Oblivion

Chapter 10

   "And how do you expect me to do that?" Serenity asked. Avalon stood wiping some blood from her nose her eyes going from white to the dark brown. "Emotions. You have to channel your emotions." Serenity stared around her confused by it all. Just a few days ago she was in her apartment with Grayson. Serenity stopped the blood draining from her face. "Grayson. Where's Grayson?" Jules walked into the room a steaming cup in her hands before she said casually, "He's dead Serenity." Serenity was confused how had no one told her that the man she was with for over a year was dead. Her eyes watered and her body began to heat up, sweat beading at her temple. He was dead how was he dead? "How?" she asked her voice catching from the tears she tried to hold back. Jules placed her mug down on the fire place mantle before pulling her phone out and bending down to where Serenity sat showing her a mangled body. "That's him Serenity. Dead never coming back." Jules said watching as Serenity shook her head fiercely. Serenity slowly lifted the phone staring at the body that was mutilated so bad that it was difficult to see who it was. "Juliette." Scarlet said walking closer to where she sat.  Jules grabbed the phone meeting Serenity's eyes. "I killed him Serenity." Serenity  gaped at her friend shock radiating from her body.  

           "That's not possible. You're a doctor you wouldn't hurt anyone." Jules looked down at the phone running her finger over the picture a small smirk on her mouth. "That's where you're wrong Serenity. I looked him in the eyes, the same way I'm looking at you and I slit his throat. I watched as his blood slowly ran down his body, his face a look of horror as I slid the tip of the blade across his trachea just enough to where it didn't kill him right away. He suffered and I enjoyed watching the life slowly fade out of his eyes." Jules said not flinching as she was pushed back from Serenity as her friend stood. "You killed the man I loved? Are you fucking insane?" Serenity shouted angrily. "I'd hardly call what the two of you had love. It was a joke," she said walking over to Serenity grabbing her throat adding pressure but not enough to cut off her air supply. "What are you waiting for Serenity? Are you afraid that I could easily kill you and not blink?" Jules said her thumb pressed against Serenity's racing pulse. "Juliette, stop." Avalon snapped trying to grab Jules only to stop when she went flying through the air and crashing into the wall. The wall cracked and plaster and insulation fell around her. Serenity walked over to her fist pressed against her chest pressing directly against her heart. Bone snapped and blood seeped from Jules' chest but she didn't blink or flinch, that was until heat pressed directly into her heart. Jules gasped her breathing becoming labored and shallow, if she didn't stop Serenity she would be dead.  But Jules didn't care she needed Serenity to get her strength and powers back so they can defeat Draco. "He's not dead Serenity." Olivia said walking up to the pair placing her hand over Serenity's and pulling it away from Jules who fell to the floor gasping for breath holding her hand to the gaping hole in her chest before she blacked out.
