The days slowly ran into one another as Serenity stayed stuck in her room. She didn't try to talk to Xavier didn't even respond when he knocked on the door his low sigh the only thing she heard for days. She was worried she would be there until Draco caught her. Her friends even her brother were MIA leaving her alone with Xavier in a large house mainly by herself. Serenity sighed turning away from the window where she sat looking at the rain as it fell a symphony of tears she couldn't muster for herself. God she needed to get out of the room she decided as she slid on a pair of boots from the closet that were size and a coat, Xavier must've put them in there when she was asleep she thought rolling her eyes before she left the room. She descended the stairs stopping halfway through as she heard voices down the hall. "We are wasting our time, she clearly doesn't know how to use her powers. Besides she's like an emo teenager," a feminine voice scoffed. Serenity rolled her eyes ignoring the woman as she listened more intently. "Freya the fact that you're here tells me you didn't just come to complain." A deep voice said, but it wasn't Xavier. "They aren't here they probably went into to town." They didn't know she was here, they must know about her but how did they find her? She wondered as she slowly stepped her foot back onto the stair cursing as the wood creaked. "Someone is here." the woman said the sound of a gun cocking made Serenity's blood run cold as she ran the rest of the way downstairs and towards the front door throwing it open not looking back as the strangers gave chase. The rain pelted on her skin and the cool air hit her face like a punch in the gut. "Damn does this girl run track?" she heard behind her but didn't stop until she hit into something solid. Serenity fell her eyes lifting up and meeting a scolding Xavier. "What the hell are you doing?" he demanded lifting Serenity to her feet. "There's people in the house," she panted pulling her hand out of Xavier's grasp. "Yeah they are here to train you, if you would've left your room then you would have met them instead of causing a scene." Serenity glared at Xavier, he had the audacity to yell at her as if she were a child. "Listen here buddy, you will not talk down at me like I'm your child." Xavier clenched his teeth grabbing her and pulling her close to him her chest pressing against his. "Then stop acting like a child. You are in my house so you follow my rules do you understand me?" His face was close to hers so close that she could feel his warm breath as it fanned against her. His scent engulfed her, the smell of pine and leather a weirdly intoxicating scent almost like well aged Brandy. Serenity felt heat go through her body as if lightening was going through her veins. She shook her head pushing Xavier away from her, "You won't hold me as a prisoner." Xavier rolled his eyes his tall muscular build towering over her and he could easily put her on her ass with just a flick of his wrist but he didn't. In fact it looked like he was trying not to laugh at her. Which only made her angrier. "Are you seriously laughing at me right now?" she demanded. The rain poured over them drenching them but neither moved. "Should we come back?" the woman Freya asked. "We'll be right there go wait inside." Xavier said and now it was just the two of them. "Are you done?" he asked turning those golden eyes to her. Serenity wanted to argue but she thought better of it only shaking her head and turning on her heel and walking towards the house. This was the last thing she wanted to do was train to get something that was next to impossible to get.
Hours passed at an agonizingly slow pace as Serenity was tossed from across the room and back. Literally. Freya the blonde bombshell didn't take it easy on her but Mason a tall lanky red head was gentle and patient with her. As she lay on the floor sweat pooling from her and her breathing becoming labored and it was at the moment that Freya decided to roughly pull her to her feet her green eyes bright and full of glee. "Don't give up now Serenity I'm just getting started." Serenity panted as she pushed the woman away from her, "You're enjoying this aren't you?" Freya nodded a smirk playing on her mouth. Serenity sighed before dropping to the floor exhaustion flooding through her. "Awe. Done already?" Freya actually pouted but she stopped as soon as Xavier came into the room holding a bottle of opened water and handing it to Serenity who downed it without a second thought. "I think that's all for the night. Thank you." Xavier said nodding in their direction. They nodded back and then vanished. "Where did they go?" Serenity asked with shock, they disappeared in thin air. "Here drink this?" Xavier said handing Serenity a bottle of water, "She enjoyed the torment." Serenity said as she gulped down the water. "She was just helping you could try harder." Serenity looked at him shocked at what he was saying, "First I was trying, and second I didn't ask for this nor do I want to be apart of this immortal world you all have. I want to go home and be with Grayson." Xavier pulled her up his grip tight on her arm as he pulled her against him his eyes flashing with anger. "You will ever go back there do you understand me?" Serenity yanked away from his hold her own anger and irritation getting to her. "So I'm just supposed to be your prisoner? I don't want this why can't we just give Draco what he wants? I don't want these 'powers'. Nor do I want to be stuck with you against my will." She snapped running her hands through her hair roughly so she didn't throw something at Xavier. "Do you honestly think I want to be stuck here making sure you don't do anything stupid and stay safe? I'm not your babysitter and I have more important things to take care of that you having a tantrum." Serenity glared at Xavier as they stood toe to toe both of them angry. This was too much for her she didn't like being yanked out of her world and she sure as hell didn't want to be stuck with a man who didn't want her there. "If you don't want me here then let me leave," she challenged fisting her hands at her sides as she felt her skin heat up. Xavier chuckled rolling his amber eyes at her. "Don't challenge me because you won't win. This is for your safety Serenity. Stop being a selfish child about it." Serenity lifted her hand ready to strike against him but he caught her hand pushing her against the wall holding her hands above her head his breathing heavy.
"You're really testing me woman." Serenity pushed against him but he didn't budge he was stronger than her and being an immortal he had many more years on her which pissed her off more. "Are you getting angry? If I'm making you so angry then let me go!" Serenity yelled kicking at him to no avail and it pissed her off when he seemed so unfazed by her, in fact he got closer to her his face inches away from hers. His breath fanned over her his lips were close to hers. Barley touching and she stopped. Looking up at him watching as his eyes never left her mouth and the fact that she never really looked at him before. He was perfect. His face was chiseled with a slight beard dusting his cheeks. His eyes were amber covered by thick black lashes that any woman would kill to have, but those eyes they held secretes, a lot of them. They also held dark promises either of pain or pleasure and she could tell he'd do either without hesitation. Her gaze went to his lips, they were a lush pink and looked soft where everything else about him was hard and when he moved closer she prepared herself for whatever was to come. His hand moved up her arm causing chills to rack through her, hell what was he doing to her? She wondered as his strong hand cupped her chin making her look up at him. "You are here for your protection, don't try to fight me on this or do anything stupid because you will regret it." Xavier said letting her go and turning on his heel and left her alone.
