Chapter 22

Spencer

"She's such a slut" a girl whispers as Alison, Cassidy, Cassandra, Emma, Lucy and I walk outside to the lunch tables

"Everyone thought she was the good girl. They were so wrong"

"She's just one of Toby's toys" another adds

"Ignore them" the girls tell me as we sit down.

Everyone stares at me.

It's been like this for the whole week and it's so annoying.

Toby has been distant from me in public because of the rumours when really I wish he was with me.

With the pregnancy and everything I'm even more emotional and I just need him by my side.

"Hey" Toby says as he approaches us.

Everyone around us quiets down and stares

"Hey" we all respond as he sits

"How are you?" He asks me

"Alright" I shrug

"He actually cares about the slut?" Kim disgust clear in her voice.

I slouch my shoulders.

"Don't you all have something better to do?" Toby yells

"What could be better than watching the bad boy talking to the school slut?" The same blonde laughs and others laugh along

"You're one to talk"

"Don't talk to her like that" a guy, Brendon interjects

"I'll talk to her however the fuck I want to talk to her" Toby spits as he progresses towards the guy

"Toby no" I say as I get off the bench.

I squeeze myself between the two of them before they have the chance to attack.

"Move out of the way" Toby says through gritted teeth.

"No. Let's just go for a walk"

"Yea, listen to your toy over here"Brendon smirks

"Oh just shut up!" I yell at him

"She talks" he chuckles "so while you're on the naughty train think we can meet up later?" He smirks and my blood boils

Seconds later Toby's fist collides with his face.

"Toby!" I gasp

"Come on" he says sternly as he pulls me out of the lunch area. The group following behind us.

"What were you thinking?"

"I was thinking that guys an ass"

"What happens when he tells?"

"He won't"

"How do you know?"

"Because I just know!" He yells at me and I stand there, shocked

"You....,you should eat...ill see you later" he mumbles and walks off.

I sit on the step and think back to what Cassidy told me the other day

"There's a dark side of Toby. He gets to this place where he drinks and smokes up and no matter who you are, you can't help him. Even if he loves you he tosses you away like you're nothing. The only thing that can bring him back is himself, and he usually doesn't snap out of it for a while. Don't take it personal"

She also told me he hasn't done it in a year, but I think he's starting again.

I guess he's feeling stressed, I know I am too. I just wished he would talk to me about it rather then lash out.

I don't want to confront him, hopefully he just snaps out of it soon.

Kinda have writers block.... I know where I want the story to go, I just don't know how to get it there.
