Chapter 36

Sarah POV-

My eyes bolted open at the sound of my boyfriends voice. "Ross?!" I questioned weakly. "Hey beautiful." I heard him say. I saw him with a bandaid on his inner arm, and he was holding a bouquet of flowers and a teddy bear holding a heart saying, "I love you."

I started tearing up at the sight, mostly because I saw my boyfriend just feet away from me. I wanted to get up, jump into his arms kiss him. But I knew I couldn't.

"Come here." Is all I managed to say. He smiled, and approached me. His arms wrapped around my weak body, and squeezed me lightly. I pulled back, then leaned into his lips. I kissed him, but it wasn't like an ordianary kiss. It meant something to me. Yes, every kiss does, but this had something.. More to it.

We soon pulled back for air, and I felt our noses brush eachother's. "Did you feel that too?" He whispered. He felt it too. I knew it was special. I nodded my head, then he placed my gifts on the night stand next to me.

"You didn't have to get me those." I said. He shrugged. "I felt like it." He simply said.

I completely forgot, riker was also in the room. "Rik, where's Ashley? She's been gone for a half an hour now." I asked him. He shrugged. "Oh no.." I mumbled. "What?" He asked. He must've heard me. I just looked at him with a blank expression, then soon, his expression changed from confused, to scared.

"This can't be happening, no it can't." He said out loud. "Riker, I'm just as worried as you are, but we can't-" I started, but he cut me off. "I'm going to find her." He said, then ran out of the room.

"W-what's going on?" Ross asked. "Ashley and Rik found Amanda outside the hospital, and Ashley went to go get me some lunch and... I think you can connect the puzzle pieces from there." I explained. He nodded this head. "Do you want me to go look with riker?" He asked. "No," I said as I grabbed his hand. "I can't lose you."

He nodded his head, then sat in the seat riker was sitting in. We sat in silence for a while, hand in hand, until the nurse walked in. "Sarah, we are going to give you the blood this young man donated to you now." She explained. I nodded my head. "Excuse me, can u step out of the room?" She asked, directing the question to Ross. He nodded his head, quickly kissed my forehead, then walked out of the room.

"Squeeze this." She said. I did as she said and squeezed the object she placed in my hand. She put numbing medicine on my inner arm, then placed the IV in my arm.

"So if your going to fall asleep soon. But, when you wake up, your going to feel much better." She explained.

"Ok. Thank you very much." I said. She just nodded her head. "All set." She said as she taped the IV to my arm. Already I felt sleepy. "Thanks again!" I sleepily said. "No problem. Get some rest." She ordered. I managed to nod my head, then I closed my eyes, and slumber took over me.
