Chapter 17

A few hours before. Lucy P.O.V.

My mother told me stories about wolfs and their mates when I was a kid. I loved those stories. And I couldn't wait till I met my mate. But after the raid I lost that wish. I always thought I will never meet my mate. But yesterday, in the dungeon, I heard his voice. It was from a young man. Normally I'm afraid from men, thanks to a certain Alpha Hades. But his voice was so soft and tender. I felt safe with him. I was so weak at that moment, so I didn't saw him properly. The only thing I saw were his eyes. They were dark from color. I was prepared for a hard and strict look, but his look was different. It was a soft and friendly look. A bit concerned, but most of them lovely. When I saw his look my world stood still. I forgot all my pain, problems and grief. My body warmed up inside of me. First, I thought I dreamed, but I wasn't. And at that moment I felt a little bit light and warmth in my heart. A feeling that I lost six years ago.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw that I'm lying in a bed. Next from me sat a young man with pink hair. I recognized him, he was also downstairs in the cellars. He was the one who freed me and brought me up here. And he was my mate.

"Hey," I heard suddenly. I looked up and saw that the young man was smiling at me. "Hey," I said weak but with a smile. I looked around and asked: "Where am I?" The young man sat closer to me and answered: "You are now in the infirmary. Wendy cleaned you up and took care of all your wounds." I smiled and tried to sit up. The young man stood up and helped me. "Thank you," I said. The man smiled and answered: "No problem. Let me introduce myself, my name is Natsu Dragneel. I'm the Alpha from this pack that calls Fairy Tail." My eyes widened a bit. "You're the Alpha?" I said. He just nodded. I tried to bow and said: "I'm so sorry for all the problems I brought with me. I..."

But Natsu put his finger on my lips and said: "It's okay Lucy, you don't need to apologies." I stiffed a bit because he was very close to me and touched me. But there was something, I felt safe by him. He pulled away and walked over to a table. He took a plate and gave it to me. "Here you need to eat something, so you can recover faster." I smiled and took the plate."Thank you Natsu." I said and started to eat. "This is delicious." Natsu laughed and said: "Sure it is, Mira her cooking skills are the best." I looked up and asked: "Is that the girl with short white hair and blue eyes?" Natsu shook his head and answered: "No, that is her sister Lissana. Mira is her older sister, I'm sure you two will be best friends." I said nothing but smiled.

After a while, my plate was empty. "How do you know my name?" I asked a little curious. Natsu took my plate and put it back on the table. Then he sat back down on the chair and answered: "Your friend Erza Scarlet told me about you. Who you really are and why you came from Grimoire Heart." I looked down at my hands. "So,you know who I really am?" He nodded. "Your other friend told me also about you. "This time I looked confused at him. "Who?" I asked. Natsu smiled and said: "I think you will know him, Loke The Lion." My eyes widened when I heard Loke's name. "He lives?" I asked still confused. I felt how tears were coming up. "Don't cry," he said softly and wiped away my tears. "He is indeed still alive. After what happened, he came to me. I welcomed him of course with open arms." I started to cry. I felt how he hugged me. "Thank you Natsu, thank you for everything what you did for Loke." Natsu smiled and kept me close to him.

Suddenly we heard a lot of noise outside. I heard Natsu growl. "What the hell are they doing outside?" He murmured. I sighed and tried to stand up. "Luce, what are you doing?" I looked at him confused. "Luce?" I asked. He grinned and answered: "It's a nickname for you. You are my mate, so I want to give you a personal nickname." I stiffed a bit, not from fear, but from happiness. Because I was right about my mate. "I like it, thank you Natsu." He just smiled. I got up, but feel I was still weak. "Be careful," he said and lend me a hand. "What are you going to do?" He asked. I looked at him and answered: "I will go outside and take care of this. Promise me something Natsu." He looked confused, but asked: "What is it?" I breathed in and answered: "I want you to stay hidden and listen to what I'm going to say. I need to fix some things, and tell everything about me. My secrets, my past and the truth. I want to tell you first, but looks like I don't have a choice. Please, don't interfere with it Natsu." Natsu nodded.
