"Kiara Malfoy."

Chapter 16: The First Meeting

"Fred! George!" Kiara yelled after two red-heads who were entering the Great Hall for lunch. With a bundle of books in hand, she hurried to catch up with them.

"Ah, Miss Malfoy," Fred began, smiling as she approached.

"What do we owe this pleasure?" George finished, wearing an identical smile to Fred.

In the process of her running so quickly and holding such heavy books, she lost her grip on the books and fumbled with them awkwardly. She nearly dropped them to the floor in the process, until Fred quickly grabbed the falling ones and held them for her.

"Thank you," Kiara puffed, tossing her hair over her shoulder. She glanced around her, making sure that no one could overhear them. "We have the first meeting tonight," She murmured and the twins nodded.

"We'll be there," They echoed and she smiled. Together, they walked into the hall for lunch.

"Wait, Miss Malfoy. Where is it?" Fred asked, grabbing her wrist before she left them to sit with Harry, Ron and Hermione. She felt herself blush, even though she attempted to resist it. She wasn't sure why she kept blushing around Fred, more than usual. He made her blush in the past, but not to the extent that he was lately.

"Room of Requirement," Kiara whispered.

"See you there," George winked. Kiara looked at Fred's hand which was holding her wrist softly with one hand and her books with the other.

"Um Fred, can I have my wrist and books back?" Kiara stammered and he smiled but still held onto it.

"What if I didn't want to give them back to you?" Fred chuckled.

"I would curse you," Kiara threatened. He smirked and stepped towards her, holding her wrist outwards and placing the books carefully in her hand, purposely brushing his hand against hers softly.

He leant towards the frowning Kiara and whispered in her ear. "You wouldn't curse this beautiful face." She blushed at his retreating back, pulling the books tighter to her chest as she joined Harry, Ron and Hermione who were talking about the meeting in hushed voices.

At half-past seven that night, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Kiara left the Gryffindor Common Room and began walking along the seventh floor. "Hold it," Harry warned, halting to a stop as he unfolded a piece of parchment, tapping it with his wand and muttering, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." From where Kiara stood, she could see a map unfurling on the blank piece of parchment. "Filch is on the second floor," Harry said, holding the map close to his eyes. "And Mrs. Norris is on the fourth."

"And Umbridge?" Hermione said anxiously, her eyes scanning the map.

"In her office," Harry said, pointing to her dot. "Okay, let's go."

They scurried along the corridor carefully with Harry keeping a careful eye on the map before they arrived at a stretch of blank wall, opposite an enormous tapestry depicting Barnabas the Barmy's foolish attempt to train trolls for the ballet. "Okay," Harry said quietly. "Dobby said to walk past this bit of wall three times, concentrating hard on what we need."

Nodding, Kiara looked down at the floor and walked up and past the wall, repeating the same words in her mind. 'We need a place where we can learn to defend ourselves... Somewhere where we can fight... A place that'll be our secret...'

She glanced at the wall after her third walk. It was no longer a blank wall. Instead, there was a highly, polished door with a brass handle. Harry immediately grabbed it and swung it open, revealing a large room with torch brackets with no flame in them. Smiling to myself, Kiara flicked her wand at them and they lit up.
