I only arrived the next day when the sun was already high up in the sky. I knew Bradley was going to have a hissy fit when I showed up, but that's his own fault. My stomach grumbled, I was starving. Looking down at my hands I grimaced as I tried rubbing the blood from my hands. That forest is never going to be the same again, nothing is ever the same after Grey was there. My wolf chuckled and I rolled my eyes.
It was a good thing I let her out yesterday she was extremely pent up and anxious. I rolled my shoulders just as I walked over the hill and saw the pack house in the distance. A few people were enjoying the sunlight but as I neared they fled to the pack house. Rolling my eyes, I walked in and past everyone.
"Dakota where were you?" Emily asked as she gently took hold of my elbow.
"Uh I went for a run and did a bit of hunting" I smiled.
"Hunting? It looks like you've been in a full blown war" she chuckled and I nodded.
"It was something like that" I smiled.
"Have you seen Tessa? Her mom wants to talk to her about her and Matthew's acceptance ceremony" she grinned.
"Uh, no I just got home" I apologized and she frowned.
"How come your clothes aren't torn but they're covered in blood?" She asked and I froze.
"Uh, I tried cleaning myself after the hunt but it didn't work" I lied and she chuckled.
"Yeah blood stains are a bitch" she smiled and I nodded.
"Yeah, tell me about. Talking about bloodstains excuse me while I go wash all this off" I smiled and she nodded. I walked past her and up the stairs. Nearly, nearly, walking into Bradley.
"Where were you?" He hissed as he grabbed the front of my shirt and dragged me into our bedroom.
"I went for a run" I said.
"In wolf form?" He snapped.
"No, in bunny form, yes, duh in wolf form" I rolled my eyes.
"What were you thinking someone could have seen you!" He snapped pacing up and down.
"Chill I wasn't on pack grounds" I said and he burst a vein.
"You were what!" He growled.
"Not on your territory"
"You-"
"I'm back aren't I?" I snapped and he narrowed his eyes at me.
"Why are you covered in blood?" He sighed.
"I vaguely remember a deer, an elk, maybe a boar. Two elk, there were two elk" I said.
"You did all that in one night? On your own?" He askes shocked.
"Yeah, that tends to happen when you lock your wolf up for three years" I snapped and he narrowed his eyes at me.
"I do it-"
"So that I remain a secret, I know. Can I go shower now?" I rolled my eyes and he snarled. "Thanks" I said and walked off.
"You're heat starts in a few weeks" he said and I nodded.
"If I tell everyone to stay inside at night and let Grey out will you promise to not destroy everything?" He asked.
"No, not on my heats. She's to out of control. Maybe if I were marked the effects wouldn't have been as severe but I can't risking her to go out" I said and he nodded his eyes blank.
"Oh" was all he said.
"Thanks for offering though" I smiled and closed the bathroom door behind me.
