Epilogue Part 2. Ye Hua
3500 years later.
"Ye Hua."........................ "YE HUA" .................................. "YE HUA"
Stumbling about on the dais, Ye Hua returned himself back to Human form. Taking the bronze mirror from his sleeve pocket, he looked into it. "Uncle, what is it?" he asked annoyed, not realizing how long he had been away.
"Ye Hua, Finally! Do you realize how long we have been trying to contact you?" His uncles whining came through at him.
Not caring at all how long they had been trying to contact him, he looked about the cave, when his sight fell upon Di Jun. His mouth dropped and his eyes widened considerably. "Uhhh...... how long have I been gone?" he asked, the shock in his voice evident as he stared straight ahead.
"3500 years Ye Hua, there's trouble, and you need to come home now!" his uncle cried, the importance of his statement crystal clear, as the shaky tone in his voice came through.
"3500 years?" he whispered softly to himself. "What's happening?" he asked. Then realizing that Di Jun too was waking, he quickly looked back into the mirror. "I'll be home soon." he added, before closing down the mirror and cutting his uncle off in mid sentence. Putting the mirror back in his sleeve pocket he rose as Di Juns barrier suddenly dispersed.
Standing, Ye Hua couldn't believe what he was looking at. The last time he saw Di Juns Dragon form, he barely fit the dais, but now, he had completely over grown the dais, and was spilling out into the main cave, almost touching his own. His Dragon form was enormous and not only that, the energy around him had changed from Magenta to a rich and vibrant Amaranth Purple. And as he looked on, Di Jun changed back to his human form before his eyes.
If he thought he was shocked a second ago, he was completely and utterly mindless now. Di Jun was now a fully grown adult. The child he remembered from just a short time ago, had evolved considerably. He was his original height, and his hair was the same length, but there were subtle differences to the rest of him.
His white hair had kept the gold tinge that streaked though it when he moved, as if it were a separate part of his hair, then on closer inspection, he realized it was. His hair was actually white, but the gold streaking through it, was his own inner dragon light that was moving about his hair at will. His eyes too had changed, the azure blue was more prominent, though this too would change with his mood, with the crystal clear being his color of anger, and the azure blue would darken with his feelings of love. His face was almost identical, but for some reason, that Ye Hua couldn't quite decipher, Di Jun not only looked like a young man, he also looked ancient. It must the his eyes, he thought to himself, they gave his whole face a feeling of innocence, yet also a deep knowing.
Greeting him, Di Jun moved closer. "Ye Hua, it seems as if seclusion has done wonders, you look well." then smiling broadly, Ye Hua almost fell off his dais.
"Uhhh, ....... Di Jun?" he answered, having no idea what to say to him, having been rendered near speechless by his smile, which lit up his whole face.
"How?" he stammered in disbelief.
"Sit down Ye Hua." Di Jun told him as he entered Ye Huas dais. Then sitting down himself, he waited until Ye Hua too was sitting. Once seated, Di Jun explained how he was able to return, leaving out no details, nor did he sugar the details, his account of his resurrection was thorough and concise, leaving Ye Hua in no doubt of the loss he had suffered nor the price he had paid for Di Juns resurrection. It was brutal but honest.
And as Ye Hua listened, his heart broke for the child he never got to see, that he would never father, because of a life debt he never asked for, and he angered.
