"What are you doing here?" Melissa asks Toby "and get your arm off of her"

I sit up, and Toby moves his arm

"Melissa relax, Toby came because his sister was here and he needed help studying and then he stayed for a movie. I thought it was rude to just kick him out. And those three were already on that couch so he had to sit here" i half lie

"Well one, it's not rude to kick out some one who isn't invited but i know your kind so you do that, but you didn't have to cuddle with him"

"Melissa, you know i always lean on someone during movies, it's not like we were making out" i defend

"It's just as bad. Get out before my father comes home!" Melissa yells

"Maybe we should all go" Lucy mumbles

"No. You aren't done the movie. Stay, I'll leave" Toby mumbles.

It's the first time I never seen him fight back.

Is he scared of Melissa?

"Good. When i come downstairs i want you gone!" Melissa snorts as she walks to her room

"I'm sorry" i say to Toby as i walk him out.

"Don't worry about it" he shrugs "go finish your movie" he says as he walks out.

The whole night i find myself thinking of him, even after the girls leave. His scent still on me.

"You really shouldn't have brought him here" Melissa says as she comes in my room after dinner

"I'm sorry. I'm just trying to give him a chance"

"Your naive Spencer. You think he's worth a chance but he's not!" Melissa tells me

"Everyone is worth a second chance Melissa, and he's not as bad as he used to be"

"You wouldn't know. You don't know him"

"I know him more then you do"

"Really? she cocks an eyebrow "how so"

"He's closer to my age and hangs out with Cassidy more then he does April and Megan. Plus Cassidyavtually likes him so he shows a different side to the people who tolerate him. He's an ass to you, Megan and April because you guys belittle him."

" we have our reasons spencer. And the fact that you've seen a small side of him that doesn't cause harm Doesn't mean anything. I've seen what he does. I've been around spencer. Like i said your naive. I'm right when i'm right, just take my advice. He's bad. Your sweet and pure. Just stay away" she says before leaving my room

"Ugh!" i huff.

The next day

On my way to Spanish class i see Toby turning the corner.

"Hey Toby!' i call out and he stops

"I'm sorry again" i apologize when i get to him

"It's fine. Melissa is like Megan, hates me" he shrugs

"For what it's worth last night was fun. And i don't hate you"

"Thanks Ace" he smirks "Maybe we can chill sometime away from Hastings Headquarters" he laughs and i laugh along.

"Maybe" I shrug.

"Aren't you coming?" he asks

"wait, you meant now?"

he chuckles "yes"

"but there are classes" I say, confused.

"i know"

"and You're going to skip them?" I question

"yes, is that a problem princess? you don't have to come"

I think about the idea for a minute and a sudden rush enters my body.

"no problem. lets go" I smile

Never in a million years would i ever think i'd ditch school.

But here i am.

I don't know What's going on with me, but it's kind of fun.
