Chapter 60

Gray P.O.V.

Juvia and me ran through the fortress, on our way we finished off some warriors. "Almost there," I said. Juvia nodded. Two guards came out a room and saw us, they both shifted in their black wolf.

I sprinted at them and attacked the first wolf. Juvia jumped on my back and launched at the other wolf. We both finished them off. "Great teamwork," I said. Juvia smiled.

After few turns we were at the room to open the doors of the fortress. We entered the room and saw Melody with five guards. "How did you two get inside?" She growled. I looked behind her and saw a lever. "You see the lever, that will be opening the doors." I told Juvia through the link. "Great, but first we need to deal with them." She said. "You take the guards, I deal with Melody." She said.

Before I could respond, she ran forward to Melody. Melody reacted fast and blocked Juvia her attack. I didn't wait and attacked the first guard. He was surprised so was finished off quickly. But the other four were now in their wolf form and attacked me. Two wolves worked together and tried to corner me, but I knew what their plan was and attacked one of the wolves. The other wolf tried to push me off, but I dodged his tackle so he tackled his own friend. I acted fast and made quick work of them.

Sadly I forgot about the other warrior and was pinned to the ground. He bit in my shoulder. I growled from the pain and kicked the wolf of me. My shoulder bled a bit, but not too hard. I tackled him on the ground and bit hard in his neck. He struggled a bit, but my grip was too strong.

I heard a whimper and saw the fourth warrior was helping Melody with Juvia. Melody bled hard on her flank. But the warrior had pinned Juvia to the ground and his teeth were in her neck. I sprinted to the warrior and jumped on him. He let go and tried to get me off him. But I had the upper hand and finished him off. "Thanks Gray," Juvia said exhausted.

I looked at her to see if she needed medical attention, but suddenly Melody pushed me hard against the wall. My head hit the wall hard and I felt dizzy. "Gray!" Said Juvia and ran at Melody. "Don't you dare attack Juvia's mate!" She hissed and bit in Melody her leg. Melody howled from the pain and hit Juvia in her flank, but she didn't let go. Juvia tripped Melody and this time she grabbed Melody in her neck and threw her body against the wall. Her head hit the wall too, but much harder when it happened with me.

She lost conscious and didn't move anymore. Juvia was exhausted and collapsed in her human form. "Juvia," I said and stood wobbly up. I shifted back ran to her to check her vitals. She was still breathing. Luckily her wound was not that big, she was only tired. I looked back and pulled the lever. The doors opened and I heard how wolves were entering the fortress.

I sighed and took Juvia in my arms. I slide down on the ground against the wall and rested my head against the wall. Juvia was in my arms sleeping. "You did well Juvia, I'm so proud of you." I whispered.

I gave her a kiss on her head. "I love you so much." I said with a smile.
