"Kiara Malfoy."
Chapter 30: Threats and Dreams
After Valentine's Day, Gryffindor played Hufflepuff in Quidditch and somehow, they only lost by ten points. Fred and George wanted to leave mid-game, not wanting to witness anymore of their defeat, especially after Ron missed his 10th goal. Kiara encouraged them to stay and watch their old team to be supportive nonetheless but unfortunately, after Ron missed four more goals, she wished that she left also.
Currently, Kiara was sitting in the corner of the Common Room next to Fred and George who resembled despair and gloominess. "Come on guys, it wasn't that bad."
Both twins scowled.
"It's our last year love-,"
"We don't even get to play Quidditch as our send-off," George finished Fred's sentence, both looking miserable.
"You can always use that as an idea for a send-off. Let me guess, you both would be the necessary addition that would smash every other team?" Kiara pointed out, feeling guilty for their sadness. They didn't deserve to spend their final year at Hogwarts with Umbridge creating chaos and misery. Their last year was meant to be memorable.
Her eyes widened as she realised something. It was Fred's last year at Hogwarts and there was only a few months left. Kiara still had two years left at Hogwarts until she would be finished too. It made her wonder about how their relationship would work, particularly with long distance.
"Love, are you okay? You blanked out for a second there and my charm turned white. I know that means you're worried about something..."
"Just thinking..."
The twins both looked at each and George said something about heading off to bed. Fred waited for him to leave earshot before turning to her. "Miss Malfoy? What's wrong? You can tell me anything."
Kiara shrugged. "I just started thinking about how you guys won't be around for the next two years and what will happen to us if we don't get to see each other? We might grow apart, we might split up, we might-,"
Fred interrupted. "Miss Malfoy, just because I won't be at Hogwarts for the next two years, doesn't mean I won't still love you and want to be with you. I will see you at Christmas, Easter and in your summer break. We can send each other letters. I promise that we will get through it," Fred grabbed her hand and rested his forehead against hers. "I promise love."
Kiara regretted being doubtful. Fred would never neglect or forget about her, even if they weren't physically near or together for long amounts of time. He would always put in effort for her. "I know, I just realised how much I will miss you."
Fred kissed hher forehead. "I'm going to miss you too which is exactly why we're going to cherish the time we do have together of seeing each other every day."

The next morning, Kiara was sitting in between Harry and Hermione for breakfast. Suddenly, six owls landed in front of Harry, all eager to deliver their letters. More kept streaming through, knocking over food and drinks in the process. An owl landed dangerously close to Kiara's breakfast and she offered a small piece of toast, smiling as it nibbled affectionately.
"What's going on?" Ron asked in amazement. Harry unrolled a copy of the Quibbler. On the last Hogsmeade trip, he had an interview with Luna and Rita Skeeter regarding the truth of what occurred at the end of the Triwizard Tournament last year. His face was on the front cover.
Luna came over and sat next to them. "It's good, isn't it? It came out yesterday, I asked Dad to send you a free copy. I expect all these are letters from the readers."
