Chapter 31

Natsu P.O.V.

I let Etherious take control over my body. "Get him buddy," I said. He just chuckled and was ready for Laxus. Laxus jumped at me, but Etherious was faster and dodged the attack. He counterattacked and hit Laxus in his face. Laxus shook his head and narrowed his eyes. His eyes were filled with fire.

"Be careful Etherious, you know Laxus his tiger is the fastest in this pack if he is serious." I warned Etherious. "I know, that's why we need to act quick." He replied. Etherious jumped forwards and bite into Bolt his paw. Bolt was Laxus his wolf. Bolt growled loud and I saw he was now serious. "Be prepared buddy," I said. Not a second later, Bolt was beside us and rammed us. We hit the ground hard and tried to get up. But Bolt was faster and jumped on us. He bit hard in our back. Etherious whimpered.

The crowd around us was yelling and barking. "Come on Natsu," said Gildarts. "Get up brother," yelled Wendy. Etherious was struggling to get up. "Giving up Dragneel?" Laxus laughed. "Etherious stay calm, use your head." I said. But the pain in our back became painfuller. "Roll over Natsu." Said suddenly a voice. I took back control over my body and looked back. I saw Lucy, she had a concerned look on her face. "Roll over Natsu," she said again. I nodded and rolled over. With my paw, I hit Laxus in his flank. My sharp claws made a nasty scar in his flank. Laxus backed away. "Quick Etherious, before he can counterattack." I said. Etherious took back over my body and sprinted at Laxus. He tackled Laxus and bit in his neck. Laxus growled from the pain and tried to escape, but Etherious held him in position. "Don't kill him Etherious," I warned. He sighed, but agreed.

"Give up Laxus." I said. "Give up, or die here." Said Etherious this time. Laxus growled. "Never, this pack has to change. And with you as Alpha, we are weak." He said. I scoffed. "Laxus, being an alpha is not about power. This pack is one big family, the alpha just leads the big family. He makes sure everyone is ok, that the pack is safe for enemy's, and many other tasks." I explained. Members of the pack agreed with me.

Laxus narrowed his eyes, but gave in and almost whispered: "I give up." By those words, I let him go and backed away. "And the winner is Alpha Dragneel!" Spoke Gildarts loud.

Third P.O.V.

Everyone cheered loud. "Good work buddy," Natsu praised his wolf. Etherious just chuckled. Natsu knew he was exhausted. Suddenly a warm feeling embraced him. He looked back and saw some blond hair. Lucy hugged him from behind. "I knew you could do it." She whispered. Natsu smiled and turned around. He hugged her back. I kissed the top of her head. "Thank you, for being here with me." Natsu whispered. She looked up and smiled. "Great job flame brain," said Gray suddenly and gave a smack on Natsu his back. He hissed from the pain. "Gray, be careful." Said Lucy. "Sorry man," apologized Gray. "It's okay," Natsu grinned. "Well done Alpha," said Gildarts. More members of the pack went to Natsu to congratulate him.

Meanwhile Laxus sat still on the ground. No one came to him or dared to come close to him. He had some scars and bruises, but not that bad. "Laxus?" asked a soft voice. Laxus looked up and saw Mira, his mate. "Hey," he said and looked down. Mira knelt down before him and brought both her hands against his cheeks. She guided him so he looked at her. This time Laxus saw some tears in Mira her eyes. "Please Laxus," she sobbed. Laxus was stunned when he saw Mira her tears. "Please understand why you can't be a Alpha. Just stop, maybe you can stay. Maybe Natsu can forgive you and you can stay, because I can't live without you. But, I also can't leave my family and friends here. I just don't know what to do, I want to support you Laxus, but on the other side this is my family and everything! I..." But Mira was interrupted when Laxus removed Mira her tears with his fingers. He brought her closer to him and kissed her. Mira was frozen for a second, but kissed him back. "I am so sorry Mira," Laxus said. "I didn't know how hurt you was because of me. Forgive me." Mira leaned against his chest. "I was never mad at you Laxus, I just didn't know what to do." She explained.

Lucy saw the whole conversation between them and smiled sad. "What are you going to do Lucy?" Asked a voice. She looked back and saw Erza. "I just can't separate them Erza. Having a mate is the most amazing thing in the world, separate them from each other is just like dead." Erza nodded, she doesn't had a mate but knew what Lucy said when she saw her and Natsu together.

Before she could reply, the crowd went silent. Natsu stood before Laxus, together with Gildarts and Loke. "Laxus Dreyar," began Natsu. Laxus stood up, still holding Mira against him. "You fought well, but you lost. You have 24hours the time to get your stuff, saying goodbye to everyone and leave our land. After those 24hours, you will be seen as an enemy." Natsu ended. Members nodded with Natsu his words and growled satisfied. Mira her eyes widened. She stepped forwards and knelt down on her knees. "Please Alpha, I beg you. Please don't banish him, he is my mate. I don't know if I can survive without him." She begged, tears streaming over cheeks. "Mira," Laxus whispered. Natsu his heart clenched. He didn't want to do this, but it was the agreement when this fight was over. "I'm sorry Mira, but he agreed with this." Natsu said with a sad face. Mira couldn't breathe, like her world faded away. She cried hard. Natsu looked down. Also other members looked away, or didn't know what to say. The raijinshuu also looked down. Lissana had also tears in her eyes and she sobbed in Bickslow his chest.

"Natsu," said Lucy. Everyone looked at the blonde Luna. Natsu looked up by hearing her voice. She stood before him and looked straight at him. "We can't banish him," she said. Mira looked surprised up, also Laxus froze by Lucy her words. Members growled or were against Lucy her decision. "Luna, we can't let him stay. He almost killed you!" Said a warrior. "Yeah, he even brought the younger trainees in danger." Filled in another warrior. "He only thinks about power!" Said a woman this time. Everyone talked or shouted against each other. Some people agreed with Lucy, while others were against her. "Luce, are you sure?" Natsu asked through the link. She didn't reply, but just nodded. Lucy turned around and her eyes went gold for a second. "Quiet!" She ordered loud. All wolves went silent immediately. "You are right, Laxus made some mistakes here. And he only thinks about power," Began Lucy loud so everyone could hear her. "But, he is a loyal member of this pack, this family." Laxus looked with big eyes at Lucy. Mira grabbed his hand and listened also closely to Lucy her words. "But ask me this question: If we separate Laxus from his mate, Mira. Can you call us than a family? Because family don't say such things, we support each other. Yes, we have fights and arguments. Some are bigger than other ones, but in the end we are still a family." Members looked down, they knew what Lucy meant with those words. "So, in stead of fighting and discussing a banishment, why not forgive each other. I know it's not easy, but I forgive Laxus. He will receive another punishment for his actions, but he can stay from me." Finished Lucy and waited for a response.

"Seriously Lucy, why are you so wise." Joked Natsu and brought her against him. "We are lucky you are our Luna, otherwise we made a lot of mistakes." He chuckled. Lucy giggled. "No, seriously Luce. You always thinks ahead of us, and brings us back on the right path. Thank you," He said and kissed her forehead. Lucy blushed. Natsu turned back to the crowd. "I, Natsu Dragneel, Alpha of Fairy Tail agreed with my Luna, Lucy Heartfilia to let Laxus Dreyar stay in Fairy Tail." From the moment Mira heard those words, she tackled Laxus on the ground and cried from relief. "Thank goodness, you can stay." Than she kissed him hard and passionate. Laxus smiled and kissed Mira back.

Then, he walked forwards till he stood before Lucy and Natsu. He knelt before them. Some members his mouth were wide open, because this was the first time Laxus knelt before someone. "I don't know what to say Luna, I'm just grateful because you gave me a chance to stay by my mate. Natsu grinned, while Lucy smiled. "I'm glad you're back the old one Laxus." Said Natsu. Laxus looked serious, but after a few seconds he smirked. "I was never gone Alpha, just lost." He answered.

Lucy was tackled by a crying Mira. "Thank you so much Luna, for everything." Lucy smiled and brought Mira in a hug and patted her back. "You're welcome Mira." Members shook hands or a shoulder pat with Laxus, while Erza was talking with Mira. Natsu walked to Lucy and grabbed her by her waist. "You are an amazing Luna, did I already tell that." He whispered in her ear. Lucy giggled. "Yeah, now for the third time," she replied. Natsu kissed Lucy her cheek and grinned. "It's still not enough." He grinned. Lucy chuckled. "Idiot," she said. Natsu grinned. "But I'm your idiot." He joked. "Yeah, my idiot mate." Lucy said and brought him in a passionate kiss. Natsu gladly returned the kiss.

After a few minutes Natsu called loud: "Okay everyone, back to work. Let's clean and repair everything!" All the crowd gathered together, also Mira and Laxus and replied loud: "Yes Alpha!"
