Oblivion

Chapter 24

           Light shined through the window hitting Serenity as she slowly stirred awake stretching her body as she sat up pulling the blanket up to cover herself. She looked around the room remembering the night before. The way Xavier cherished her like he was afraid to break her, he was gentle where he needed to be but rough at the same time. Serenity blushed at the thought of him. She turned in the bed only to see he wasn't there. Serenity stood up ready to go search for him when she heard the shower running in the bathroom that was connected to her room. Serenity made her way to the bathroom opening the door slightly to Xavier standing under the water. "Are you going to keep staring love?" His deep voice vibrated through the bathroom as she jumped from shock. "Sorry I um I wanted to see where you were. I'm sorry." Serenity rambled her face heating with embarrassment. Xavier turned around facing her his dark eyes staring down at her  but her gaze was following the water that dropped over his taunt body each muscle as if he was a gift to all women and yet he wanted her. Xavier moved closer to her pulling the blanket away from her leaving her bare for him. He held his hand out and she took it letting him pull her under the warm water and he towered over her. Filled the space between them, that with every breath she took he was there. Serenity looked up at him wrapping her arms around his neck and he pulled her closer to him holding her, protecting her. "Do you think Draco is going to find us again?" Serenity asked softly as Xavier pushed against the tiled wall. "I won't let anything happen Serenity. Not again." Serenity nodded running her fingers over the scars that littered his back and torso. "What happened?" Xavier didn't answer just pulled her hands away from the scars kissing her lips softly his tongue invading her mouth dominating all of her senses as his hands roamed over her body lifting her up so that her legs wrapped around his hips his hands holding onto her ass ready to take her when the door opened. "Xavier we found the wiccan." Xavier growled low in his throat as the door slammed closed leaving Serenity looking down at Xavier who just swiftly kissed her head before pulling away and leaving her alone in the shower. Serenity sighed and finished taking her shower before she joined the others. 

"So you're saying that the wiccan is all the way in Cuba as a club owner?" Xavier was saying as Serenity walked into the dining room where everyone was sitting and eating. Serenity took the seat next to Xavier pouring herself a cup of coffee as she listened to the debate around her. "Abogado del diablo is the name of the club," Olivia said her green eyes glazed over as she touched a word that was placed in front of her. "How do you know?" Avalon asked moving to stand behind Olivia. "She goes against nature." That was all Olivia said before her eyes went back to their normal shade of green. "She's only there during a full moon. That's when she changes humans into immortals." Olivia said tensed until Ian ran his hand over her back in which she visibly relaxed. "The next full moon is in three weeks. I'll start the flight plans and find a condo we can stay at." Carson said getting up and leaving the room with Scarlet following after him. "I'll start gathering the weapons," Eli said and one by one they left leaving Serenity alone with Xavier who sat quietly beside her. "Do you think it's really the wiccan who cursed Draco?" Serenity asked turning to Xavier. "I don't know but I can't risk you getting hurt Serenity. You need to stay here." Serenity gaped at him as he got up and walked away leaving her alone in the dining room, he just told her what to do as if she were a child. Serenity stood up to follow him only to stop in her tracks when she heard Xavier talking to someone, "She's not strong enough to go there. Anything can happen and I can't risk it."  Serenity turned away and walked outside, she was strong enough to go. She wasn't going to let Xavier go without her so she needed to build her strength up.

 "Ye do know Xavier will have my balls for this don't ye lass?" Ian asked his Scottish accent thick as he looked around them as if making sure Xavier was nowhere in site. "Well she needs to learn to use her powers Ian," Olivia said sweetly as she pulled Ian down beside her on the grass. The three of them were currently in the middle of the woods  where Olivia can connect with earth better.  "Please Ian?" Serenity asked as she sat in front of them watching Ian as he rolled his blue eyes before agreeing with Serenity. They sat there for hours, teaching Serenity basic self defense skills and how to contact her powers when she needed it most. After the sun finally set Serenity was exhausted and could barley walk she hurt so bad but she felt as if she would get her strength up. At least she hoped so.
