I opened the door and ran after him. His hand rested on the doorknob. He was about to leave.
"Grayson" I called, placing my hand on his shoulder.
He pushed my hand off, making me flinch as he turned around.
My heart dropped to the ground when I saw his face.
Tears streaming down his cheeks. Jaw was clenched and his hands were balled into fists.
"I'm-"
"Save it Raine, I don't wanna hear anymore lies." He sighed, relaxing his hands and shaking his head in disbelied.
He turned around, about to turn the doorknob.
"Grayson, please! Listen to me! It was not what you think it was!"
He flared his nostrils and pushed me against the wall.
"What the fuck do you think I am Raine?! Dumb? I fucking know what I saw!" He raised his voice at me.
I cried as I watched him in fear. He walked around, his gaze low as he breathed in and out heavily, controlling his anger.
"Listen," He sighed, cooling the town of his voice.
"I gave you everything, Raine. Everything I had. I fought for you. I even changed for you. But clearly all of that wasn't enough. All this time, I thought you loved me. Now looking back at it, I was such a fool for thinking that way." He threw a fake chuckle, shaking his head.
"Gray" I sobbed.
"Just fucking leave. I don't wanna see your goddamned face again." He spat with venom.
My sobs were uncontrollable. Uneven.
I didn't know what to say, and there was no way to explain this to him. I knew it was over between us.
Ethan arrived seconds after Grayson yelled. Calling after him.
"And you" He pointed at Ethan. "How fucking could you" He spat through greeted teeth and threw a punch at Ethan, making him stumble back.
"Let me explain goddamn it!" Ethan raised his voice louder at him and pushed him back.
Grayson's breathing was uneven. His eyes burnt with anger and hatred towards us both.
"Raine and I.. had a deal" Ethan explained slowly, standing in front of me. Shielding me from the monster I created.
He was not the Grayson I knew anymore. The way he talked and the way he acted.
I changed him. And this, was my fault too.
He scoffed. "So not only my fucking girlfriend cheated on me with my twin brother, but she had been lying to me too" He faked a grin, raising his voice even louder.
"Great Ethan. Thank you for letting me know bro." He shook his head in disbelief.
Ethan grabbed Grayson's shoulder to stop him from leaving, only to be punched by Grayson another time.
"Grayson, stop, please" I cried.
"Don't you fucking touch me!" He yelled, kicking Ethan in the stomach.
"What is going on in here?!" Lisa came down the stairs with Sean with shock plastered on their faces.
"Grayson!" Sean yelled, separating the twins.
They both sent glares at each other, before Grayson sighed.
"Ask your son." He faked smiled and left, slamming the door shut.
I cried louder, as I fell on my knees. Although, I had no right to cry. I deserved this.
