Fireworks (cont)

Soon we were getting ready for Joey to pick us up I had decided on my zebra striped bikini with a matching pink sundress over it. my hair was pulled into a French braid and My make up is on point. Raeanne wore a green bikini with her long blonde hair down straight and just the lightest make up.
"Omg Rae I'm actually getting nervous "
"You will be fine"
" your right it's just Joey right!"
" exactly, do you think Donnie will notice my outfit?"
"How could he not" we both giggled and before we knew it there was a knock on the door. I opened the door there stood Joey with all the guys
"Hey"
"Hey"
" I thought we were meeting them at the beach"
" yea they just showed up at my house"
" Lee you look umm you look really great"
" yea you both look fucking hot!!"
" shut up Donnie "
" aww did I piss off blue eyes "
Donnie laughs and Joey punches his arm. Donnie puts his arm around Rae's shoulder and she totally turned 3 shades of red.
" umm so you ready Lee"
"Yea let me just lock up"
We pile into Danny's SUV and head off to Savin Hill beach.
"You know who's brilliant idea was all of us driving here" I said being so aggravated and uncomfortable. I was sitting on Joes lap and Rae was on Donnie's which normally wouldn't be a problem but we were crammed between Jordan and the car door. After a few minutes Danny Swinging the car into a parking spot and we all piled out.
" Jesus Christ i've never been that Uncomfortable before and I drove here from New York."
" yeah but you didn't have Joey's boner poking you in the side coming from New York"
" god Jordan your an ass"
" well at least my ass is sweet" as he pats his ass.
" ok we're too ladies" Jonathan asks
" well we will be laying here tanning and y'all can do whatever you want"
Donnie cocked his eyebrow at us " you are seriously just gonna lay here"
" yea that's the point" as he shook his head and ran off towards the water to Join Danny and Jordan And Joe
" umm Lee's"
"I'm suddenly hot Do you mind if I go take a dip"
"You wanna go flirt with Donnie dont you?
" yea... well..."
"Go!!"
" I love you"
" love me less" and I giggle. I grab my tanning oil and start to rub my legs and I try to reach my back and I hear it all to familiar voice say
" need help" I look over
" Jonathan "
" hey Lil bit" ( his nickname for me)
" i'm so glad you came over I so need to talk to you" he grabbed the bottle and did my back.
" what's up lil bit"
" what isnt I don't even know where to start Joe is acting real funny I don't know what's going on he seems nervous all the time. And I don't know lately I've been getting this weird feeling whenever I'm around him my palms are sweaty my heart starts racing and I literally feel lost when he's not around. "
" well lil bit to make a long story short I think neither one of you seem to want to admit it that y'all like each other I know for a fact he has told all of us a lot exactly how much his feeling for you has grown"
" I mean he's my best friend but we can never be anything more than that even if I wanted to because I'm so scared that it would change our friendship"
" I know you're scared that it will mess up your friendship but you can also be missing out on something"
" I don't know!!"
" you want my opinion talk to Joey and I mean actually talk to Joe and see where both of you stand with each other."
Midways through our conversation everyone decided to go grab some lunch on the boardwalk. apparently Donnie and Rae have hit it off there walking holding hands giggling together. Meanwhile me and Jonathan were finishing our conversation well walking up the boardwalk and Joey jogs up " ay babe"
"Babe?"
" oh sorry it's ok if I call you babe right?" As his blue eyes seem to look deep into me and passed all the walls I have been building all my life.
"Yea I guess it's ok"
" so what do you want to eat "
" not really hungry I guess all I really want is a drink maybe"
" you sure "
"Yes." We walked over to the picnic tables and joined the others. After everyone was finished we played some volleyball and soon the afternoon turned into night. By this point Donnie and Rae were acting more than friendly and Jordan and Danny picked up some random girls to watch the fireworks with and Jonathan had left. Donnie and Joe were whispering to the side well Rae and I had excused ourselves to freshen up. I tried to make out what they were saying but all I could hear was Donnie tell Joey to tell me and not to be a fucking pussy. I cleared my throat and both of their heads popped up. " oh hey guys your back, I was just telling Mac daddy over here that maybe you guys should take a walk I think he has something to show you"
"Donnie..." " what!?" " what you say Lee Lee you wanna take a walk with me?" " sure" I turn to say something to Rae but Donnie has dragged her in the opposite direction.
As we walked along the beach I feel Joe grab my hand until we come to a small secluded part of the beach. Just then as if it was planned  the fireworks started overhead. " do you wanna sit down Lee?" " uhh ok" Joe sat down  and help me to sit next to him.  we watched the fireworks overhead for a few moments Joe looked over at me and said " Lee" " yea Joe" " can I ask you something seriously?" " sure anything" at the moment I felt Joe take my hand and look over at me. " ok Lee I honestly don't even begin to know where to start so I'm just gonna come out and say you're all I've been thinking about  from the day that moving truck pulled into the driveway next-door. You're my best friend I could tell you anything always seem to understand. Your there for every rehearsal and audition cheering me on for everything. I just want you to know that I have feelings for you I haven't been able  to tell you but I like you I like everything about you. from crinkle your nose when you laugh to the fact that think you can pull an all nighter with us and you always end up falling asleep. You're funny you're smart you're beautiful and if I don't tell you now I don't know if I would have the courage to say it again." " Joe what are you saying?" " Leesa I like you ok" " Joe I...."
" Lee have you ever kissed anyone?" " no why?" Just like that I could feel his lips and mine. I don't know if it was the fireworks over head For the connection that we have I felt  a spark deep within and from that moment I knew nobody would occupy the place that is now occupied by Joe.
