I did not realize I had fallen asleep in Grayson's car until the next morning. But I was already dressed, and Grayson was already awake.

I noticed the engine was alive, as the car was moving forward. My eyes squinted at the brightness, while I yawned, stretching my arms a little.

He took a quick glance at me as I saw the corner of his lip twitch upward before he turned his head back to look at the road again.

"Goodmorning, sleeping beauty" He greeted.

I blushed at his comment and looked through the window. "Where are we going?"

"Just somewhere." He said, eyes not leaving the road.

"You do know I hate surprises don't you?" I told him, earning a small giggle from him. Music I missed hearing.

"I do" He smiled, and held the steering wheel with one hand only. I observed his arms again, examining his every tattoo.

I bit my lower lip and brushed my finger tips across his the drawings on his skin, from his shoulder all the way down to his wrists.

I felt small valleys on his skin, and my gaze rose up to meet his. They had guilt in them. He looked away quickly and focused back on the road, clearing his throat.

"This was because of me, wasn't it" I muttered.

I noticed his jaw clench and unclench repeatedly. But he stayed silent. He didn't answer my question, or the following one.

"What about these?" I said, running my fingers through the scars on his knuckles.

He just shook his head, and let out a small sigh. "I didn't know how to move on from you Raine" The car stopped at a red light. The perfect opportunity for Grayson to turn his head to look at me.

"Did you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow up at me.

I was left speechless too. The truth was, I didn't. I was so miserable. So damn vulnerable without him. Endless thoughts and cries. Nightmares. Depression. Anxiety. Emptyness.

And suicidal thoughts.

"That's why Ethan and I went to London, for a little vacation."

"Only the two of you?" He asked, almost through gritted teeth.

"Jack came with us"

"What about the rest? Dom? Michelle? Luke?" He asked, getting pissed.

"Luke's apparently dead. And I think Dom and Michelle are too" I mumbled. His face fell and softened as he uncomfortably turned his head back to the road.

"I'm sorry" He muttered.

I ignored his words and looked away, only watching houses and the trees through the window. Silence invaded the car then. Neither of us dared to say a word until we arrived.

I could feel he felt bad for mentioning them and I could feel tears on the verge of rolling down my eyes.

We got out of the car and walked up towards a small hill.

"This is it" Grayson muttered. He looked down, then at me and raised his eyebrows, waiting to see my reaction.

My eyes fell in love with the view almost instantly. We could see the city from up here. London bridge and a small lake not too far away from where we were.

"Do you like it?" He asked, lightly biting his lower lip.

I nodded, and cracked a small smile. "I missed these kind of things."

"Look, I'm sorry about earlier." He said. I gave him a reassuring smile and shook my head. "Just forget about it"

He slowly moved and took my hand, intertwining my fingers with his. He smiled, and I smiled back at him.

"You know, if you really want to run away, we could. We could leave everything and everyone behind. Even the past" He offered, rubbing the back of my hand gently with his thumb.

I took a deep breath and contemplated the view, thinking about him and Ethan.

I loved them both. How could I ever let go of one?
