Chapter 18

Lucy P.O.V.

I stiffed for a second. I saw in the corner of my eye how Erza also stiffed. "It's okay Erza," I said through the link. She looked at me. "They deserve to know the truth, especially Gray." She sighed but nodded.

"I will tell you Gray, but you have to promise me something." I say. Gray frowned. "What is it?" He asked after a few seconds. "Before you are going to react, let me explain the whole story. After that, you can do whatever you want." He looked confused at me, but nodded. "The person who killed your brother was... me."

No answer. I looked around and saw that everyone was just staring at me. Most of them were confused. I saw that Loke was one of these persons. Some person gasped, other persons were growling. But Gray was just looking straight at me. "What did you say?" He asked. His voice was so quiet that human hearings couldn't hear it. But I could hear him loud and clear, thanks to my wolf powers. I swallowed. "I killed your brother."

Not a second later I hit the ground hard. Pain struck into my jaw. I tasted blood in my mouth. But a second later, the hit was followed with a kick in my stomach. I didn't resist, I knew I was going to pay for my actions. So, I didn't fight back. I looked up and saw Gray. His eyes were filled with rage. "You are going to pay, you bitch!" He growled loud.

I saw that the rest was just standing at their spot. They didn't interfere, because they knew I deserved this. I looked at Erza and Loke. I was shocked when I saw both of them were on the ground. Laxus was holding Erza, while Gildarts pinned Loke against the ground. Both were struggling to get up. "Let go of me!" I heard Erza growl. Laxus growled back and hissed: "She deserved this, so shut your mouth." They were looking concerned at me.

I smiled weak and said softly: "Don't worry about me." Gray was ready to kick me again. I looked at the ground and waited for the kick. "Lucy, stand up." I heard Natsu say. I was surprised for a second. "No Natsu, I deserve this. What I did, is unforgivable." I said through the link. I heard Natsu growl. Gray his kick hit me hard. I gasped for air. I felt how my wound was bleeding again. Gray grabbed me by my hair and pulled me up. I tried to suppress my scream, but a sound escaped my mouth. Gray held me before him and hit me in the face. I fell on the ground. My lip burst and bled hard. I felt my jaw was swollen. But Gray wasn't ready and yanked me up, again by my hair. This time he hit me in my stomach. My shirt was drenched in blood, thanks to the wound.

"Gray, stop it!" I heard a voice say. I looked weak up and saw it was Wendy. Gray looked at Wendy and said: "Stay away Wendy, she will pay for murdering my brother." But Wendy grabbed him by his arm and growled: "Her wound is open again, she wasn't fully recovered. If you hit her again, her state will only become worse. She can die Gray, so stop it." Gray just growled and looked at me. I saw him smirking. "That's good enough for me, she deserved to die after what she did to my brother." Wendy tried to stop him, but Gray was stronger and pushed Wendy away. "Now die," he said and prepared his fist. I closed my eyes and waited for his final move."

But the hit never came. Suddenly I felt how warmth was surrounding me. Gray let go of my hair. I felt a protective arm around me. I heard gasps from the other wolves. "What the?" I heard Gray say. I slowly opened my eyes. My eyes widened when I saw Natsu. He held my body against his chest. One arm was around me protective, while his other arm was blocking Gray his attack. "Natsu," I said weak. Natsu didn't look at me, but I catch a glimpse from his gaze. His eyes were filled with anger and rage. He looked at Gray. I saw how Natsu stopped Gray his fist.

"I will not let you touch her one more time Gray." Hissed Natsu.

Natsu P.O.V.

I stiffed when I heard Lucy her words. "She killed Lyon?" I didn't know what to think. I saw how everyone stared at Lucy. I saw Gray was just standing and looking at Luce. I saw how he said something whispering. Thanks to my very strong hearing, I understood what he said. "What did you say?" Gray asked. His voice was kill and I didn't had a good feeling about this. Lucy answered his question.

But before I could blink, Gray ran forwards and gave Lucy a hard punch in her face. She fell to the ground, but Gray gave her a kick in her stomach. I started to growl. I saw how Loke and Erza tried to stop Gray, but they were pinned to the ground by Laxus and Gildarts. "Let go of me!" I heard Erza growl. I looked around and saw no one was going to stop Gray, not even Mira or Wendy. "I can't believe it, they know she is my mate. And now they are hurting her." I said with venom. I looked at Lucy. Her face was swollen and she bled hard on her face. I saw the wound on her stomach was also starting to bleed. I couldn't stay here and walked as fast as I could downstairs. "Lucy, stand up." I said through the link. I had to wait for a second, but then she answered: "No Natsu, I deserve this. What I did, is unforgivable." I growled by her words and walked faster.

I ran to the door and walked outside. Suddenly I heard Wendy. "Her wound is open again, she wasn't fully recovered. If you hit her again, her state will only become worse. She can die Gray, so stop it." She begged. I heard Gray growling and said: "That's good enough for me, she deserves to die after what she did to my brother." My eyes shifted to my wolf eyes, but I stopped myself and ran to the crowd. I pushed everyone aside. I heard wolves gasp, but I ignored them. I arrived in the middle and saw Gray was holding Lucy by her hair. "Now die," Gray said and was ready to punch her.

Without thinking, I walked forward. I grabbed Lucy her body and pulled her against my chest. With my other hand, I stopped Gray his fist. "What the?" I heard Gray say. I saw in the corner of my eyes how everyone looked surprised at me. "Natsu," I heard Lucy whisper. Deep inside me, I wanted to look at her. To see how bad her injuries were and to tell I will protect her, but I didn't turn my head and just looked at Gray. "I will not let you touch her one more time Gray." I hissed.

I stared at him for a few seconds. Then I looked at Gildarts and Laxus. "Release them," I ordered. "But," began Laxus. I growled and used my Alpha voice: "Release them now." Both shrunk by my voice and released Erza and Loke. "You both okay?" I asked. They just nodded. "Erza, can you take Luce from me?" Erza frowned by the nickname, but walked over and took Lucy. "Lucy, you okay?" She asked. This time, I looked at Lucy and smiled. She smiled back and turned then to Erza. I didn't hear the answer and looked at my pack.

"I am very disappointed, in all of you!" I said irritated. This time I looked at a few people, especially Laxus, Gildarts and Mira. "Our apologies Alpha," said Laxus and bowed. "But she," he began and pointed at Lucy. "Killed one of our family members. She..." I growled loud. "You knew how important she was Laxus, so as you Gildarts." I said and looked at the older man. Then I glared further to Mira. She knew why I looked at her, and bowed her head. I looked at Gray, who looked pissed. "You," I hissed and pointed at Gray. "You promised something to Lucy." He growled by my words. "Alpha, she.... Shut your mouth," I barked loud. Everyone was afraid and didn't say a word.

I looked at Lucy and asked: "Can you tell us your story, or do you need medical attention first?" She shook her head and answered: "No thanks, I will be okay." I saw how much pain she had in her eyes. Erza saw it too and asked: "Are you sure Lucy?" She smiled weak and nodded. "Don't worry about me." Then she looked at me.

"And yes, I will tell what happened that day."
