Mo Yuan, Bai Qian, Ye Hua

Part 15

Once again Mo Yuan returned to Kunlun Mountain, but instead of heading to his meditation cave he headed straight for his study. Without The Fox King or Zhe Yan to stop Ye Hua, he could do nothing but allow the trial to continue, though he left Die Feng at the den to oversee her care and to report back immediately should her condition worsen with Bai Zhen and Feng Jiu and the Celestial Tribes Medicine King there to assist.

Di Jun made it very clear to him, that if he didn't step back and leave Ye Hua to complete his marriage arrangement, the Celestial Tribe would be forced to declare war on Kunlun Mountain, his disciples included. It was a war, he was not prepared to put them through, but he would if it meant losing her as would his disciples who were as much family to each other as she was to her birth family, they too would risk all for her, she was after all a Kunlun Mountain Disciple also.

Though they were all trained generals, they were no match for the might of the Celestial Tribes armies. Kunlun Mountain would have to take this one on the chin for now, and wait out the 2 weeks as best as they could, as his disciples angered quietly among themselves. Only three of his disciples belonged to a clan, the rest were all orphans or strays Mo Yuan had picked up and raised. Zhi Lan being one of them.

"Die Feng has given his word, that the minute she awakens, he will forcefully remove her from Qing Qiu and return her to Kunlun Mountain." he told his seniors, having heard Master mention it to Chang Song. "It was his final instruction to Die Feng, before he returned." he added.

Fifth senior looked at Zhi Lan in wonder. "Then I suggest we prepare ourselves, if she wakens within the next two weeks, we will need to be ready for the consequences." he stated, excited that a battle was looming, completely aware of what it would actually mean for all of them.

Nodding their heads in agreement, they all set off secretly for the lower valleys to train.

In his study, Mo Yuan was in deep discussion with Chang Song, he quickly wrote letters that were to be delivered immediately, with the instruction he was not to leave without an immediate answer, and he was to return immediately once he was done.

Ye Hua had Qian Qian moved back into her own chamber once Mi Gu and Feng Jiu had cleaned up the mess and restored order to her furnishings.

Not once did he leave her side, refusing all assistance from Feng Jiu and Die Feng, who he immediately grew suspicious of, even though they had once been friends, instead taking on a protective stance, and allowing only the Medicine King entry to her chamber. Not even her own brother could get more than a few minutes at a time with her as Ye Hua took over the whole Fox Den.

Fed up, Bai Zhen left Qing Qiu. That evening he returned with second brother, to take back the den and Xiao Wus care. As the oldest sibling left to rule in his fathers absence, he didn't take too kindly Ye Huas intrusion, forcing him out of her chamber and allowing Die Feng and her brother entry to administer their own medication and care.

Bai Yi was as aggressive and as temperamental as Ye Hua, and when threatened, he was ruthless.  And having been filled in on what had happened the past few days in Qing Qiu, his temper was roaring by the time he arrived. And it was precisely why he wasn't informed earlier as he set about the den like a raging tornado. His rage aimed directly at Ye Hua as he threw him against the main dens wall and slammed his fist straight into his face!

If not for Mi Gu, Die Feng and the Medicine King, he would have killed Ye Hua on the spot as they dragged Bai Yi off him. In the end they came to an uneasy truce, Ye Hua could continue his marriage arrangement, but he could not prevent her own family from entering her chamber and overseeing her care.
