Chapter 49

Sarah POV-

Ross and looked out the window, and saw Amanda and Kelsea leaning against their car.. I think.

I looked at Ross. "Well?" He asked me. "Let's go." I replied, then we walked out of the house.

"About time." Kelsea said as she saw us. "Listen, don't hurt us." Ross said. "We aren't armed." Kendyll snapped. "Ok well what do you want?" I snapped back. "Just giving you a warning," Kelsea said. "We are going to the Military Weapons lab to advance our skills. We might even steal some. So just warning you."

"Why are you even warning us? You don't care about me anyways." I hissed. As soon as I said that I immediately took it back. She then approached me, a mean look appeared on her friends.

"Listen, just because I'm helping her doesn't mean I don't care about you anymore." She whispered sincerely. I looked at her, and nodded my head.

What does that mean? Is she only helping her to help me?

"We're leaving!" Kendyll shouted as she climbed into the car. "Bye, Sarah." Kelsea said, then climbed into the car next to Amanda.

I looked at Ross. "Ross," I said. "Did you hear what she said?"

He nodded his head, his expression on his face blank. Probably still taking in all of the information that was said.

"So what should we do?" I asked. "We have to be prepared. Do whatever it takes." He said

"Should we tell the others?" I asked. "We have to. What if they get hurt?" He asked. "That's true." I said, "Well, let's go."

We walked back inside hand in hand, and saw Rocky, and another random girl. "Who's this?" I asked. Rocky's head turned to me. "Oh hey! And Sarah this is Nikki." He said. "Hi! Nice to meet you!" I greeted her. "Nice to meet you too!" She replied. "Uh, Rocky? Can I talk to you real quick?" I asked. He nodded, then followed me down the hall.

"Rocky, I don't think it's a good idea to have a girlfriend right now." I said after we stopped. "Why not?" He asked. "I.. I can't tell you right now." I said, looking at my feet.

"Great. Every time I try to get a girlfriend, something happens. Well lot this time. I going to keep Nikki because she is too important to me, whether you like it or not." He said, then marched off.

"Rocky wait!" I yelled, but he just left me alone, standing there in the hallway.
