Chapter 39

Natsu P.O.V.

I opened slowly my eyes and the first thing I saw was my beautiful mate. I smiled and put some hair out her face. I looked around and saw it was early in the morning. The forest was waking up.

We were still in the forest, close to the pound. We are both still naked under the sheets, but I don't care. Last night was amazing. I smiled when I thought back of our 'mating' session.

"Alpha," said a voice. I sighed. "What is it Gildarts?" He paused for a second, but answered: "We found our spy." I froze. "And I think you won't like it." Added Gildarts. "What do you mean?" I asked. Gildarts was quiet again. "Just say it Gildarts," I growled. I felt some movement and saw Lucy. She looked at me with a concerned look. Before Gildarts could reply, she spoke. "We are coming back, see you in a hour Gildarts." I was surprised when Lucy spoke. "Understood Luna," he answered and broke the contact.

"Natsu," she spoke and touched my cheek. All my anger and frustration disappeared. I relaxed at her touch. She smiled and kissed my lips. "Tell me, for what are you so angry and afraid for?" I sighed and sat up. She leant against me. "When Gildarts said I will not like it, I was bit afraid for the truth. What if it someone I know very good, I don't know what to do with that person."

Lucy moved a bit and sat now on my lap. She brought her forehead against mine and whispered: "I'm sorry Natsu, but know I will be there beside you. And together we will find the right solution." I smiled. We both stayed for a few seconds into this position. She pecked my forehead and stood up. She looked for her clothes and put them on. All that time, I was just staring at her amazing body. I know how she thinks about her body. She thinks she is ugly and damaged thanks to all the scars and bruises. I told her last night million times she has a beautiful body.

"Stop staring Natsu," she said blushing and threw my clothes in my face. I chuckled and put my clothes on. "Ready?" she asked. I nodded. But before she could transform in her wolf, I grabbed her by her waist and kissed her. "I love you, and thank you for standing beside me." I said honestly. She smiled. "You're welcome my mate."

We both shifted and ran back to the pack. We saw Gildarts on the training fields, together with Laxus. Both men saw us and walked to us. We both shifted back to our human form. "Alpha, Luna," spoke Gildarts and bowed. Laxus followed. "Good morning guys," said Lucy. I just nodded. "Where is he?" I asked. Laxus looked back at Gildarts. "You didn't told him who the spy is?" He asked surprised. Gildarts sighed. "No, I just don't know how you will react Alpha." He explained. I growled. "Just tell me who it is, now!" I ordered. Gildarts looked down, but said: "It's Lissana."

I froze when I heard her name. "Wait Lissana, Mira's sister?" Asked Lucy surprised. Gildarts nodded, also Laxus confirmed Lucy her question. I just didn't know what to say. I knew Lissana from when we were children. She was my best childhood friend. We did everything together when we were younger. "Where is she?" I asked with no emotions. Gildarts looked at Laxus. "Where the hell is she!" I said angry, losing my patience. "In the dungeons, she..." But I was already turned around. I couldn't think straight. "Why, why will she do this to us, to this pack, her family. Why?" I asked myself frustrated. "You know what we do with traitors." Said Etherious. My anger took over. Etherious took my body over, my eyes became red from color.

I entered the dungeons and looked around. I saw Mira talking to Lissana, who was in one of the cells. I growled and walked to the cell, taking the keys with me. "Alpha," said Mira and bowed. I ignored her and opened the cell. "Alpha," spoke Lissana. But I grabbed her by her collar and pushed against the wall. "How dare you!" I growled. Etherious controlled my body, but I was too angry not to think clear. Lissana saw my eyes and knew it was Etherious who controlled my body. "Natsu, stop it." Said Mira behind me. I looked back at Mira. She was stunned when she saw Etherious. "Please Alpha," she begged. "I know she did something wrong, but she is..." I growled. "Shut up!" I barked in Alpha voice." She stopped talking and coward back from my voice. I looked back at Lissana. She shook from fear. "Why?" I asked. She didn't answer. I growled from frustration and pushed her back against the wall. She yelped from the pain. "Tell me why!" I asked again.

"Etherious, Natsu, stop it now!" Said a new voice. I recognized the voice immediately. Also Etherious recognized the voice. Behind me stood Lucy. Behind Lucy were Gildarts, Laxus and Mira. Lucy had a worried look. "Put her down Natsu," she said. Her eyes flashed from brown, to gold. Etherious saw also her eyes and let go of Lissana. I took back control of my body. Lucy smiled and brought me in a hug. "Never let anger control you Natsu," she whispered. "I know it's hard, but please try it next time." I sighed, but I know she was right. "I'm sorry Lucy." I whispered back. She smiled and pecked my forehead. "Go upstairs, take some fresh air. I will talk first to her, I will call you ok?" She said. I just nodded and kissed her hand. After that, I walked back upstairs ignoring everyone.

Lucy P.O.V.

"Can you all give us some time alone?" I asked. The rest nodded. Gildarts closed the cell doors and walked back outside. Laxus took Mira with him and nodded at me. I nodded back. "Don't worry Mira, I'm just going to talk." I told Mira through the link. She just nodded.

When it was just Lissana and me, I turned back and looked at her. She was still leaning against the wall and looked at the ground. "You okay?" I asked. She didn't answer, but just nodded. I sat down on the bench and patted the place beside me. "Sit please," I said. She obeyed and sat beside me. "Tell me about you and Natsu." I said. She looked surprised at me, not expecting that question. "Well... we grew up together. He was my childhood friend." She explained. "We did everything together." I smiled. "Natsu is not mad at you Lissana." She raised a brow at me. "He has the right to be mad at me Luna, you saw it when he slammed me against the wall." I chuckled. "That was Etherious, not Natsu. Natsu was also mad at you, but it was Etherious who did that to you." I explained. She sighed.

"Did you spy because of me?" I asked taking the risk. She looked down, but I saw how her eyes widened. I smiled and leant back against the wall. "I saw how you looked at me when Natsu told everyone I was his mate. You were heartbroken, wasn't it?" I asked. This time she looked at me. "You were in love with Natsu and hoped he was your mate, am I right?" She nodded. "It's true. I was jealous. I contacted Grimoire Heart after we visited you in the dungeons. They told me to spy for them, in return they would bring you back to their pack." She said ashamed. "I was afraid for Natsu, because you were a monster. But that was all before you explained yourself. But I was stubborn to believe you were Natsu his mate." She paused for a second. "But after what you did for Mira and Laxus, I knew how wrong I was. I told myself multiple times what for an idiot I am. So I contacted Grimoire Heart again, so I could quit. But that was a big mistake, lucky for me Mira and the rest of the guys were there."

"I don't know how to say this, but I'm so sorry for everything. I understand if you don't accept it, I completely understand." She said. I just looked at her. "What will happen now with me?" She asked afraid for the answer. I sighed. "Well," I began and gave a sign. At that moment, Natsu walked inside. Lissana froze completely. She knew Natsu heard every word. I told Natsu to wait just outside the dungeons. He heard everything Lissana told me. He opened the cell and stood beside me. I stood up and walked beside him. "You want to talk with her?" I asked. He shook his head and grabbed my hand.

"Tell me Lissana, why didn't you talk to me?" He asked. Lissana looked down. "I was stubborn Alpha, I was just so angry that I didn't think clear at that moment." He sighed and looked at me. "What do you want to do with her?" He asked me through the link. "This time you decide what will happen to her Natsu. You know her the best, and I think it's better if you decide what her punishment will be. But remember, she was your childhood friend. Her emotions played a huge roll in this, thanks to that she made some wrong decisions." I answered. He nodded and looked back at Lissana.

"Lissana," he began. But at that moment Gildarts walked inside. All three of us looked at him. "I'm so sorry Alpha, Luna. But we got a problem." He explained. "What is it?" I asked growing more concerned.

"Jet is back, and he got some bad news."
