Kuro - Be Careful

Sleepy Ash only had one subclass, that was you. You didn't really mind being his only subclass, but you barely ever saw him. Lately, you've been collecting information about Tsubaki and his subclasses for Sleepy Ash. But even though he asked you to collect the information, he never really seemed to care.

Today, you had gotten more information and brought it to Kuro. After you told him everything, you began to get ready to leave, but he grabbed you by the arm.

"Be careful," He muttered to you. You nodded and left out the front door of his eve's home. You turned down the corner, and you immediately felt someone watching you. You began to walk faster and farther away from Kuro's home, and you just walked around randomly. But then felt a sharp pain in your back, you looked behind you and saw another vampire had stabbed you.

"Well," You scoffed. "That was very rude of you, sir."

You grabbed the vampire by his hair and flipped him over your shoulder, he fell hard onto the ground. He got up tried to cut you again, but it only grazed your cheek as you dodge and wrapped your weapon, a chain, around his ankle. You pulled on the chain with all your might and swung him around, he went flying into the building on the left side of the street.

"That's payback for stabbing me!" You yelled to the vampire. But when the dust cleared up, he was nowhere to be seen. You scanned around for him, then you felt something jump on top of you. The vampire was standing on your back, pointing a sword at you. He yanked your chains out of your hands and threw them far away.

"It would make your life a lot easier if you just give up," He taunted.

"In your wildest dreams." You shot back.

He aimed his sword above your heart, you closed your eyes and waited for the pain, but it never came. You opened your eyes to see Kuro and his eve Mahiru fighting the vampire off, the vampire started running away when he saw Kuro.

"Kuro, let's go after him!" Mahiru ordered.

"Too much work," Ash replied to his eve lazily.

"You're so lazy!" Mahiru yelled.

You got up off the ground and brushed the dirt from your clothes. "Thanks, Ash," You told him. "I owe you one."

"You're just as troublesome as this one." Kuro stated, pointing at Mahiru. Kuro than fell to the ground as if he was paralyzed. "I'm tired, can one of you carry me home?" Mahiru started scolding him and calling him lazy as he turned into his cat form. You walked over to your servamp and picked him up, cradling him in your arms.

The three of you walked back to their home and stayed cautious in case another subclass came around. Mahiru told you good night and went inside, while Kuro stayed outside with you.

"Thanks again," You told him. "For saving me."

"Oh, it was nothing, (Y/N)," He said. "Just me being your average, friendly neighborhood vampire, that's all." You laughed awkwardly at his statement.

"Just be more careful, 'kay?" He instructed.

"Got it," You agreed, you then spread out your arms. "I'm going to hug you know, okay?"

Kuro stared blankly at you, obviously confused. You walked up to him and hugged him tightly, you felt him tense up. But after awhile, he hugged you back. You let go, but then he grabbed your hand again, giving you a sincere look.

"(Y/N)," He addressed you solemnly.

"Yeah?"

"Can you open the door for me?" He asked while pointing at the door. You sighed and shook your head.

"You need to learn how to do that stuff for yourself." You told him.

"You won't hold the door open for a cute little kitten?" He stated while turning into a cat again. "You're so mean, (Y/N)."

 "Don't act like a cute, defenseless cat when I know you're a vampire," You said as you opened the door for him anyway. "Just get in there, you goof ball." He padded in there, his little cat bell jingling as he walked.

"Be safe getting home," He remarked in his cat form. "Shouldn't need to save your butt again."

"Shut up, fur ball." You teased as you closed the door. You then wondered something, did he feel the same way? He was worried about you, you've never seen him like that before. He usually seemed so indifferent about everything around him all the time, or that's what you thought. The thought took over your mind as you walked home in complete darkness.
