Serenity sat dazed in front of the fire place letting the heat wash over her like a river, she sat in her room waiting, waiting to bond with a man she didn't know to get away from a man who bonded with her without her knowledge. The very thought of the entire bonding made Serenity want to run and disappear but she knew she couldn't she had to fight back or at least die trying. "You don't have to go through with it Serenity." Xavier said drawing her from her dark thoughts and back to her even darker reality. "If I'm going to be bonded with someone it might as well be you," she said never turning from the fire. Xavier sighed walking up behind her resting his hand on her shoulder, "Serenity we can and will find another way." Serenity turned slowly letting Xavier pull her to her feet his hands warm against her cold skin. "There isn't another way. I don't want Draco thinking that he has some hold on me. I can't do this if it means I'm stuck to that monster." Xavier ran his thumb over Serenity's cheek the touch was so gentle she wouldn't of been able to feel it if it wasn't sending chills down her spine. "But you'll be stuck to another monster. I can't do that to you. Not again." With that he was gone, before she could even blink and he left her standing there. She didn't know rather to be relieved that he thought about her wants or hurt that he didn't want to mate with her. Serenity sat at the edge of the bed her hand going to her cheek where Xavier touched her, leaving her wanting more of him. Just like the past. Serenity stopped her heart racing as it fell into place. She remembered! She remembered the first time she ever saw Xavier, the first kiss they ever shared. The first time they slept together, the first time and only time she fell in love. "I remember," she whispered to herself before grabbing her jacket and went to search for Xavier.

Xavier panted as he ran through the woods and swamps of New Orleans his heart heavy and his anger high. Why the hell did he walk away from Serenity? She couldn't remember, because they were part of a world that was made solely for the purpose to manipulate others and take what they wanted. Rain pelted down on Xavier as he repeatedly slammed his fist into the tree, relishing in the pain and enjoying the snap every bone made when he connected his fist to the tree. He needed Serenity but he knew he couldn't really have her, especially if she couldn't remember the time they had with each other for centuries, and it was Draco who did this. It was the higher power of their realm. "Fuck," Xavier shouted angrily. He needed to leave Serenity she would never be safe with him around, he was only going to cause her death. He would leave, and find a way to break the bond without him mating with her. With his mind made up he turned to leave only to see Serenity staring at him panting, "Ian said you might be here." Serenity said to him, as she walked up to him. "What are you doing here?" Xavier demanded putting more distance through them, thunder sounded through the distance and the rain began to fall faster and harder. Drenching them but Serenity didn't seem to care. "To stop you from doing something stupid," she said lifting up his hand running her thumb over the already healing wounds. "Though I'm a little late." She stared up at him her blue eyes hopeful but they also held fear. "I'll find another way to break the bond Serenity." Xavier said pushing her hands off of him ready to turn away. "Do you remember, in 1832, when we first met?" Serenity asked stopping Xavier in his tracks. "That awful ball for Louis Napoleon in France? You were the Greek boy who was the leader for his army. You were there, my father introduced you to me, but I already saw you that night. By the bay window." Serenity said walking up to Xavier placing her hand on his back feeling him tense beneath her touch. "You got these scars on your back from being held captive," she whispered tracing his muscles through his wet shirt. "You left me that night too, just like you did tonight. I felt empty for some reason and all I needed was you. I remember Xavier, you made me remember." Xavier turned to her his hand gripping her hair hard but not enough to cause her pain. "You remember?" he whispered. "I remember. Xavier please don't leave me again." Serenity whispered linking her hands behind his neck overwhelmed by the memories but she needed them. Just like she needed Xavier. "Promise," her sentence was cut off by Xavier as his mouth crashed over hers. Serenity gasped softly as she opened up for him. This was what she needed and she knew that with her memories coming back that it was only a matter of time before Draco found them. But she wouldn't think about that now she needed Xavier. The rest will fall into place soon enough. Serenity gasped as he pushed her against a tree the wet bark digging roughly into her back as he lifted her up to wrap her legs around his waist. His mouth was hot on hers and full of need. His lips trailed down her neck causing her to sigh softly as she lifted up her hand stabbing the syringe into his neck watching as his eyes widened in shock. "I'm sorry," she whispered watched him fall to the ground.

"You had to love." Alister said pulling Xavier away from her.                                                                             "When he finds out what we did he will come to kill us." Alister sighed lifting up Xavier's arm and lifting him up over his shoulder. "Athena it is in everyone's best interest. You said so yourself that Serenity remembered. If we don't push her to use her magic we are all dead. We just needed a little extra help."
