torn bodies landed with a sickening thud.

Immediately Di Jun brought down his hand and threw out an almighty strike directly into the water, splitting the river into two, forcing the sides of the water up and opening a path for his generals to strive their foot soldiers forward. And as his men surged forward, the river beasts emerged, joining the melee of clashing armies, their terrifying teeth ripping into every and all that they could snatch, as the screams and thunderous clashing of Qing Cangs hell fire continued to rip about them all.

Swords burst out their energies, as man and beast fell, and black blood surged beneath the feet of the stampeding warriors, their own spilling from their mouths, as arrows took the last of their breath and swords slashed the cries from their severed throats.

Earth and air awakened thoroughly to the furious onslaught as Zhi Lan and Chang Song held back their armies for the second onslaught.  Both disciples raging and ready as the blood lust roared through their veins waiting for Di Jun to give the order to charge.
