should i go for more clicks this year,
or should i follow the click in my ear?
i'll admit, this poetry collection used
to get more views. more views, likes,
comments - the works. but, as a person,
i am constantly growing and evolving
and changing my mind about things
and second-guessing and doubting
myself - it's who i am. this little
book of words i've written is mine
and mine alone.
i could write what everyone else is
writing and try to get more views
and likes and comments - the
works. but instead, i'm going to
write what i want to write, my
personal truths, the click in my
ear and my head and my heart,
instead of searching for more
clicks, and be thankful for
whoever decides that this book
is worth their time.
i'll probably end up deleting and
editing things and changing my
cover page one hundred more
times, but this book, like me,
is constantly under construction.
should i go for more clicks this year,
