Chapter 63

Gray P.O.V.

I just couldn't believe my ears. Before stood Ultear Milkovich, who says she is the daughter of Ur.

Juvia was beside me and looked confused too.

Ultear sighs. "I know it's a lot to take in and you may not believe me but I know the real truth now." She said.

I raised a brow. "Please explain to us what you mean by that," spoke Gildarts this time. The rest of the pack was also there to listen to her story.

"I was still young when my village was attacked. It was a pack of rogues who attacked me. My mother, Ur told me to run and hide. I ran into the forest but was chased by other rogues. I escaped from them but was lost after the chase. Suddenly another rogue attacked me and would have killed me if Hades didn't stop him. That was the first time I met him." No one said a word.

"I explained what happened and we went back to the village. There was no one when we were arrived back. The village was on fire, bodies lay everywhere and I never knew what happened to my mother. Hades took me in and brought me with him to his pack." Ultear continued.

"Years passed while I lived in Grimoire Heart. I still had my hopes up my mother was still alive. But one day Hades came to me and told me they found my mother. I was excited to see her again of course, but Hades warned me she was dead. They brought me to her body and saw the claw marks. She was killed by another wolf. That was also the first time I smelled Fairy Tail scent." I had a feeling where this was going.

"Hades told me he found her in the middle of the forest. I was still young and trusted him so I believed what he all told me." She said ashamed. "Since than I hated every pack and was ready to get my revenge. Hades agreed and not few years later we attacked the Celestials." She ended.

We knew the rest of the story. But there were still a lot of question. "When did you figure out the whole truth?" Juvia asked this time. Ultear looked at Juvia. "Lucy was the one who told me the real truth." We were all frozen in place. "What, but how?" Asked Loke confused.

"I was there once in the room when Hades tortured her." She began. We all growled. She shrunk a bit, but continued her story. "In the middle of her story, she looked at me and that's when she used her link and told me one single name. My mother's name."

*Flashback*

I arrived at the cell in the middle of the night. She was awake when I stepped into the room. "Ultear," she said. I didn't say a thing. "I knew I remembered your name from somewhere." This time I asked her: "How do you know that name?" She smiled.

"She was your mother, am I right?" She asked. I just nodded. "When I was four years old, your mother came to my mother. Apparently they were friends from each other. She was talking about her foster children, but she also told us about you." This time I froze.

"She told me how she lost you after a rogue attack, but never found you. She knew you were still alive. She discovered the rogue attack was planned by a pack called Grimoire Heart. And she hoped you were there, that's why she had planned a meeting with Hades." Lucy explained. I was so loss at words.

The man that saved her life, brought her back to his pack and almost raised her further was the one behind the attack on her village. And he never told her he will meet up with her mother. "Haven't you figured it out yet Ultear?" Lucy asked bringing her out of her thoughts.

"This can't be," I whispered. "After the day she visited us, we got a message she was missing. Not three days later, Fairy Tail send us a message she was found dead." Lucy said. It was like my whole life was a lie, I just didn't know what to believe anymore. "But why did she smelled like Fairy Tail?" I asked desperate.
