Everyone was happy for the newly engaged couple, except a certain person. She planned for this wedding to be a disaster....
No one's POV
Everyone (Your mom, brother, Katie, Martinus, and You and Marcus) was celebrating at (Favorite restaurant). Marcus was relieved that everything went well. He was scared she would say no. Everyone was talking and laughing, until (M/n) asked about the date.
Your POV
"So, when do you two plan on having your wedding?" My mother asked nonchalantly.
I felt cold, I never realized until now that I would have to stand in front of lots of people and declare my love for Marcus. I felt a bundle of nerves hit me. I held Marcus's hand under the table and he got what I was trying to say.
"Ah I think that's something we still need to speak about together." Marcus said as he squeezed my hand reassuringly.
I smiled and continued to chat as the thought drifted from my head, leaving me with only joy.
As the night went on I was happy that I could hang out with my friends and family. My mom and brother stayed at my place and Katie left that night on a plane back to the US.
I woke up in the morning from my phone ringing, it was very early too, because my mother wasn't even awake yet. I looked at the number before I answered because if it was a telemarketer I was going back to sleep.
I recognized the number but I didn't know who it was. I answered after thinking for a few moments, after clicking the accept call button I slowly moved the phone up to me ear.
"Hello?" I asked hesitantly.
"What's good fam? It's Koen." When Koen said his name memories of my childhood came back.
"Hey Koen, it has been a while, whatcha need?" I asked as I sat up.
"I was wondering if I could go to Norway and stay with you guys for awhile." Koen asked as background noise could be heard shuffling around the room.
"Hm..." I hummed as I checked my calendar.
Seeing it empty as always I said yes.
"Sure, I don't see a problem with it. But why so sudden?" I asked.
"Oh, my grandmother passed away and before she passed she said she wanted me to reconnect with you." Koen said.
"I see, when do you want to come down?" I asked attempting to ignore the loud background noises.
"Well, you see... I'm kind of about to get on a plane now....so.... I'll be there in about half an hour... see you then bye!"
That's all I heard before the dial played that meant the person on the other end had ended the call.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I checked the time and saw it was 6 am. My mom and brother had to be at the airport soon. I slowly got up and wandered into the kitchen to make some food.
Once the french toast, bacon, eggs, and sausage were finished, I walked into the living room to wake them up. I slowly walked toward them and shook my mom gently. She bolted up and grabbed her shoe from God knows where.
"WHO GOES THERE!!!?? I WON'T HESITATE TO HIT YOU WITH MY CHANCLA!" My mom shouted as she threw her shoe towards me.
I ducked just in time and the shoe knocked a vase off of the counter. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.
"It's just me mom." I said.
I noticed that in the middle of the incident my brother has woken up. He sniffed the air and looked at me. I smiled and he bolted into the kitchen.
"I'm excited for you, a mother has always dreamed of the day when their child finds the one they want to spend the rest of their life with." My mother said as she hugged me.
"Thanks mom, I'll make sure to get you here at least a week before the wedding." I said.
"And don't think you have to wait until marriage to make me some grandchildren. I can only wait for so long." My mother said to me as she wiggles her eyebrows.
My face turned red as that thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I attempted to change the subject.
"UH UH UH I MADE BREAKFAST BETTER GET SOME BEFORE (B/n) EATS IT ALL HAHAH!" I said nervously as I ran into the kitchen.
We all ate quickly and they finished packing, surprisingly Koen's flight was right about the time that my mother's and brother's flight was. So I dropped them off a little early and waited for Koen.
Koen was older than me by one day, but I was slightly taller than him. I didn't notice him at first but then it hit me. He slowly walked over to me, and when he got over he gave me a hug.
"What's good fam?" Koen said as he approached.
"Hey! How've you been?" I asked.
We carried on the conversation for a while and then we decided to drive to my house. While we were on our way, I realized that I had forgotten I had my ring on. Not that it was a big deal, but I haven't really gotten used to being engaged yet.
While we were driving I noticed Koen staring at my ring. After a while he decided to speak up.
"So.... what's the ring for?" Koen asked as he admired it.
"Hehe... well you see, I'm kinda sorta *incoherent mumbling*" I said as I looked away.
"You what?" He asked.
"I'm getting married." I said I my face turned a bright red.
I heard a gasp of surprise from Koen.
"WHEN WAS I GOING TO HEAR ABOUT THIS. OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!!!" Koen screamed suddenly making me swerve off the road for a second.
"Don't do that man!" I said as I calmed my erratically beating heart.
"Gurl this conversation isn't over." Koen said as we pulled into the driveway.
As we got out, I saw a car parked on the street and something hit me...
What was Marcus going to think?
