Spencer
I see Toby get out of his car from the window and nervousness fills me.
I've moved on passed the whole, 'he's marrying Hanna Marin' thing, I'm just nervous on how it's going to go.
"He's here" I tell the kids and they direct their eyes to the door.
"Hey" Toby gives me a half smile.
"Hey" I return it before our focus is the kids.
"Hey guys, how are you?" He asks,
"We're good" Roshaun nods.
"I like your necklace" Amber smiles, looking at the chain around his neck.
"Thank you" he smiles back at her.
"So, shall we order?" I suggest, unsure of what to do or say.
Toby nods and sits diagonal of me. Roshaun sitting next to me, and amber in front of me, beside Toby.
"I want the chicken fingers and fries mommy!" Amber cheers and I chuckle.
"As always. And for you?" I ask, looking at Roshaun.
"A cheeseburger and fries" he nods
"Ohhhh I want a cheese burger" Amber tells me, smiling.
"Wrought so when the waitress comes you want a cheeseburger instead of the chicken finger"
The smile drops from her face as she glares at me. "No.... I want chicken fingers and fries and cheeseburger and fries" she states and Toby chuckles.
"Can you even eat all that?"
"I did with Aunty Melissa" she states
"Alright then"
"Got a big appetite there, huh?" Toby says, looking at her,
Amber shrugs "I like food. Plus we are having a movie night with Aunty Melissa and I want to eat dinner and be full so by later I can have my junk and not feel weird"
"Wow, you've got it all planned out" he chuckles "you're very smart"
"Just like my mommy" she gushes.
I smile and turn to the waitress when she approaches us.
"Hi, my name is Bella and I'll be your waitress this afternoon.mcan I start you guys off with anything to drink?"
Toby looks at me, telling me to order first.
"I'll have a rootbeer and for them Ice Tea and Fruitopia "
"Got it" she nods, "and for you sir?"
"A coke" he nods
"Alright, and have you guys decided on what you'll eat?" She asks
"Two cheeseburgers with fries and chicken fingers and fries........ And a order of fish and chips" I say as I look up from the menu, feeling like fish and chips
"I'll have fish and chips as well" Toby says, handing bella the menu, I do the same.
She leaves Only to return with our drinks a few minutes later.
"So..... Do we call you daddy?" Roshaun asks
"You can call me whatever you're comfortable with" Toby tells him
Toby
"I like daddy, it makes me feel better. Since I've always wondered who my daddy is, now I don't have to wonder" Amber smiles
It makes me feel at ease to know Spencer didn't have them call any of her previous boyfriends their dad.
"So dad, what's your favourite ice cream flavour?"

1.5 hours later
The afternoon has been going perfect, it was weird at first but we are all talking, eating and laughing like a proper family should.
Inside of me I wish this was how it was, but it isn't and I've excepted it.
Spencer
I smile at my phone when Amber asks Toby another question.
"What'cha smiling about?" Toby asks me after he answers Amber.
"Just something the girls sent me" I lie, it's been going so well, I don't need to ruin it with telling him about Liam. I'm not hiding it, I'm just simply keeping the peace"
"Oh I thought it was Liam. Since you love him so much" Roshaun teases me and I freeze. Amber face palms
Toby.
"Huh?" I ask, unsure if I heard that correctly.
Spencer looks up at me "I have a date with Liam later"
I pause. "Oh....nice" is all I manage to say.
Spencer.
Nice?
That's all he gives me? I'm not complaining,I just expected different.
"Thanks"
"So the kids are staying with Melissa while you go on a date with someone you barely know?"
"This is how you get to know people, you hand out with them"
"And what? Are you going to go back to his place and do whatever acting like you can be so carefree"
"First of all, that's none of your business, and second of all, don't act like I neglect my kids when I don't. I never have. I deserve some me time, I'm 24 for god sakes. I've been a mother from the age of 17, I've been caring about nothing but my children for eight years, so don't come in the middle randomly acting like I do this all the time and I don't deserve a break because I do!" I says louder, causing a few people to stare
"Nice going idiot" I hear Amber tell Roshaun and he shrinks in his chair.
Toby is about to open his mouth when Amber speaks up.
"Daddy, you shouldn't get mad, you have that blonde girl you were with, mommy deserves someone too, and she's a great mommy, we told her to go on the date" she starts
"Yeah, it's fine, we want her to have fun. And we want to hang out with both of you with out you arguing"
Toby sighs "you're right.... I'm sorry"
"Thank you" I nod slowly. "But we should get going"
"Right" he nods.
They all say their goodbyes before Roshaun, Amber and I walk out. Toby saying he'd pay the bill.
I don't understand why he feels he has the right to do this.
I have no control or say over he spends Time with but he has it over me?
There are so many things I could say to him, but I just bite my tongue. Not wanting to make things worse.
"Sorry mommy". Roshaun mumbles
"It's fine love, see that's a lesson on what happens when you try to lie and hide things"
They nod.
The drive home consists of the twins making small talk.
