"Doc, I thought she's okay? What the hell happened?!" I'm beyond more frantic because the Doctor says that Natalie Ross will deliver anytime soon.
"Calm down, sir. There are this situations that happens. And we are looking for it." Kalmadong sabi ng doktor sa harap niya.
"How can I fcking calm down when my wife is in that state?!"
He's nervous. Oo at kabuwanan na ni Natalie Ross but they are both shocked na imbis tubig ang lumabas dugo.
The doctor sighed.
"Sir, this is just one of many cases that happens when women do labors."
He know. He knows that maybe it is overacting but what can he do? The scream of Natalie Ross was still clear on his mind.
They were at the house. Normal days because he filed a paternity leave. He was downstairs making food for their lunch. Mark is at his side when they heard Natalie screamed. He immediately go up and saw her at the bathroom standing with blood on her legs.
He was back to his senses when someone tug his shirt. He looked down and saw his son. He holds his little hands and he looked at his eyes.
"I'm scared, daddy. Don't shout." He mumbled.
He kissed his forehead.
"I'm sorry. I was just worried.. and nervous, son."
Tinignan naman siya nito at niyakap.
"Mom is going to be okay, right, dad? And my little sister?" Mahinang sambit nito.
He smiled.
"Little sister?" He asked.
"So, you want a baby girl?" Tanong niya. His son and Natalie is his lifeline. If one day they disappear he wouldn't know what will he do or what will happen to him. It will be miserable as hell.
Before his life was just like a plain black and white canvass. Dull, gloomy, and lifeless. But now it's different. They gave color to that lifeless canvass and it was way more beyond beautiful.
"Yes." He nodded and lips quirking up a little. "I want a little sister where we can play in a sandbox on the playground. And i'll teach her and tell her based on what I've read on my books!"He smiled because he can see that his son will be a good brother. He ruffled his hair.
"Let's wait for it. Okay?" Tumango naman ito at saka ngumiti.
Mahigit dalawang oras narin silang nasa labas ng kanyang anak. Naka-tulog na nga ito. Nakaunan sa mga hita niya. He was just touching his hair. He also mumbles a prayer even before they arrive at the hospital.
"Hijo/Son." He turned his gaze to the voices he heard. It was her mother with her father. And so as Natalie's parents.
He sighed and just greeted them.
"How's my daughter?"
He cleared his throat before answering Natalie's dad.
"Uhm. The doctors are still inside. We are still waiting for it." Sabi niya rito.
