Oblivion

Chapter 27

    Dedra laughed as the earth shook, she radiated glee as she pulled away from Serenity. "What did you do?" Serenity demanded trying to steady her footing as the ground literally opened taking the bodies with it, Xavier was suddenly next to Serenity his hand gripping her arm. "Serenity lets go," Xavier demanded but Serenity didn't listen she needed answers. "Dedra what did you do?" Serenity asked again gritting her teeth hard. "I freed him, Draco is now out in the open and he will kill you only this time you won't come back. None of you will and I suggest you figure out what to do because Draco wasn't the only one freed, every single immortal that was trapped is after you and  you have no one to blame but yourself." Dedra laughed again and Serenity was suddenly in front of her grasping her throat tightly in her hand crushing the bone. "Why did you free them?" Serenity demanded her hand burning as flames licked up her body, and the first trace of fear appeared on Dedra's face. "You betrayed me, you left me to die all those years ago, you were my friend, I was in love with you and you abandoned me! After I helped you all abandoned me and this is your punishment. You will die I'll make sure of that!" Dedra hissed, Serenity dug her hand deeper into her throat watching as blood rushed to her hand but she let go. Xavier pulled her away as the ground parted and hell fires shot up gripping at the dead bodies that lay on the floor of the club, Draco was going to kill them over something that happened centuries ago. Xavier didn't seem concerned with the fact that Draco was free, he only wanted to get Serenity to safety. A scream went through the air and Avalon fell through the ground her nails gripping onto the cement as the ground opened more. Serenity dropped to the ground gripping Avalon's hands as the fire got higher and higher. "Serenity go!" Avalon shouted it was just the two of them the ground split them all up Xavier was thrown outside as the building began to collapse leaving Serenity and  Avalon alone in the crumbling club. "No Avalon." Serenity shouted as her grip began to slip her shoes were sliding and she and Avalon began to fall. Avalon looked down watching as the bodies disappeared in the earth. Hell was closing in on them and she and Serenity were going to fall next. "Avalon. I don't think I can hold you any longer." Serenity said her blue eyes flashing red and orange to blue. 

   " Serenity, let go. Let go of me please." Avalon begged but it was too late the two were already falling their screams echoing as the earth closed in on them. Serenity could feel her back begin to crack, her bones were breaking and being over whelmed by her powers. Her wings broke through her skin fire taking hold of her, controlling her. She grabbed Avalon who was in the mix of her own transformation their powers were fighting against the earth, they were earth and Draco was calling to them. The unnatural force of the earth breaking was propelling them through hell the fiery depth was leaving them falling to their death until something stopped the falling stopped Serenity looked at Avalon her body was disoriented, her eyes white nothing to be seen just white. Serenity realized that Avalon had all the elements of nature, she stopped the earth from swallowing them, stopped it from bringing them to hell. Serenity felt her wings open and close around her, the flame of her body hot and burning away anything in site, the falling bodies, the rocks everything but Avalon. She grabbed her friend and moved up to the opening in the club where the dead bodies fell but she didn't stop no matter how weak she felt. Serenity saw the opening, saw Dedra waiting for them her red eyes gleaming with humor as she pulled the two up. Serenity fell to the ground gasping for air wondering if Xavier was safe or not but the  world blacked out around her. 

 Xavier pushed at Aaron cursing at him. "What the fuck Aaron! Serenity is still there she could be killed! Avalon could be dead!" Jules shouted, Aaron transported them all away from the crumbling club but Serenity and Avalon weren't with them. "Send me back!" Xavier demanded flashing his fangs at him. "I can't. I used the last of my strength to get you all here when I felt the ground shake and the earth started cracking and falling apart."Aaron said just as angry but at himself. His sister was alone and they were trapped in the house. They couldn't leave he had Dimitri spell the house to where they couldn't leave. "You can't leave either. The house is spelled we can leave for our own safety." Aaron said wishing now that it wasn't. Xavier punched Aaron sending him flying, he was going to kill him. "Stop!" Olivia shouted dropping to the floor her nose and eyes bleeding. "What the hell is going on?" Isiah demanded as the lights flashed on and off until the lights exploding leaving them in darkness. Car alarms sounded in the distance the shaking becoming more intense and one by one Olivia, Jules and Scarlet fell to the ground screaming. "That can't be." Aaron said softly. "What the fuck is going on?" Xavier demanded angrily there was nothing to be done it was all getting worse as if the world were ending. "Avalon, she's draining them of their powers. She's killing them, if they die the world ends and nothing can be done. Unless she stops." 

Serenity blinked open her eyes her head pounding and blood dripping from her nose her back was arching in pain but no sound came out of her. But Avalon was next to her, In a trance and it felt as if she were dying. "Ava," Serenity gasped coughing but Avalon didn't respond, Dedra was next to her whispering in her ear running her hair gently through Avalon's dark hair looking at Serenity smirking. Avalon looked at Serenity her body bursting with flames and Serenity felt it, her body heated up and her bones cracked breaking with every word Avalon whispered. Serenity screamed pain radiating from her body. Avalon was draining her powers, she was killing her. Dedra was killing her. Serenity screamed loudly again as she tried to move, she was going to die. And it would be a very painful death unless she could somehow get Dedra away from Avalon. Serenity swallowed hard gritting her teeth as she slowly stood up  the pain was too much but she had to at least fight to live. Dedra looked at Serenity licking her fangs before sinking them into Avalon's neck. Serenity didn't think twice she threw herself onto Dedra pushing her away from Avalon who was still in a trance. But slowly she slumped over growing unconscious and the world stopped shaking stilling everything. But Dedra was still here, trying to control Avalon. "I should've used you. You're stronger than you look." Serenity wiped the blood from her face walking up to the woman. "Serenity stop, you don't want to fight me. I can easily kill you and your unborn children." Dedra said smirking. Serenity didn't let what she said distract her as she launched herself at the women pushing her into a large piece of wood impaling her on it. Dedra's eyes widened and Serenity gasped. She looked down at Dedra watching as her black heart was pushed through her chest cavity. The organ fell to the ground at Serenity's feet and Dedra slumped over her eyes glazing over with death leaving Serenity alone with an  unconscious Avalon. Serenity swallowed hard slowly backing away from Dedra's dead body to Avalon. She had to get them out of there before someone came along. Serenity bent down and pulled Avalon to her feet wrapping her arm around her Serenity pushed through all the damage hoping that whatever happened during that night that everyone else was okay. That Xavier was okay.
