Pain radiated from Serenity as the lights turned on, making her head throb even more than it already was. "For godsakes Serenity, you look like hell." Avalon said rushing to her side gently brushing her hair out of her face examining the bruises on the side of her face. "Ah, easy my face is still tender." Serenity said slowly sitting up, every bone in her body screaming in protest. "What happened?" Serenity asked staring down at her bruised arm that was hooked on an IV. Avalon sighed pacing the small hospital room and Olivia sat down on the bed her bright green eyes full of worry. "You were hit by a car Serenity. In the middle of Towns Square." Olivia said her eyes searching Serenity's. "I, how I don't understand." Serenity said pulling at the IV in her arm panic beginning to set in. "Stop." Jules said walking in her glasses covering honey brown eyes, her stethoscope hanging around her neck her brown hair was hanging in a messy bun and her small frame stood over Serenity. "Serenity, this is the second time in the last six months that you've been hurt without knowing what happened."Jules said putting her hands in her coat pockets. "Look I know it looks bad, I've just been a bit distracted lately. I, I'm sorry," Serenity said looking at her friends. "Where's Scarlet?" Serenity asked softly. She was the only person who actually calmed her. "Don't change the subject Serenity, we need to talk about what's going on with you before you get hurt again, or worse." Avalon said combing a hand through her black hair her brown black eyes full of worry. "I'm fine guys maybe I just need some sleep, then all will be well. Please I'll be fine." Serenity said softly before a nurse came in rushing them out and sending Jules on to a new patient. The lights turned out leaving Serenity alone in the dark.
The hospital was quite and it was freaking her out making Serenity shake as sweat dripped on her suddenly tight skin. The IV made her uncomfortable her mind was racing too much making it next to impossible for Serenity to sleep. With a final attempt to sleep Serenity pulled the IV out of her arm, blood running down her arm as she stood up and left her cramped room. Serenity peeked out of the door seeing no one, which was odd but she didn't care she needed to get out of this hospital. Serenity walked down the cold hallway her bare feet hit the cold tile with a small tap with each step. Then she heard the sound of heavy boots slowly following her, taunting her. Panic set in, her heart was racing as she took off in a run. "Serenity!" A voice screamed at her, angrily following her every step. "You can run all you want but I'll always find you," the deep voice said laughing softly. "Do you hear me? I'll always find you because I own you!" Serenity ran out the hospital doors to the roof, the cool rain slowly dropped on her skin soaking her hospital gown. "You can't escape me Serenity, I'm everywhere. I am your worst nightmare don't forget it." With the Serenity was pushed off of the roof by a faceless man. Serenity screamed her body snapping on impact, until lights poured around her and she was back in her hospital room as doctors held her down before one injected her with a needle, then the world went black around her.
