You ran around the castle looking for your friend, Ophelia. Ophelia was the princess of the kingdom you lived in, she was very kind to everyone. What many people didn't know about her, is that she was the eve of the Servamp of Greed, Lawless. You and Lawless never really got along, which caused you to give him the nickname 'crab cake'. But when it came to something serious, you and Lawless could get over your feuds. Even though you fought a lot, the only reason you tease him was because of a minor crush you had on him.

"Ophelia," You called. "Where are you?"

"Why weren't you watching her?!" Lawless shouted.

"I'm not her babysitter, Crab Cake!" You shot back. You two started to get into an argument when you heard the leaves rustle in the trees above.

"Take two steps back!" You heard a voice order. Lawless takes two steps backwards as Ophelia falls from the tree and into his arms. "Nice catch." She says.

Ophelia gets off of Lawless, holding a big fruit from the tree. Two excited, bright-eyed children ran to Ophelia, praising her for her getting the fruit. She gave them the fruit, the children then ran away, thanking her. You three spent the rest of the day together in the forest, until the sun began to set.

"We have to get back to the castle, (Y/N)," She told you.

"So am I escorting you, or is Crab Cake going to take you?" You ask.

"Quit calling me Crab Cake."

"No."

You walk back to the castle, Ophelia and Lawless flying above you. As you all got back to the castle, Ophelia said she wanted to talk to you alone and dismissed Lawless. You wondered what she wanted ask as Lawless shut the door on his way out.

"So," You began. "What's so important that you had to send Crab Cake away?"

"(Y/N)," She addressed you. "We are going to war."

"What?"

"Another kingdom has declared war on us."

Your shock was visible on your face as your mouth began to hang open. Ophelia smiles at your reaction, almost as if amused.

"What are we going to do?" You questioned.

"The kingdom and I made an agreement though," She explained. "I'm going to get married to the kingdom's prince." She said all of this with a smile on her face, is this really what she wanted? To waste away in a loveless marriage away from her home and family? You knew Lawless was not going to react to this positively, you could read him like a book. You could tell he was in love with Ophelia. You didn't like this either, Ophelia deserved so much more for her kindness. She helped you escape your abusive family and let you become her lady in waiting, you thought that because she was your savior, she deserved more than this.

"Is this... Really what you want, Ophelia?" You ask.

"All I want is peace, (Y/N)," Ophelia told you, embracing you. "I want a place where all people can be safe, a place where you and Lawless are safe."

"But-"

"My happiness means nothing to me," She interrupted you. "I will always choose my people's happiness over mine. (Y/N), please don't tell Lawless, I will tell him."

You agreed with her quietly as you left the room, shutting the door gently. "So, what were you two talking about?" Lawless asked you teasingly. You turned your head to face him, tears spilling from your eyes. "Whoa, what happened?"

"Ophelia wants to talk to you."

Ophelia was married to the prince for a short time, until she was executed. She asked every citizen of each city before her execution to not hate anymore, to accept peace. After her death, you left the city, you hated being there after she died. You were taken in by C3 as an experiment, they did unspeakable things to you. Because of all the experiments, you were turned into something similar to a vampire. You were immortal like a vampire, but you didn't need blood to live and your eyes weren't red, they were the same (E/C) they've always been. As you spent time in the prison known as C3, you hoped Lawless would come and save you, but he never came.

You slightly envied Ophelia, she had his heart in her hands. You wished he loved you like Ophelia, he's probably still mourning over her. But, you know you can never change his mind. Seventy years after her death, you escaped C3 and went back to Ophelia's kingdom... But it was in ruins. It was annihilated by a neighboring country.

The peace Ophelia wanted was destroyed.

237 years later

It's 2017, exactly two-hundred-and thirty-seven years after you escaped C3. But now, there was another enemy to face. The eighth servamp, Tsubaki, was coming after the Servamps. His subclasses attacked you once or twice, so you teamed up with the Servamp of Sloth and his eve, Mahiru Shirota. Today, you were informed by The Servamp of Pride that there was someone attacking subclasses, so you, Mahiru, and Kuro decided to chase after him.

As you and Mahiru were following him, a boy with black hair and a white back-pack with wings, you noticed he was carrying a little animal in a cage as he turned the corner. He discovered you and Mahiru and began to fight Kuro, you jumped up on the roof to follow them as Mahiru flew up on his broom. Mahiru began to question the boy.

"Why do you have a servamp in cage?!" He yelled at the boy.

"You can have it," The boy said in a monotone voice. "To be honest, I've been trying to get rid of him." The boy kicked the little cage and a little hedgehog came flying out and transformed into a human. No, it couldn't be...!

"'For thou art is glorious to this night being are my head as a winged messenger of heaven'." He quoted. "By Shakespeare." He turned around and faced you and the others. He adjusted his glasses and grinned mischievously. "I'm the Fifth Servamp, Lawless of Greed. You can call me Lawly, or leading men, or whatever you like!"

He walked over to the boy and pointed at him, babbling on and on about his eve, Licht Jekylland Todoroki. You didn't really listen to it all, you just stared in disbelief, while Mahiru and Kuro looked really confused. You meet him again after three-hundred and seven years, you haven't seen him since C3 took you away. But now he was here. You snapped your attention back to the conversation, you realized that Lawless was taunting Kuro. Saying things that didn't really make sense.

"Should we kill Tsubaki or leave him alone?" Lawless taunted. "Let's take a majority vote, shall we?" The two vampires looked like they were getting ready to kill each other until you stood between them.

"Okay, that's enough," You told Lawless as Mahiru held back Kuro. "No need to fight."

Lawless raised an eyebrow and and his smile got smaller. "Sorry for asking, but..." He began. "Have we met before, Little Lady...?"

Lawless didn't recognize you, but you didn't mind, it has been three-hundred and seven years, after all. "I don't believe we have." You lied.

But then Lawless and Licht left after a while. It felt like he didn't bother to recognize you... But you didn't really care.

As you and Mahiru ran into the theater where Licht was playing, you opened the door to see bodies of vampires all over the place. Blood stained the floor and velvet seats of the room, the silence ghostly and terrifying. You and Mahiru stared in horror as Lawless took credit for killing these people. After, he pushed Mahiru, who went flying into the wall as Kuro caught him.

"What the heck was that for?!" You yelled as you stood in front of Lawless.

"What do you care?" He told you. "Your efforts are useless, Little Lady."

You muttered something, to quiet for him to hear. He raised an eyebrow and put a hand to his ear.

"What was that, Little Lady? I can't hear you." He teased.

"I said you're pathetic," You repeated. "And my name is not Little Lady... My name is (Y/N) (L/N)."

His eyes widened and his mouth went agape, realizing who you were. "Wow, did I really have to tell you who I am for you to remember me?"

"But, you're- you can't be a-"

"A vampire? No, I'm not a human either." You told him. "And you're the same little Crab Cake from three-hundred and seven years ago." You grabbed him by the tie to get him at your eye level, his eyebrows rise at your actions. It was odd to remember how you still loved this man, even after hundreds of years, even after he turned into a monster. You hated to love him, even after you saw all the death he caused.

"I'm not the old (Y/N) (L/N)," You whispered. "I'm something much, much worse."
