Licht Jekylland Todoroki - Happy Birthday

You didn't really like today, mostly because of you having a horrible and slow day. But, then you remembered, today was (B/D)... Your birthday. You didn't like your birthday, at all... You usually spent your birthday alone since you were a little girl. But you decided to make yourself a little happy on your birthday. You went to a bakery and got yourself a slice of cake, when you got home, you pulled it out of the bag and put it down gently on a small plate placed on th table.

You dug through an overflowing drawer, in search of matches and a candle. When you found both of the items, you stuck the skinny little candle into the cake and struck a match. You lit the wick of the candle and snuffed out the match, then sitting down at the table in your dark little apartment and staring at the cake. You wanted to invite your childhood friend, Licht Jekylland Todoroki, to your apartment today. But you thought he was kind of wrapped up in his career, so you didn't bother to call him up. You actually haven't talked to him in a month since he's been in concerts and such. It also didn't help because you started having a crush on him for a few years now.

The candle flickered in the darkness, an orange glow lighting up your face. You thought of a wish as you continued to stare at it.

I wish, You thought. That someone would be willing to talk to me on lonely days like this.

You took a deep breath and blew out the candle, the room becoming darker as the flame died and the smoke rose. You turned on a light in the kitchen, and ate the cake slice... Alone. After you ate the cake, you put the little dish it was sitting on in the sink and crashed onto the couch and grabbing a novel to read.

Thirty minutes later, you were about twenty pages in when you heard your doorbell ring. You closed the book and sat it down on the coffee table, making your way to the door. You grabbed the doorknob and opened it to see Licht standing outside in the darkness of the night.

"Licht?" You addressed him. "Shouldn't you be with Kranz practicing or something...?"

Licht tilted his head to the side, as if he didn't understand. "I came here to see you, obviously." He stated matter-of-factly. You noticed he was holding something behind his back as you let him inside. You gestured for him to sit down and he did so, you poured him and yourself a cup of tea and set them down on the table.

"So," You said. "How was your con-"

You were interrupted as he held out a messily-wrapped gift to you. "Happy Birthday." He said.

"Thank you." You took the gift from him and opened it, it was a book. You wanted this book for a long time, and Licht knew that you wanted to read it.

"But, why did-" You started.

"Because you're my friend, (Y/N)," Licht told you. "I know that you sometimes spend your birthdays alone so..." His face started flushing pink, as if he was embarrassed to see you on your birthday. You moved closer to him on the couch and hugged him, he tensed up, but then he began to relax and he hugged you back.

"Thank you so much, Licht," You thanked him.

"It's my job as an angel to make people happy." He stated stoically.

"Uh... Sure, Licht."

You two began talking for two hours at that point, you ranting about your horrible day, and him ranting on how annoying his servamp, Lawless, is. After a while, he summoned his piano and played 'Happy Birthday', with you giving him a pat on the back for his great playing. Thirty minutes later, Licht glanced at his watch and his eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

"I have to go now," He told. "Sorry I couldn't stay longer."

"It's fine," You reassured him as you opened the door for him. "Besides, it's pretty late and Kranz will probably think you died or something."

"I'm an angel, so he shouldn't have to be worrying about me dying," He said. "And neither should you."

"Okay," You told him. "Good night." You began to close the door, but Licht stopped you.

"Actually," He continued as you opened the door again. "I forgot to give you something."

"Uh, okay..." You said. Licht took a few steps closer to you, he bent down and put his lips on yours. You were shocked as your cheeks turned red, but then you began to kiss him back. When he pulled away from you, he turned around keeping his face away from you.

"I like you, (Y/N)," Licht confessed.

"... I like you too, Licht." You told him. He turned his head in shock, as he did you saw his cheeks dusted with pink. But he turned his face back into the direction his body was facing and walked away, waving to you from behind.

"Good night, Book Worm," He shouted.

"Good night, Piano Dork."
