Chapter 34

Erza P.O.V.

"Name is Jellal, Jellal Fernandes." He introduced himself. I smiled and replied: "Name is Erza, Erza Scarlet." He smiled and looked with his dark eyes right into mine. "Mate, mate, mate!" Screamed my wolf. I chuckled with my inner wolf.

*cough*

We both looked back. It was Macbeth. "Jellal, is she really your mate?" He asked. He smiled at me. Than he looked back with a serious face and replied: "She is." No one dared to say something. I looked back at Lucy. She smiled at me. She stepped forwards. "How about you join us at dinner, I can make enough for all of us." She proposed. Natsu grabbed her by her waist and said: "Yeah that's a great idea, we got plenty." I looked back at Jellal. He was thinking, but nodded. "Thanks for the invitation Luna and Alpha, we love to join you." Levy smiled and hugged Lucy. The two girls giggled and walked back to the camp. Gray and Juvia followed them. Jellal grabbed my hand and asked like a gentleman: "Shall we go my lady." I smiled and accepted his hand. "Of course." I replied. I lead Jellal back to the camp. Natsu followed us, together with the rest of Crime Sorcière.

After a while, we all sat around the camp fire. Natsu and Lucy sat together cuddled up. Lucy was talking with Levy, while Natsu talked with Gray and Juvia. The other members of Crime Sorcière sat together and spoke between them. Jellal sat beside me and talked about his pack.

"Tell me Jellal," began Lucy suddenly. Jellal and the rest of Crime Sorcière looked up. "How was Crime Sorcière formed and where do you guys stay, because I never heard of your pack?" She asked. "We are all friends, we all lived together in the same village." He began. "But five years ago, our village was attacked by Grimoire Heart. We were the only survivors." He looked sad and stared at the ground. I took his hand. He looked at me. I smiled. He smiled back and continued. "We fled the village and decided to make our own pack. I was chosen to be Alpha, because my father was the leader of our village. We decided to travel and not to stay at one place. We attacked Grimoire Heart warriors and defended villages when they were in danger. We try to help here and there against Grimoire Heart." He explained.

"And you Scarlet was one of them, the warriors who attacked our village?" Asked Macbeth. I looked down. "It's true, I was there." I confessed. Macbeth didn't respond. Also the rest of Crime Sorcière didn't respond. Jellal stroked my hand. "I know that day, it was my third time I joined a raid and the first time I was in fight with a Purgatory member." Everyone looked at me. "You fought a Purgatory member?" Asked Angel. I smiled weak and nodded. "Yeah, that's right."

"Kill all of them!" Ordered Zancrow. We stood on a hill and saw a small village. Warriors transformed in their wolf form and ran to the village when they heard Zancrow his order. Wolfs from the village fought back against the warriors.

"Come on Scarlet!" Barked Zancrow. I growled and transformed. I ran down and helped the warriors. It didn't took long to capture them. "Bring everyone from the village here!" Ordered Zancrow. We broke into their homes and brought them to the open place. All warriors were in their human form and cuffed with silver chains. "Listen carefully," began Zancrow. I looked around and saw a lot of women with their children. "Grimoire Heart is now your new home, and you will all obey our Alpha!" One of the warriors laughed. Zancrow narrowed his eyes. An man around his fifty was grinning at Zancrow. "We will never obey your Alpha! I will die before I bow to your pathetic Alpha." I was surprised when the rest of the village agreed with him.

Zancrow narrowed his eyes, but then smirked. He walked forwards till he stood before the older man. "If that's your wish, I will gladly help you." The man just looked at Zancrow. Zancrow looked at all the warriors. "Kill them, kill them all!" He ordered. I paled. He just ordered to kill all these people. Women, children, ... I couldn't do it. Not a second later, all warriors followed Zancrow and started to kill the warriors. "No stop!" Yelled the older man. Zancrow laughed loud. He shifted in his wolf. "Too late old man!" He said and bit him in his neck. Women and children ran away from the place, trying to escape. "Kill them all! Barked Zancrow. I couldn't do it, I was frozen and saw how warriors murdered all these women and children.

I was brought back when I heard a scream. I looked back and two children ran into the woods. A brown wolf chased them. Before I knew, I ran after the brown wolf. The brown wolf almost bit one of the children, but I pinned him to the ground. The children looked with wide eyes at me. "Run!" I yelled while I held the brown wolf down. The children turned around and escaped. "You traitorous bitch!" The brown wolf growled and bit into my paw. I yelped and let the wolf go. He tried to attack me, but I was faster and dodged his attack. I jumped on his back and bit him hard in his back. He howled from the pain. Not a second later I was pinned down by two other wolfs. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Asked Zancrow. I growled and answered: "You're a monster! You just order us to murder all these women and children." He growled angry at me. "Let her go!" He said. The two wolf released me. Zancrow ran at me and pinned me down. "Looks like I need to teach you a lesson," he hissed. He bit hard in my back. I hissed from the pain and rolled over. Zancrow lost his grip and I escaped from him. My back bled hard, but I was ready to defend myself. All warriors formed a circle around us. Zancrow tried to pin me down, but I jumped back. He tried again, but this time I jumped also at him. But I bit him in his paw, before he could pin me down. He howled from the pain and hit me with his other claw. But I didn't let go and pushed him back against a warrior. He fell to the ground. I jumped on him and made with my claws big scratches on his back. He growled loud and barked: "Get her off me now!" Three warriors pushed me down on the ground. "You bitch!" Scolded Zancrow. "You will pay for this."

"What the is going on here?" Said suddenly a voice. I looked back and saw Ultear and Meredy. "Beta Milkovich," said Zancrow and bowed. The rest of the warriors followed. "Zancrow," why is their a bloodbath in that village?" Ultear asked. Zancrow stood up and answered: "They were against Alpha Hades and choose to die before they had to bow before Alpha Hades. So we helped them a bit." Ultear sighed. "You are unbelievable Zancrow. You know we have different methods to obey them, why kill them." Spoke Meredy this time. Zancrow growled. "Stop it Zancrow, you can explain it too Alpha Hades." She said. Zancrow paled a bit. But Ultear ignored him and looked at me. "And what do we have here?" She asked. "I wanted to teach her a lesson because, she helped some children escape. But she fought back." Zancrow answered angry. Ultear looked back at Zancrow with narrowed eyes. "You ordered them to kill all the children?" Zancrow was taken back by Ultear her angry words, but nodded. Ultear grabbed Zancrow by his collar and pushed him against a tree. "You are an idiot! You know we need new warriors, and these children are perfect. Why kill them!" Zancrow gulped. Ultear threw Zancrow on the ground. "Meredy, bring Zancrow back to the pack. Bring him to Alpha Hades." Ultear ordered. Meredy bowed and grabbed Zancrow by his sleeve. "Let's go." She said. Zancrow growled, but followed Meredy.

Ultear pinched the bridge of her nose. She looked back at me. "Bring her to dungeons. You will be punished there for fighting a Purgatory member." She said. I didn't reply and was escorted back to the pack. I was in the dungeon for two days, no food or water. After two days, Gamma Azuma came to me. "It's a shame Scarlet, you are one of our best fighters, and then you do this." He sighed. I didn't respond. "I know you don't want to become an elite warrior, but I have another job for you. With this job, you don't need to come with all the raids. Only when you really needed." I was interested and looked up. "You can become a mentor, teach some cubs the basics of fighting." I agreed with Azuma and became a mentor.

I was only once asked to join a raid, but for the rest they never asked me again.

It was quiet. Only the cracks of the fire filled the air. "I'm sorry," said suddenly Macbeth. I looked confused. "Why are you apologizing?" I asked. "Because we accused you as a murderer. But you rescued those two children." He explained. "Those two children are btw now safe," spoke Cobra. "We found them after the raid and brought them to the another pack." I smiled when I heard those two children were safe. "Can you forgive us for our rude words Scarlet?" Asked Richard this time. I smiled. "Of course, but can you guys forgive me too. I didn't kill anyone, I still helped to fight those warriors." This time Jellal spoke. "You did it to survive Erza, you are not a bad person. You helped those two children, and that's prove enough you are not a monster like most of those Grimoire Heart warriors." I had tears in my eyes and smiled. Jellal brought his forehead against mine. "You were never a monster Erza. You were and still are a fantastic woman. A woman, who I can call proudly my mate." He whispered. "Thank you," I answered crying.
