I love that in all of my older Bughead stories Jughead is a author because a he deserves it and b I can't see him as anything else.
Betty's P.O.V
"Jughead! There gonna be here any minute!" I shouted while waking around making sure everything looked presentable. Jughead came out of the bedroom and put his hands on my shoulders to stop me.

"Hey it's gonna be ok it's Archie and Veronica, not the queen of England or your mother" I nodded and took a deep breath in and out
"We just haven't seen them in a while I want to make sure everything goes great"
"And it will" I nodded with Archie being on tour and Jughead just releasing his book everyone was busy but now that things have calmed down, me and Jughead finally moved into a bigger and better apartment I thought it was time I invited V and Archie over for a housewarming party.
"I'm gonna start the barbecue" Jughead said taking his hands of my shoulders I nodded then saw Jughead walk towards the back deck and started up the BBQ. I herd a ring and ran over to the door. I opened it and revealed Archie and Veronica smiling

"Betty!" Veronica said then gave me s hug which I gladly returned
"I missed you V"
"I missed you too" we broke apart
"We need to catch up its been to long"  I nodded
"Great" she smiled then walked in with Archie behind her. He stopped to give me a hug
"Hey Betty how are you?"
"I'm great Archie how are you?"
"Tired" we both laughed "tour can take a lot out of you"
"I bet" I closed the door behind Archie "Jughead is just out on the back deck barbecuing"
"Jughead barbecues?" Veronica asked sitting down
"Yeah his burgers are actually amazing" I said sitting down
"Yeah after years of burgers being his primary food in his diet you would think he would" Veronica said
"They still are" I said with a sigh
"How?" Archie asked
"I don't know" I said "I've given up all hope of trying to get him to eat healthier" from the back deck I herd

"Hey I can hear you talking about me!"
"Well the come join us!" Archie shouted Jughead walked towards the living room where Veronica stood up and gave him a hug. Jughead awkwardly wrapped his arms around her. She broke apart the hug then gently slapped him on the arm
"Ow! What was that for"
"The ending to your book"
"You lived it!" He defended
"Still" she huffed and crossed her arms but didn't stay like that for too long and both people started to laugh
"So you liked it?" He asked
"Loved it if only Archie would finish it"
"I don't have time!" Archie defended Jughead went over to Archie and have him a hug too.
"How was entertaining thousands of people on stage every night?"
"Amazing but exhausting" he replied "how was book tour?" Jughead groaned
"Oh you loved it" I said smiling

"I loved the people's reactions not so much the swarms of fans, they didn't get the hint that I'm taken" he said smiling at me. Even after all these years Jughead still looks at me like I'm the only person in the world that matters to him.
"So Betty mentioned burgers?" Archie asked
"Yeah their on the grill right now" Jughead stepped back to resume his cooking while the three of us got caught up in the living room.

"I love your place B" Veronica said looking around
"Thanks we still wanted to live in the city and we wanted someplace bigger but not to big. We even have our own office."
"So how are you doing with work?" Archie asked
"Work is work I guess but I'm doing what I love"
"Your articles are amazing Betty"
"Thanks V your shop is doing great, I'll have to stop by sometime"
"Oh please do" I made a mental note to see when my next day off was and put it in then. A few minutes later Jughead came in

"Foods ready" we all got up and set the table, I took the salads I made before they showed up out of the fridge and put it on the table along with everything else. Everyone sat and ate completing Jughead on the burgers and Jughead complaining about the salad
"I don't know what half of this is"
"Jughead that's a carrot"
"And this"
"Egg"
"Why would you put egg in a salad! Eggs don't belong in a salad! Salad doesn't belong in a salad!" Archie and Veronica were snickering at the other side of the table and I rolled my eyes
"Jughead you can't eat off burgers forever, I want you to live a long and healthy life" with that Jughead stuck his fork in the salad and ate it without complaining. The rest of the evening was spent with laughs and just 4 old friends catching up and celebrating what their life is now.
