i'm young and bored.
aren't all young people bored?
all itching for freedom,
itching for lives we see in movies
and read in stories and hear in songs.
itching for experiences
and adventures.
i'm young and bored,
and i find myself wishing that
i had more interesting things to write
but i've barely lived a life at all
and all i have to write about
are my darkest thoughts
or my brighter days
or my newfound philosophies...
i'm young and bored,
and i hope that once i have
traveled and loved and lost and learned
my writing will improve
and be full of life and stories and truths
and things that don't just
come from inside my head,
i want my writing to be alive.
i want to be alive.
i'm young and i'm bored.
aren't all young people bored?
