Mo Yuan, Bai Qian, Ye Hua

Part 17

Die Feng 

Mo Yuan immediately raced Die Feng to the infirmary issuing orders to Zhi Lan to immediately fetch the West King having already arrived with his entourage. There was no time to write a missive,  "Inform him only that Die Feng has been hurt.  You are not to tell him anything else." he warned.  The last thing he wanted, was Die Fengs father taking his clan directly to the Celestial Palace, without the back up he would need.  Though the West Sea clan was formidable, it was no match for the Celestial tribe on its own.  Wasting no time, he worked tirelessly to save his first seniors life as he waited for his fathers arrival.

Lucky for Die Feng, Mo Yuan knew exactly how to remove the barbs without causing any more damage than was already done.  Instructing Chang Song in the removal process, they both worked quickly to remove them.  Piercing each barb with a pin like instrument through the center of the stem, the double barbs automatically closed at the intrusion, the barb could then be pulled out easily.  Unlucky for Die Feng, each barb was fully grown, so the damage each caused was deep.

Continuing to work swiftly, he noticed Bai Qian still in her fox form staring straight at them, her fox eyes wide in horror as she took in what was happening.  He immediately waved a hand over her and put her back to sleep.  

The return of Die Feng was a direct warning to Kunlun Mountains War God and one he would meet head on.  For the Celestial Tribe to go to such extreme lengths was despicable and unforgivable.  

Though,  their treatment of Die Feng surprised him.  The boy had a history of friendship with the Celestial Palace, hence why he was chosen to deliver his final missive.  Ye Hua was his closest friend there,  he couldn't help but wonder what role he had played in this vicious assault.  

Regardless, the Celestial tribe would pay dearly, but right now he had much more pressing matters to deal with as they turned his body over to relieve him of the barbs embedded in his back immediately facing the Celestial Tribes missive addressed to Bai Qian.  It had been nailed to his spine.

Using his own magic to remove it,  Chang Song automatically healed the wound with his own energy.  Mo Yuans eyes darkened considerably and his hands shook with rage as he continued to work, but his time would come, and it would be deadly when it did.

 He had also read the missive which he immediately passed to Bai Qians mother who was also helping with bandages at the ready. The Celestial tribe was holding Mi Gu having taken him by surprise when their soldiers stormed Qing Qiu in search of her brother Bai Yi.  Their demands were simple.  A straight swap for Bai Qian, knowing how important the tree sprite was to the fox clan.  

Mo Yuan didn't even give their missive a second thought, there was nothing to think about, they would not be getting her, end of story.  And unknown to Mo Yuan, the Celestial Tribe lost even more clan support when several leaders who had witnessed Die Fengs torture of their ally's son, turned their backs.

It was then that the West Seas King entered.

Mo Yuan didn't inform the West Seas King of the missive or the way it had been delivered, knowing the information would have sent his already raging temper over the edge.  Instead he continued to work quickly on removing the barbs as his father held his head in hands and wept over him and Mo Yuans soft voice talked to him about the events that led to the tragic circumstances his son found himself in.

Bai Qian who was still in the room, had been removed the instant he arrived by her mother, the last thing he wanted was for her to hear what they were about to discuss.

Having already been informed of the increase in clan support for the West King, he in turn informed Mo Yuan, that his army had grown significantly.  Between them, they discussed thoroughly what The King wanted to do, and what Mo Yuan felt was the sensible thing to do.
