I heard a gasp and opened my eyes. I looked right into two black eyes. I felt my cheeks turned red. Natsu had the same reaction as me. His cheeks became red and he let go of my chin. He pulled back and cleared his throat. I didn't know what to say. My heart was beating so fast. My wolf part inside me whimpered a bit. "We almost kissed," I thought panicking.
I heard a sound and looked at the door. Natsu followed my gaze. I froze when I saw Mira standing in the doorway. Her mouth was a bit open and she just looked at us. "Euhm... Mira?" Said Natsu. Mira snapped out of her stare and this time she smiled. But it wasn't a normal smile. She was thinking of something. "Don't," warned Natsu before she could say something. This time Mira giggled. "Don't worry, I will not tell a thing about this." She said and put two plates with food on the table. She left the room, but said quickly: "But, I can tell Erza and Wendy about this." After those words, she left the room.
I heard Natsu sigh. "I'm sorry about Mira. She is also known as a matching maker, so yeah." I giggled. "It's okay Natsu," I said. "But we got a problem," I said serious. He looked confused at me. "If this reach Erza, she is definitely going to kill you." I saw how Natsu gulped. I laughed. He pouted. "Don't laugh with me, I'm your mate. You are supposed to protect me, not laugh at me." I blushed when he called me his mate, but it was a nice feeling hearing those words. I squeezed his hand and said: "Don't worry, I will protect you." I leant in gave him a kiss on his cheek. I pulled back and blushed a bit. Natsu froze from my movement, but after a few seconds a big smile appeared on his face.
"Are you hungry?" He asked. I nodded. He stood up and took the two plates that Mira brought. "Here you go," he said and gave me my plate. I thanked him and started to eat. He followed my lead. "If you want, I can give you a tour tomorrow of our pack. After that we can have a picnic, if you want." Said Natsu not daring to look into my eyes. I saw how nervous he was. I giggled. This time, he looked at me. "I would love to Natsu," I said honestly. He smiled, showing his white teeth. "Great." He said and ate his last bit of food up. "Ah, that was delicious." My eyes widened. I looked at my plate and saw it was still half full. "How fast can you eat?" I asked surprised. He grinned. "I'm just a fast eater, sorry for that Luce." I blushed when he called me with by my nickname. "It's okay Natsu, I was just surprised." He nodded and put his empty plate on the table. "Tomorrow, there will be a ceremony." Said Natsu after a while. "A ceremony?" I asked confused. "Yes, for you and Erza. Tomorrow, Erza will be official a member of this pack, and you our Luna." I froze when I heard I will become Luna. "Luce?" Asked Natsu concerned when he saw my face. "I don't know if I can do this Natsu." I whispered and looked down. He took my empty plate and put it away. Then he sat beside me on the bed and took my hand. With is other hand he lifted my chin up. "Luce, what do you mean by that.?" He asked. I started to sob. Natsu brought me in a hug. He rubbed my back and gave a kiss on my head.
After a few minutes, my sobs went down. "Thank you Natsu," I said. Natsu looked at me and smiled. "You okay?" He asked. I nodded. "I would love to be Luna Natsu, it's just I'm scared. I'm a failure as Luna. My previous pack, the pack my parents build was just gone because I failed my pack." I explained. Without warning Natsu lifted me up and climbed in bed. He put me on his lap and made sure I was turned so I looked right into his black eyes. "Luce, you are not a failure. And you surely did not fail your pack. And I know you will be a wonderful Luna from this pack." He said softly. I looked down. "I don't know Natsu." Natsu smiled weak and said: "Luce, you will be an amazing Luna. You didn't fail your pack, all of this was the work of Grimoire Heart." I looked up to him. He wiped away my tears in the corner of my eyes. "You are a wonderful person Luce. You are kind, sweet and lovely, but most of all protective." I looked confused. He chuckled. "Loke told me about you how protective you are about your people, friends or family." He explained. I smiled. "He is right," I said. "See, you will be a great Luna Luce. And don't forget, I will help you, together with Erza, Loke, Mira and even Wendy will support you. And I bet, after a few days, the whole pack will love you." I blushed by his words.
"Thank you," I whispered. He smiled. He put his forehead on my forehead and asked: "So Lucy Heartfilia, will you accept me as your mate and become the Luna of this pack?" I smiled and answered: "Yes. I lovely accept you as my mate Natsu Dragneel. And I will do my best as Luna of this pack."
He smiled and suddenly picked me up bride style. I yelped from surprise. I threw my arms around his neck and buried my face against his chest. "Natsu, what are you doing?" I asked. He laughed. I looked up and saw how I was in his arms. My face became red from embarrassment. He chuckled. "I know we already ate something, but I promised you a date." I looked surprised at him. He grinned, showing his white teeth. "That's why I will take you to my favorite place in this pack." He walked outside and put me down on my feet. "It's a bit running, so we need to shift." He explained. Before I could say something he started to shift. Now, a large black-red wolf stood before me. His eyes were red from color and on his red eye, there was a red scar. A red, black aura was around him.

I shivered a bit. He whimpered when he saw my look. His ears were flat on his neck, and he lied down before me. "I'm sorry Luce," I heard suddenly Natsu say. "My wolf is not an ordinary wolf, he is also known as the Fire Demon wolf or as I call him Etherious." Natsu explained. When I am in my wolf form, he is free and as you can feel and see, he has a dark aura. But do not worry, I have him under my control. Plus, he will never harm his mate." He said winking the last part. I smiled. But my smile disappeared when I saw Natsu his wolf form. "I don't know if I can control her Natsu." I said. He understood what I meant and stood back up. He walked to me and put his nose against my head. I pet his head and scratched him behind his ear. He closed his eyes and enjoyed from the scratching. I giggled. He grinned and laid down before me. "Hop on, I will take you to my secret place." I nodded and climbed on his back. He stood up and looked at me. "Ready?" I nodded. "Yes, let's go." He howled loud and ran off to the mountains.
