Epilogue. Part 1.
3 Years later.
Bai Qian was in labour and several Qing Qiu girls had arrived to assist her Mother, Feng Jiu and Mo Yuan, who once again refused to leave the birthing process. Her disciple brothers had all returned to Kunlun Mountain and were now waiting impatiently outside for the new addition to their expanded family along with Bai Zhen,.
Also there was Bai Zhi and Zhe Yan, who had emerged from seclusion which they had returned to after the wedding. Only this time, the wine had been brought out to dull their senses to the screams that were coming from the chamber.
Pacing back and forth, Bai Zhi and Bai Zhen both clenched their fists tightly at their sides, wanting desperately to take her pain as the screams grew louder and more heart breaking with each passing hour, and no amount of wine that Zhe Yan gave them, would still their wildly beating hearts.
Mo Yuans thoughts took him back to the day Di Jun was resurrected, and the birthing process then, was just as painful as it was now, as he watched his beautiful wife cry out from the intense pain that intermittently raked her body. Except this time, the baby would be theirs and the excitement was building as he gently stroked her hair and whispered loving words of encouragement and strength as each wave of pain grew closer together.
Her head was resting on Mo Yuans lap as he waited for her mother to give the order to push, and going by how fast the girls were moving now, it seemed to be close. Excited he lifted her head gently off his lap and took his place between her legs as the anticipation grew.
Pushing down gently on her stomach, her mother felt for the babys position and happy with where it was sitting, she gave the order for Qian Qian to push.
Feng Jiu immediately moved to sit by her head, and with a damp cloth she kept her aunts head cool as each wave of pain raked through her body. Once again Mo Yuan was there to see the miracle of birth but this time, the child was his own.
"Push Qian Qian." her mother encouraged her, which she did, her screams now growing in strength as the pain intensified, then with one final push and an enormous heartbreaking scream, the baby was born. Amid a stream of baby wails and congratulatory bows and endearments, Bai Qians face finally relaxed.
Rushing to the door, Feng Jiu passed on the good news to her Grandfather who promptly fell to his knees as the tension finally lifted. The arrival of his new grandchild brought loud cheers and whooping from her seniors which carried back into the chamber. Dragging his father to his feet with a mile wide smile, Bai Zhen led them all back to the main hall to celebrate.
It was when they left the chambers entrance that they all became aware of the 88 rainbow birds that had suddenly appeared above Kunlun Mountain as the skies lit up in an amazing display of greens, purples, pinks and yellows and every shade in between.

Quickly gathering the child into his arms, her mother cut the cord, and the stub was sealed. Looking down at his child for the first time Mo Yuan could not hold back his tears and nor did he care who saw them as he took in the beauty of his first born. A son. His hair was thick and black and his eyes large and doe like which he obviously took from his mother, though the delicate defined jawbone came from his father. He would, without a doubt grow to be exceptionally handsome, even outstripping his father. Mo Yuan could not speak through the thick lump that had formed in his throat, as he took in the beautiful sight of their child that looked like the both of them.
Allowing time with his son, Bai Empress, helped to clean and prepare Bai Qian while Feng Jiu, now kneeling behind Mo Yuan, immediately threw her arms about his shoulders and her head over the top to look at the new baby, who by now was laid on Mo Yuans lap as he checked him over. Turning the child onto his stomach she suddenly gasped. "Uncle Mo Yuan look." she whispered as she pointed to a small marking at the base of his spine.
