Martinus looked shocked, like it was the worst thing that could ever happen to him. It took (Y/n) a moment to realize how wrong she had worded that sentence.

"OH NO NO! Martinus Katie's not dead! She went to visit her niece in the hospital, in America." (Y/n) said quickly.

"What? Then why were you guys acting like someone died?" Martinus asked, still on the ground.

"Because she won't be back for 8 months. Her mother wants her to stay through her niece's recovery." (Y/n) said as she sat down on the floor with Martinus.

Marcus soon joined them and a sad aura took over the room. Martinus looked like the light in his life had been so easily distinguished, and now all that was left was an empty, lifeless, body.

Some people think that they are overreacting, but everything was different without Katie. Martinus wanted to hang out with Marcus more, leaving (Y/n) home alone with nothing to do but hang out alone.

(Y/n) missed Marcus, but she went through the loneliness so Martinus could keep his mind off of the absence of Katie. She had been updating a lot recently. She even started writing other short stories that she didn't post on wattpad. She started getting sad, but one day she received a video chat from Katie at about 1 am.

"Hey!" Katie said happily.

(Y/n) could tell she was at her parents house because it looked like she was in her old room.

"Hey..." (Y/n) replied quietly.

(Y/n) had had a lot of trouble getting to sleep lately, so she made sure to turn the lights off so Katie didn't have to see the dark bags under her eyes.

"(Y/n)? Why is it so dark in there? Turn your lights on so I can see you!" Katie demanded.

(Y/n) said nothing but shook her head.

"(F/n) (M/n) (L/n) you get those lights on right now so I can see my best friends face!" Katie demanded more angrily this time.

(Y/n) sighed and slowly got up. She grabbed a hoodie and threw it on her, she put the hood up, but Katie couldn't see since she was off camera. (Y/n) turned the light on and sat down. Luckily the hood was the perfect length so it just casted a shadow over her eyes bags. She didn't want Katie to feel that it was her fault (Y/n) looked like she died inside.

"There." (Y/n) said, trying to act happy.

"(Y/n) you better take that hood off or I'm calling Marcus and making him take it off for you." Katie said as she smirked.

She knew what kinds of thoughts that would send into (Y/n)'s head.

"You wouldn't." (Y/n) said as she looked away, an obvious blush overcoming the shadow of the hood.

"Bet." Was all Katie said before she jumped off screen and pulled out her phone, she dialed a number and walked into another room.

(Y/n) could barely hear her and someone talking, but she wasn't really listening.

Katie finally came back on camera after a few minutes with a smirk on her face.

(Y/n) slowly went off camera and walked over to her bedroom door and locked it. (If you don't have a lock on your door you put something heavy in front of it.) She walked back into view of the laptop camera and returned Katie's smirk. Katie rolled her eyes and typed something into her phone before pressing send.

They waited in silence until Katie's phone chimed.

"(Y/n), what did you do to the spare key for your bedroom?" Katie asked.

Katie gasped as (Y/n) smirked and held up the spare key. Katie groaned in annoyance and typed something in. She pressed send into her phone once again.

"So, (Y/n) how has Martinus been? I've missed him so much since I've left." Katie said as if trying to distract her.

"He was really torn up about you leaving, but we've been working together to help him. He's been doing a lot better recently." (Y/n) said as she looked into the camera.

Katies phone chimed again. She read it to herself before continuing.

"I do wonder about one thing, how do you know how he's doing? You haven't seen him since I left. You haven't seen Marcus or Martinus. NOW MARCUS!" Katie yelled. Right after she said that (Y/n) was tackled to the ground by a heavy weight.

"QUICK PULL HER HOOD OFF SO I CAN SEE HER BEAUTIFUL FACE!" Katie screamed through the laptop.

Marcus pulled the hood off and Katie and Marcus both couldn't help but gasp at what they saw. It looked like (Y/n) hadn't slept in a week. The bags under her eyes were black. (Like Lawliet from death note) Marcus could tell when he tackled her that she had lost weight too.

"(Y/n)..." Katie said with a sad look on her face.

"I have to go." (Y/n) Said and reached for the end call button.

"(Y/n) don-" Katie tried to say but she had already pressed the button.

(Y/n) and Marcus were silent until (Y/n) was pushed down onto the bed. ( ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))

She looked at Marcus, but he had gotten up to turn the light off. He picked up a large blanket and wrapped it around them. He wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered to her.

"Get some sleep, I'm here now."

(Y/n instantly felt a sense of security and shut her eyes, she fell asleep to Marcus's calming scent.

(Y/n) woke up at what she thought was early in the morning, but when she checked her phone she saw it was 6 in the afternoon. (Y/n) sighed and slowly got up, she looked into the mirror in the bathroom and saw that the bags under her eyes were already lighter. She heard a loud noise from the living room but she shrugged it off and got out some concealer and put it around under her eyes. She wanted to forget about what happened at night, but the sad look on Katie's face kept coming back. It reminded her of the face Martinus was making when she told him Katie had left. She felt a sense of sadness wash over her and she shut the light off in the bathroom and walked into the living room to see what all the commotion was about...
