Water cascaded over Xavier as he placed Serenity under the cold water trying to cool her burning skin off his face grim. "Damn it Xavier we live you to take care of her for two weeks and she's like this." Avalon said walking into the bathroom with Eli. "Her powers are fighting against her human body. If I didn't show up when I did this could've went wrong faster than it already has." Xavier said holding Serenity's limp body against him holding the shower head against her face. Her body was too still and her skin was pale, her lips tinted blue. "She should've had this handled years ago." Xavier gritted out trying to calm himself, he couldn't let his emotions get the best of him again. Especially for a woman who didn't remember him. "You know it was safer for her back then. She witnessed the murder of her human parents we couldn't risk it." Avalon said running her hand through her hair as she looked down at her friend listening to the small thud of her heart. "It should be different. Draco should've died centuries ago but he out smarted us yet again." Eli said leaning against the charred bathroom wall his eyes never leaving from Avalon. "He cheated nature. He didn't outsmart anyone." Avalon said turning to Eli her dark eyes holding something back. "What are you talking about?" Xavier asked. "He forced an imprint on Serenity, he knows where she's at all the time. His life force is connected to hers so if he dies she dies. It's his way of winning no matter the outcome. The more her powers come out the more he has to getting what he wants. There's no way around this at all." Avalon said letting Serenity fall limply into her arms as Xavier stood his jaw clenching and unclenching.

"You didn't think to tell anyone?" demanded Xavier his eyes flashing to red. "I didn't realize it until now. He shared his blood with her somehow and I don't understand how." Avalon said pressing her hands against Serenity's temples her dark eyes turning white. The air shifted around the room and an image appeared.

"Draco." Serenity whispered as a tall man stood in front of her blood and dead bodies surrounding him. "Ahh Serenity my sweet." Draco said as he ripped a heart from the dying body before standing in front of Serenity his bloody hand drifting down to Serenity's face smearing blood on her cheek before running his thumb over her mouth. It wasn't real Serenity grabbed his wrist snapping the bone easily. The scream shattered the memory.

Serenity woke up gasping her orange grey eyes meeting Avalon's white ones.  Serenity blinked her eyes focusing in on Avalon her eyes brown again. "Avalon?" Serenity whispered as her friend turned off the cold water. "Hey. How are you feeling?" Serenity looked around her seeing Eli standing against a charred wall and it was just them. Xavier was no where in sight. "What's going on?" Serenity asked turning back to Avalon. "Well we are here to come get you. To bring you to Aaron's. So we can help you." Avalon said talking to her as if she were a child. Serenity sat up away from her friend her head pounding with every movement she made. "Where's Xavier?"she asked. "He went out so he could give you space." Eli said his thick British accent oddly calming. "I'm not leaving." Serenity said standing up clutching the shower curtain around her body. Xavier must've put it around her when he placed her in the shower Serenity thought. Or at least she thought he did. "Serenity," Avalon started but Serenity cut her off when she walked out of the bathroom into the burnt down hallway. "What, did I?" Serenity started looking at the damage she obviously did. "I didn't mean to." she whispered. "We know you aren't in control of your powers yet we can help you." Avalon said, but Serenity knew that if she left she wouldn't see Xavier. And for some reason the thought of leaving him made her feel empty inside. She didn't know why she felt this way but it didn't matter to her. "I want to stay with Xavier," she said watching as he walked into the burnt house. He hair was pulled in a hair tie away from his face showing his features as if he had just walked off of a magazine cover, he was perfect and Serenity was just now seeing it. "You need to go with them Serenity." Was his voice always this deep? She wondered to herself. "No. I want to stay with you." She said swallowing hard as she met his gaze.      "Serenity seriously we need to get you out of here. Draco knows where you are." Avalon said. "Then Xavier has to come too. Draco knows where he is too." Serenity said stubbornly her heart was beating faster and faster and it freaked her out how much she wanted Xavier with her. Mate. The word whispered like a prayer in her head and it calmed her thudding heart as if subconsciously she knew what was happening and she was okay with it. "Xavier comes too."
